Dan, I love everything you do and the female versions are my favorite. Well, then there’s Toto and the Hallelujah Chorus. And don’t let me forget I’m Sexy and I Know It! Ken, you should listen to all of those. Dan’s range of vocal sounds is unbelievable. And realizing he mixes and masters all his own work… what can I say? ❤
For a normal person, this would be a masterclass in "How to destroy your voice" in one song. But not for Dan Vasc. For him, it's more like a day at the beach. He's awesome! 💖
Dan's extensive training allows him to do all these amazing vocal feats without hurting his vocal chords. He is an incredible vocal savage beast and that's why we love him.
Oh Ken, where do I begin... It was you reviewing Dan that drew me into his singing! I watched/listened to every one of his songs, since he started out 8/9 years ago. Can't get enough, whether he sings Metal, Rock, Ballads or Folk... Such a charismatic personality, such a happy dude. He always ends with "its all about POWER!" and finishes with "Have an epic day" with his own brand of a salute

Nice reaction to this one from Dan! He's had vocal training, and he takes excellent care of his voice. Now that that's out of the way, please🙏 do more reactions to any of his videos! He's got 200+ absolutely amazing videos on his channel, and this Friday, he's dropping a new one. From the teasers he's put out on his social media pages, it's going to be an absolutely amazing banger! I've been a fan of his music since 9/15/20, and I've never heard anyone else who can sing absolutely anything like he can! Even when he's doing a gaming stream, he sounds absolutely amazing when he just randomly starts singing! React to Fairy Tale, Beyond Belief, Nessun Dorme, or any of his videos! Even go back to his very first one - the DragonForce audition - and then do the same one ten years later (The Last Journey Home) to see how far he's come. The man can sing absolutely anything!
Thank you for such an enthusiastic reaction to this. I know how popular Dan’s Amazing Grace is currently, but for me, this displays his incredible skill and control to a much greater extent. This, and his covers of Gethsemane and Nessun Dorma(!) are, I believe, his greatest achievements thus far.
Dan did an interview as to how he preserved his vocal cords as a metal artist. He said he warms up starting the day before and then after the performance shuts up.

Love, love, love me some Dan Vasc! Perhaps some of the differences you notice in his voice here come from the fact that this cover was done almost two years before his cover of I'll Make a Man Out of You. Perhaps he continued his vocal training during those two years, continuing to perfect his technique. His voice just gets better and better!
This was intense! When he does a female original, I'm never able to imagine the female version, EVER! He doesn't like creepy nor do I as I'm much older, BUT when he sings like this, he's literally begging for @least 1 woman he's noticed in song to bring him to life! I dare say there are few women out there who are able to ignore that plea... Even happily married 46 yrs women. It's a call from the soul &dang near impossible not to IMAGINE being that ONE! He's beyond phenomenal & he touches something new inside of his listeners, not just women, in EVERY VIDEO I'VE SEEN&his style changes so dramatically in so so so many of his works! His facial expressions&physical movement throughout his music speak as well as his words! I've still not caught the eye twitch in "I'll Make a Man Out of You"&it's frustrating, but may let me agree to hassle of new glasses,my husband's been wanting me to get!!Excellent review.......I love to watch 1st time reviews from women&men as he has an amazing affect on every one I've seen,which is awesome ❣️
Interesting description, since if you check through all of the videos Dan has on his channel, you can see how he chooses most of them very carefully TO present just such a contrast. I wish that he would actually record "Angels from the Realms of Glory," to go along with his other two Christmas angel songs! That would be wonderful! 😀

Excellent reaction. This is one of my favorite Dan Vasc songs. He really presents what Amy Lee was feeling, when she wrote the song (minus the "male rapper" lines in the first recording, which she later left out). Personally, I like that Dan left them in, in his own inimitable style, because they really bring out the interior battle. Having had my own experiences with those times, though long ago, now,I can highly empathize with what Dan portrays in this presentation. I also really appreciated your explanations of the effects that he pulled off so strongly. Well done! 😀

I believe that Dan becomes the part. That is the fountain of his genius. Using his vocal cords is an extension and expression of his persona. Personally, Dan transports me into heights and depths that no performer could after the original Phantom. I love your reviews from the point of view of a professional coach.
Dan Vasc is remarkable. I found him about a year ago and can't get enough. You should check out another side of him... perhaps Time to Say Goodbye or Sound of silence... Perfection!
There's a Japanese rock band called ONE OK ROCK and like every other vocalist that's reacted to them, you'll think that their front man Taka is incredible. I'd love to see you react to their song "We Are" live from the Ambitions Japan dome tour. He's covered 2 of Adele's songs and many people liked his versions.
I used to watch your videos often, and I always loved your personality and the way you responded authentically. But I got tired of seeing the many reactions to the same groups, so I left the channel. I've seen you react to Dan Vasc before, I love his voice again and I liked the video. I asked for a lot of reactions to the band "Leprous" and I still hope every time I see a video released on the channel. Please go and see them, the singer's voice is worth it, he is so good it gives you chills. Any song, Nighttime disguise, Alleviate, Castaway Angels, Below...
But he’s been trained to use all those highs and lows, how to place his tongue, control his diaphragm, turn the nasal on and off. He definately can control his vocal cords. Ooooh and don’t forget the posture. He’s been trained by the best❤❤
This is gonna sound impressively dumb, given that "Vocal Coach" is in the title of basically all of your videos, but I regularly forget that you're an actual singer, and not just knowledgeable about the theory of it, then you hit a really difficult note spot on to demonstrate, and I'm reminded again that yeah, you can sing lol. I'm with you Ken, on this comment about his vocals... I know, you know, that he's doing well and survived all those vocal lines.... But seriously, as a non-vocalist and just a music connoisseur/fan for almost 35 years years (I also play some music...) w/e, I also had concerns about his vocal chords, similar to Will Ramos or Tatiana (that Tatiana). Let's wait a few years, I won't comment today. For now, they are 👍👍👍
If you want to check another metal cover artist out ( that loves Gary Moore and ABBA) .. check out Tommy Johansson in his youtube channel. He has done amazing covers of Green Day and Taylor swift but also tributes to Gary Moore, Queen, stealhart, Skidrow. he is one of two lead guitarists in Sabaton (power metal) and Singer and guitarist in Majestica (also power metal) .. he is currently bringing the 80th back in metal with St Elmo’s Fire and Toto’s Africa. His Phantom of the opera is really worth a listen. He started his band at 15 and is a multi instrumentalist also producing his songs and editing his videos himself .. well his just worth a listen 😉
Oh forgot .. he also did the music for Floor Jansens (Nightwish) covers of Oblivion and Frozen 2 ( they probably know each other through Floors husband Hannes, who are the drummer in Sabaton ☀️
I have three suggestions of bands/musicians you should look into. Two are Thai, but one of the two sometimes does English versions of his own songs. First, Mew Suppasit. Most of his work is in Thai, but he wrote "Summer Fireworks" in English. (Written in memory of a fan that is no longer with us.) Second, Jeff Satur. I, personally, have really been enjoying his song "Dum Dum" lately. The video for the English version feels like more of a behind the scenes of the Thai version, but the Thai version does have English subtitles. Finally, Skillet. Literally anything by Skillet is amazing and something I frequently sing along with. Personal favorites are "Monster", "Hero", "Lions", and "Anchor".

Great channel, however, you need to react to The Reticent. They are a great VERY under appreciated band. Their song “The Decision” is an amazing, yet heart breaking song. You won’t regret it.

Ken have you heard of Chinese singer Zhou Shen? Check him out, and especially his version of 'Upwards to the Moon' with Sa Dingding (female singer). At first you won't believe that Zhou Shen is a male singer, nor will you believe that his voice comes out of his physical appearance. Please have a listen to him. Don't let the language difference put you off, it's the voice that's most important. 👌
