hi there. what do you want to know about Angelina ? first thing, the outfit she is wearing was designed by Angelina and her grandma Meri. second, Angelina ALWAYS performs barefoot. this is something she started doing at 6 years old because of a accidental meeting with a young homeless girl in the middle east. the little girl who was also 6 at that time didnt have shoes and the bottoms of her feet were all scarred up. she told Angelina how pretty her shoes were and Angelina took the shoes off her feet and gave them to this little girl to have. Angelina told her parents then that she would always perform barefoot until every child in the world had shoes to wear. Angelina went on NORWAYS GOT TALENT at age 7 and turned 8 by the finale of the show. there are 4 performances for her on the show, first audition, judges cuts ( she sings acapella ), semifinals and then finale. she made the top 10, then the top 3, and of course she won !!! in the finale show with 10 total acts, Angelina received 46% of all the votes !!! she won 500,000 kr, norwegian money, which was equal to about $ 58,000 in american money. during this same time, A G T winners were getting $ 1,000,000.00 during her time on A G T THE CHAMPIONS, Simon and the shows producers approached her and her family about signing a contract with the show. they wanted to pick the songs she would sing etc etc. Angelina told them thank you but no thank you, she had always picked the songs she sang and had arranged the way she sang the songs. her parents also said no because they wanted to make sure she finished school and she was too young. because she turned them down, the show did not allow her to win or even make the top 5. she made the top 10 but was elimnated before the winners announcement was made. i quit watching AGT after this happened. they cant be fair with the contestants, i dont need to watch them.... her very first time in a recording studio was when she was 6 years old. "I WHO HAVE NOTHING". if you watch the video you will notice she gets a bit lost in the middle of the song, and the producer tells her at the end she did good for her first time singing the song. age 7/8, NORWAYS GOT TALENT, age 8 THE VIEW, "FLY ME TO THE MOON". age 9 "I PUT A SPELL ON YOU". notice in this video she makes notes on the sheet music and the music director looks at it and kind of smiles/laughs. she arranged the music for this song. age 10 "FEELING GOOD", also "I'M STILL HOLDING OUT FOR YOU". this song was a demo for another singer. the writers wanted her to sing the demo and her parents agreed to let her do it as long as the recording was not released for the public. it was secretly released. the subject matter was a bit mature, suicide. age 11 " DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER". age 12 "SHIELD" (co written by Angelina). age 13 "I HAVE NOTHING", a tribute to Whitney Houston, she is wearing a white shirt with headphones on. also age 13 "BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY" on AG T, and also "YELLOW BRICK ROAD". age 14 "MILLION MILES" (live in studio) black and white video, Angelina wrote this song about the death of her grandfather. grab a hanky. also 14 "7th HEAVEN". age 15 "HEAL THE WORLD", "BILLIE JEAN", "EASY ON ME" live in studio, black and white video, (Adele cover). there is a video called "Angelina Jordan and Adele EASY ON ME mashup. age 16 "MY FUNNY VALENTINE", "SUSPICIOUS MINDS". You said that you probably are listening to Angelina in the wrong order. No, not at all. There is no wrong order. There is no wrong genre, title, or age for Angelina from age 7 to now at 17. It’s a cliche to say that you have no idea how good she is, but that exactly true. Easily, easily the best singer I’ve heard in my 70+ years. She is a musician, arranger, and has a voice for the ages. One quibble with your comments: you said she is a singer who comes around once in a generation. It’s absolutely once in a lifetime. It was not just the arrangement, but also the suit she made herself using a print from the art of het grandmother. 2. You might have noticed she performed barefoot. The reason is that when she was 6 she travelled through the Middle-East. She met a poor girl in the streets with bare and scarred feet. Angelina gave her boots to the girl. Ever since she performs barefoot both in remembrance of that girl and to raise awareness for the plight of poor kids. She has helped in many charities to raise money for underprivileged people. Angelina Jordan arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (160+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 7/8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice! And who (at 13yo) steps before the American audience (including Simon) and starts one of the most iconic songs in music a cappella? Who!? If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. Nina, I just came back to watch your video again and what a pleasure it was to do so. Listening to you describe what was going on and telling us in your own words how unique Angelina is, was a lot of fun. You spoke about how after listening to her, someone would want to hear everything else she has sung. Yes, her attraction is sudden. NIna, what I would like to add to that is most of us have heard this video hundreds and hundreds of times and, you know what, we still get emotional every time we listen to her sing. And, part of the joy we get is to watch rectors such as yourself go into this cold and experience something so special, even though you knew going in "this must be great", it still doesn't set you up for what you were about to listen to. Yes, you will find out the versatility in her voice is ever so present and when you are about ready to hear another video you will have no idea what to expect.

She has a Musical "palette" of vocal techniques unequalled by any current singer and superior to most singers of the past, and at almost 17 years old she has room to improve beyond even the greats! Listen to her covers of Rihanna Or Adele and you realize she is the best interpreter of modern songs you've ever heard. She was about a year and a half when she started singing. Her first studio recording was “I, who have nothing” at 6 years old. At 7 she auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent and won when she was 8. She performs barefoot and tells us why in a book she wrote, “Between Two Hearts.” She’s the youngest published author in Norway. She just turned 17 yesterday. IMO - she is the best vocalist in the world. She is a real gift to all.

Nina, Angelina from a very young age, was exposed to jazz and it's so obvious in her vocals. Her raspy tone ,wonderful vibrato and aspirate onsets really give her vocals an interesting timbre for sure ! I truly believe great artists have the unique ability to be a storyteller and Angelina definitely has that quality in all songs ! I would suggest " My Funny Valentine " and "Suspicious Minds " both recorded in an antique shop last year if you want to hear her more recent stuff ! Her studio rendition of "I Have Nothing " s tribute to one of her favorite artists Whitney is an absolutely fantastic performance ! Of the 4 NGT performances, only NGT 1 and the final, NGT 4, have pre- and post-performance content. These two also have English subtitles or closed captions. I recommend playing all of NGT 1, where she sang Billie Holiday's arrangement of "Gloomy Sunday." There are few opportunities to hear her talk about herself, so this is well worth seeing. Wonderful reaction. I'm very excited to hear you will be doing more Angelina... I'm signed up and ready to go. :) She has so many incredible songs it's hard to choose... Her First live performance at age 7 on NGT is quite incredible, but so are her other NGT performances at Age 8... If I were to recommend one I might suggest the live out door concert at age 8 shortly after winning NGT where she sang, "What a difference a Day Makes"... But that's just one suggestion... it's literally crazy how good she is at all ages. BY age 10, all signs in her voice that hint at her being a child disappear... She did 2 amazing performances of "Feeling Good" with completely different Tempo's and musical arrangements, one indoor, and one outside. Both equally amazing, and what a Climax! I literally have about 50 of her songs in my top 3.. Sounds silly right? But it's actually true, and it just depends on how your feeling, the time of year, and what tickles your fancy any particular day.

This performance, as remarkable as it is, is just the tip of a very deep and beautiful rabbit hole.. Angelina is the most spellbinding artist to emerge this century, in my opinion, and her voice, her skillset, and her personality are one-of-a-kind. Everything you said was spot on. This performance made me so intrigued and amazed. I just had to watch more of her. 4 years later and I am another addicted Angelina fan who has loved the journey into her unbelievable talent and impatient for more original music by her. She is an incredible singer and a fantastic human being.

AGT First, and foremost; Angelina was not on that show to win. This was quite simply to promote and expose the US public to this prodigy that comes along maybe once in a generation. To win, AJ’s family would have had to sign a contract with Simon, and he would have been in control of her future. Her family would not allow that to happen. It was not question of money offered because AJ was already worth 2 to 3 million at the age of 13, and her family are very wealthy. I am sure America’s Got Talent was paid well by her production company Stargate, the hitmaking duo (Beyonce, Rihanna, Sam Smith). David Foster tried to sign her in the past after she won Norway's Got Talent, but the family did not like the contract. She is like nothing we have ever experienced.

I used to think a soul singer was someone whose singing touched my soul. After learning of Angelina Jordan and listening to nearly 200 songs by her, I have a whole new definition of soul. I believe Angelina embodies each song she sings and sings from her soul to my soul. Angelina's beautiful tone hugs my soul and makes me feel like I am wrapped in a warm blanket. So many comments already your going to be reading for a while. Angelina is special in so many ways. You’ve understood already there is such a wide range of her vocal abilities. She sings many different styles of music. She has a very distinct voice while at the same time it seems as though she has a 1000 voices. She has never been nervous on stage or in the studio. She sings from her heart to ours and for many to our souls. As she has stated during interviews singing is like breathing and that when she closes her eyes while singing she is transported to another amazing world and takes everyone with her. She performs for the world out of Love with her main goal to spread peace and happiness. Not for the fame or money. She is an extremely kind and generous. She donated her winnings from Norway’s got talent to charity. If it’s possible she loves her fans more than we love her. Her Grandma Mery is without question her #1 fan. She is the most Humble person, I have had the pleasure to meet. As she just turned 17 yesterday, we’ve just scratched the surface of her abilities even after 10 years of performances and nearly 200 different songs to listen to, I believe we really have no way to comprehend what’s coming our way in the future. She does the arrangements of all her covers herself!! And I don’t know if you noticed she was barefoot. There’s an interesting story about that, she was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grand mother when she met the girl who was the same age as her selling goods in the street to support her family they became friends and when Angelina asked her what her dreams were she said she wanted to be a doctor but because of state she was in it was unlikely she could. Also Angelina noticed the girl was barefoot and her feet were scarred from cuts so Angelina gave her her shoes!! This had such an effect on Angelina she vowed to always perform barefoot until all people had all they needed and to this end she started a charitable foundation to work to that end. And that is why she always performed barefoot.

Angelina is a prodigy Norwegian born she started singing at the age of 18 months. She has a heart of gold she has worked diligently and produced millions to help with children's needs and environmental things worldwide all before the age of 16, she gave her shoes to a poor child when she was 5 and was the youngest author in Norway with the story about why she performs without shoes. She has produced over 160 covers of all genres and made them all hers while maintaining recognition and loyalty to the original. Angelina sings in 5 languages, plays the flute, guitar, piano, and violin, writes her own music and paints follow her and you will have a video journey from the age of 7 to now at the age of 16 every performance is a musical masterpiece regardless of age and you will meet her followers (called angels) who number in the thousands and are some of the nicest people on the net. Angelina is a gift from the universe and we are fortunate to experience her becoming a superstar.
