When I say I ASCENDED watching it for the first time... At The Ballet is probably the most professionally superior performance they ever did, would not have believed it was on Glee if I didn't know. And SJP is not even a professional singer.

Vocally and visually stunning...they definitely made the most of the duets they were given. I do wish there were more too. Naya's belt at the end never fails to blow me away. Lea did an amazing job, but Naya's makes my heart soar. Amber was right when she said we were robbed of all the things that she could have gone on to do

This song captures the struggles around this mini-plot arc so well. Santana in New York with Rachel standing awkwardly like she doesn't belong. Both of them sing of wishing the other greatness and confidence and satisfaction. Santana watching Rachel's dreams come true, trying to find her own way, but while Rachel is inviting and dancing her part well, Santana still feels like she's swimming in a different direction from everyone else, not really able to follow along. They butt heads over self-doubt that they've weaponized at each other; Santana responding to her envy and fears by becoming petty and self-isolatong, Rachel resorting to her judgemental and arrogant childhood mindset to protect herself from the fact that adulthood is loneliness, loss, and rejection. The friend they only really bonded with in their grief maybe doesn't have the experience to handle the other turbulent emotions yet.

Rachel is in the revival of Funny Girl on Broadway and Santana auditions to be her understudy and Rachel is unhappy about it. But when they sing Brave it's near the beginning of the show and Rachel gets Santana as a model on the cover of New York Magazine. This is where Glee starts getting weird.

I only want to make a suggestion but just because right now I'm obsessed about this particular singer's vocal style and technique however her range is pretty insane and I'm pretty sure anyone who tries to do it is frying their vocal cords just like me and I would love to see you dissect it. Listen to ADO. Japanese singer. One of my favorites of her I recommend to dissect could be either USSEEWA, Backlight or TOT Musica. The first one is her single the other two were made for her to sing for the movie for ONE PIECE(And she blew my mind out of the park it was insane.) . Im not a fan of the anime but WHOO I felt like I was at a concert when I saw it in theater so much I watched it twice already. Just released in NA you might be able to see it if you like it.

Not to be rude, but there aren't many duets by the two of them because Lea was jealous of how popular Naya was getting by playing Santana. It's acknowledged "gossip" that from the second half of season 3 onwards, Lea was constantly complaining to Ryan Murphy about Naya, which caused her to have less screen time from season 4 on. It's too bad because apparently they were pretty friendly the first two seasons.

Sorry you just do not know. For one they didn't even have a duet until the middle of the 3rd season and it is also known fact from Naya's mouth (not gossip) that Lea even campaigned for Naya to be in NYC is season 4. And Naya had as much if not more in season 4 and 5 then the first 2 seasons. But all the OGs had less screen time from season 4 on even Rachel. And yeah you meant to be rude you don't need to preface things otherwise.

A decade ago, can be a lifetime with life experiences. Naya addressed their fued in many interviews and also said that they had made amends. She never said they were friends again but she did finally say that there was no longer any "beef" . The cast werent obviously as young as they had to act but there was a lot of growing up to do for a lot of them.
