Does vMix support output to Black Magic Mini Monitor? I tried to output to this and I can see it on the list of available cards in the external output setting but when you enable external output nothing shows on my monitor.

Hi, a maximum of 2 external SDI outputs with vMix 4K and PRO.

At 1:31, Tim says "In all editions of vMix, you have the ability to send out one external output." This is a little misleading, he means AT LEAST one external output. In 4K and Pro, you get two external outputs (as he actually says later in the video).

Would be possible to send just graphic from 1 computer to another and play as an transparent overlay? So someone else can do the graphic on 1 pc and on the other pc handle the Live stream?

Yes that would be possible. You can use vMix and use NDI locally, but you would need a 2nd installation. You could also use the Web Controller on another computer on the same network and that would give you some titling capabilities (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OJOTD35-nDI.html). There is a lot of NDI title software that allow you to send graphics over the local network.

Can vMix live capture each of the four SDI inputs into four separate videos while also live switching and recording the live edit? Obviously using the DeckLink 8K Pro capture card...

I Use Vmix to record classes. Sometimes i want to send cue messages for the teacher that he can read on his tv monitor ( in front of him), but those messages will be show in the recordings. Theres some trick to put this messages on screen ofr the teacher without showing it in the recordings?

How did you capture the desktop with the all vMIX software without see it in the right monitor, the side of the main output where it usually seen there? Is it because it a pro version and you can choose your outputs?

The Decklink card being quite expensive is it possible to connect the Atomos on the LAN and record via NDI output from vMix without the requirement to connect it via an SDI cable?

If you wanted 3in/1out you could go with a Blackmagic Duo 2. If you need 4in/1out, you'd need a Quad 2

Hi, you can either use the ports as input OR output.

Yes, you could do that. You would just need another device that could input and record the NDI feed. You could use vMix, OBS or NDI Studio Monitor.

Is BMD's Intensity Shuttle USB3 still classed as 'unsupported' ? Getting that thing to work is, challenging,.... :D

Officially it is still unsupported. The challenge is finding a system it is properly compatible with. So it may work on some systems and others it may not.

I have a system that matches BMD's recommendations ..... It still was a nightmare to get it to work 🤣 Just trying to decide between trying it or buying a new PCIe based output card.

Is there a way to get rid of the delay noticed using the external output feature? In live production, the external output adds delay on the TV Screens.

Due to processing on the computer, all software-based encoders will introduce latency. For lowest latency from vMix, output from your GPU. For best IMAG results you'd need to use hardware from end to end and not go through vMix.
