Thank you for this reaction! Jongho is the singer hitting the high notes. He has been often called the best singer in the 4th generation of K-pop. I’d love to hear your analysis on one of his solo pieces. If you search for Ateez - Wildflower, it will bring up the video on their channel. The background looks like vines hanging over a wall with only a piano and Jongho sitting in front of a mic. There are also a lot of clips of him belting and nailing high notes out there since that is what he is known for, but I’d like to hear your analysis on a more sophisticated piece like this.

omg!! thank you so much for reacting to ateez!! I've been looking for vocal centered reactions on ateez for ages and there's nearly not enough! This was so enjoyable and informative too, even though there were terms I had never heard before this was just so nice to learn about. Brief Info about ateez: they're a kpop band of 8 members and have been in the game for five years now, the one who you said you thought had a mix voice (?) was jongho! he is the lead vocalist but you are right about the rappers being able to singers as well. The rapper with the gravel like sound is mingi, he sometimes does melodic and soft rapping but this was a pretty good example of his default tone,and the other one is their captain, leader, main rapper - hongjoong! He has done a number of covers for songs and I think you'll enjoy them ! I'll keep an eye out for more ateez reactions from you and remember to point out the members that catch your eye. suggestions: ateez's immortal songs performance of 'the black cat nero', kingdom performance of "wonderland symphony 9", and immortal songs performance of "highway in the gale" also, a little surprise might be waiting for you in their song called "DUNE" can't wait to see more ateez from you, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us

I would really recommend the cover performance of "Love Poem" on the show Kingdom. Three vocalists from three kpop groups (Ateez, Stray Kids, and BTOB) perform it and it is heavenly

They have so many interesting songs. You might try some of their solo covers next. My favorites are Jongho's (main vocal--camouflaged his head voice in the harmony) Wildflower or So You; San's (lead vocal-belted the low part of the harmony) Breathe; Yeosang's (deep vocalist) Hug Me; and Seonghwa's (vocalist with the cry to his voice also rapper but not in Turbulence) Empty karaoke. From a music production standpoint, Ateez producers tend to use the vocalists voices for texture as much as sound. So their recordings have lots of highly compressed vocal tracks woven together so you really hear the air hissing through those vocal chords right across your ear on those aspirate tones. It took me a long time to understand what I was hearing, but I've come to love them for it.

When their song Light came out, I realized their vocal potential and became a solid stan. Yunho, who you're leaning towards to, is my favorite voice in the group. Hey, it was such a pleasant surprise to stumble upon your video of ATEEZ and an even more pleasant surprise to listen to you dissecting their vocal abilities. ❤ I will straight away admit that your "bias" is my "bias" as well - I'm a huge fan of the first singer (left to right) - name: Yunho. If you are willing to check out more of their videos I assume these would have to preferably be live ones, so I'd suggest the "ATEEZ - "THANK U” Band LIVE Concert [it's Live] K-POP live music show" (just copy-paste the whole thing on the search tab). Also, I see you have reacted to Mamamoo a couple of years ago. If you enjoyed these ladies, I would recommend listening (even not as a reaction but on your own) to their live session on "Killing Voice". This was fantastic. Thank you for the detailed breakdown, it's very interesting. I love Ateez vocals, and they have such variety in their discography, you can pick and choose genres pretty easily. I think you might find Halazia vocally interesting, or Dune, but finding good live recordings where the backing track isn't strongly interfering is really difficult.

And immortal performances nilili mambo and black cat Nero are two amazing immortal performances and i also recommend “wonderlands symphony from the 9” live kingdom performance it’s Jonghos most famous note. And for covers try leave the door open. My favorite song from Ateez is either Deja vu or wake up

To be fair, I don't understand everything, be it because English isn't my mother tongue or because I am not familiar with some terms that come with different occupations, but I always enjoy when people who actually know their stuff react to these types of videos - be it vocal coaches like yourself, professional dancers, video makers, etc. and they share their opinions from the field. And as an ATEEZ stan, I'm that much more excited seeing reactions like this, so thank you for reacting to the boys again and here is hoping to many more reactions to them as I think they really are worth of the attention and analysis!

Mingi voice is not that deep when he talked 🤣 he’s voice is so sweet while he is not sing.

Wooyoung, who sang at 3:33, curious to see more of your view on his overall vocal. Asking because he doesn't get a lot of line in other songs (which he deserves more). And when he sings here, he is really pushing himself to get those notes out.
