In this video we take a quick look at adding the Time and Countdown/Countup clocks into your live production.
Here is the XAML code for counting to a time. You'll need to edit your time. {0:07:00:00PM|HH:mm:ss}. You can even add text around the code. For example- Countdown to my next show- {0:07:00:00PM|HH:mm:ss}!

This is the XAML code for the time of day- {0:hh:mm:ss tt}
If you want to use 24-hour time, you just need to capitalise the hour. For example- {0:HH:mm:ss tt}

I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the countdown timer overlay from the active screen once it is done with shortcuts or triggers. Do you have a video that covers this? Thanks!

Hi, unfortunately there isn't currently a trigger response for Countdown completion. You could create a video title with alpha in an NLE and use that as a countdown, then you could set a trigger on completion. You could also perhaps take a look at the 3rd party topics on our forum. It is possible to trigger an input after the "time of day" countdown ends? I use vMix 22. {0:10:14:00AM|HH:mm:ss} - after the countdown reaches 0, the code doesn't trigger anything. I only managed to trigger actions with simple countdowns, not "time of day" based countdowns. Any solutions for me? Thanks

@vMix I'm using "countdowncomplete" to trigger a fade to a camera but it doesn't work.

Is it possible when I layer a countdown timer to an input say a video that it automatically starts the timer when I cut the video in??

Thanks for the video! I just found out that when you use bold font for the timer then it starts moving a bit every time a number changes.

I'm trying to set presets for the countdown timer, but finding it really difficult. I want to set a trigger to set the timer for however long a presenter has to speak and start it as I transition their preset to program. The countdown timer seems to record presets, and when you double click them it previews the correct value, but when you hit start the timer just reverts back to whatever time is in the settings tab in countdown. Can anyone help? TIA

Is there any way to have the time show less than a second? We produce sports a lot and most timed sports countdown using tenths of seconds in the last minute of a game of football and basketball. It would be great if we could display that on our score bugs. Thanks!

Maybe a little late, but for other people seeing this: Yes this is possible: It's called fractions and can be put in the format like: HH:mm:ss:ff If you don't want hundreds of seconds, use a single f to only show the tenths of seconds :)

Are you able to reset the timer to use again and if so, how do you do that?

Once it's finished, you can press the play button again to restart. Or you could set up a shortcut- StartCountdown

Do you mean for the time of day? You just need to use this in any of your vMix titles- {0:hh:mm:ss tt}
