Very nice and insightful reaction. The other video of the song on Angelina’s channel has a different feel. In it she is walking the streets of London. It’s the same vocal track as this one but with different, more contemporary instrumentation. The more stripped down instrumentation (just piano and strings) allows one to hear the details in her voice more clearly. FYI, one of Angelina’s songs will appear in the upcoming Netflix movie A Family Affair starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Kathy Bates. It premieres June 28. In a post about it on Angelina’s IG, Love Don’t Let Me Go is playing in background so that may be the song. It would be interesting to know how this came about. It could be just a snippet of the song that plays in the distance in the movie but it’s still exciting.

You freeze... you listen endlessly to her wonderful and powerful voice with her incredible low register and admiring her fantastic musical sensitivity, it seems impossible, but every song, simple or complex, that she rediscovers becomes a great new song. She is simply unique and with an incredible melodic perception. This rendition (not a cover for me) with one of the song's writers (Toby Gad) playing the piano, is absolutely healing for your soul, while the soft background accompaniment of the piano and cello give it a wonderful silky backdrop, until that moment wonderful whispered final phrase "...but you're just a boy".💛🧡❤

Last night in LA Toby had a performance called Piano Diaries Live. The intent was to have performances with some of the artists that appeared on his album. He had hoped Angelina would be able to perform but wasn’t sure if she could . We never heard a confirmation if she was going to be able to make it or not. She has been in Europe the past few weeks. It’s a shame if she wasn’t able to go especially since it was a charity event. It would have been another great opportunity for her.

Tony seems to be able to build instrumentation around her voice that still keeps her voice very front and center like a single instrument. But hes broadening the sound scape with no loss of support to her voice. She really needs a composer to make use of all her tools she’s developed over her entire life. Wow, what a journey she is on, that we are all on with her.

Don’t miss Angelina’s new unreleased song Bad Valentine, written with Toby and sung live.

This is a wonderful song. And when you are being asked to sing alongside the orginal co-writer (Toby Gad), who is playing the piano here than you are doing something right (to say the least). I do like this version more than the second version, but that has to do with the different instrumentals and is just a matter of taste. You absolutely should have a look on James Tiel's RU-vid channel as well: lot's of informal music videos with Angelina on that channel. It is kind of a treasury there.
