I think Daniel is a musical genius, the way he arranges and rearranges every piece to suit his voice and the style he wants to create for individual performances. I know some people are just into the stunning looks of this young man, while others are here purely for his music. I am here for all of him,,, the looks, the music, the artistry. Everything he does is different from piece to piece, yet everything is absolutely Dan Vasc. There are musicians that come along once in a lifetime and I believe Daniel Vasconcelos is such. He has expanded my musical education to include genres I’ve never previously listened to or enjoyed, however now, I find myself listening to his version of these songs over the original…who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Dan has certainly taught me a whole new appreciation of and for different genres. He is a Master, whether he knows it or not. He also deserves so much more recognition than he has received thus far, but he doesn’t chase the “gongs” he just wants to make “music that gives you POWER!!!” and I love him for that. Long may he continue… Have yourself an EPIC day!!! 🥰 🙃🐨🇦🇺

We know Dan's power and skill as a singer, but look at his PERFORMANCE here. This is by far the best performance of this song I've ever heard. This beautiful, wonderful man treated this song and its legacy with such care and RESPECT, and delivered the best performance ever. Dan should be on Broadway.

This is easily my favorite non-metal cover of Dan. I performed this on my own wedding few weeks back (with German lyrics 😉 as I'm German ) for my wife as one of two songs with Dan's backing track as karaoke version. Fan nailed this this song deserves to be sung like this there is a time and a place for everything he did this right

SUPERB ARTISTRY!!! Dan sings almost every word with a new color, and paints the Phantom into a whole new much darker more interesting story. He definitely added layers to the character that I've never seen or heard before. I believe he could rewrite the entire musical and make it into an epic rock opera.

Dan absolutely nails this. Honestly, the Phantom is a stalker. His love is more that he wants to possess her. I think Dan communicated this flawlessly. I also got chills when he went softly. That is so difficult to do and shows his vast and diverse abilities. Pure perfection in my estimation.

Every time I listen to Dan’s version of this, I hear another nuance. I appreciate how you seemed to almost get lost in the performance. I have a very eclectic taste in music, so I like everything Dan does, some more than others. It’s fun to hear his metal take on songs, but hearing his voice in a song of such beauty is very special!

I like his metal covers - but I also like how he stays true to the originals in some of the songs - he seems to know exactly how each song should be sung and performs it flawlessly

I definitely love the whole package, that he does so many genres and nails it every time. This is one of my favorites of Dan's more mellow songs. What he does in this song is just beautiful to watch and hear. I am a music lover of many styles of music, so I enjoy a lot of Dan's work. Great reaction. Dan does such an awesome job of displaying the duality of the Phantom's personality. I'm in the camp that thinks Dan can sing just about anything. Love 'almost' everything I've seen him do. Even on those songs I don't particularly enjoy, I can still appreciate his talent and skill.

Great reactions! Per your question, having been residing in the best rabbit hole of the century, i can confidently declare that I know Dan sings every genre he commits to. He even has an acoustics folder. Not every song has been metal-fied, let me tell ya. But when he does take a song out of its sleepy rut, he powers it up right . Some of his non- metal songs include, but not limited to: Beauty & the Beast (2 duets so far) I See Fire Loch Lomand Phantom of the Opera (several) More Than Words Nessum Dorma (which you've heard) Duets with beautiful singers like Rehn, Sarah, Alina,etc.. I'll let others with better memories than myself leave you some lists to consider. (That suit your style preferences) I love how you verbally illustrated his edge surrounded by velvet voice.

Watching you react was the best! The looks of anticipation and appreciation and surprise. This has been my absolute favourite piece from Phantom since I saw it in Melbourne (Aust) way back in 1992 and i could listen to it on repeat for hours!

Love, love, love. I have trouble pulling my eyes off Dan, but it was such a pleasure watching you watching him. And breathing along with him too and anticipating each phrase. What a treat. I love these theatrical scenes of Dan's - Gethsemane is another one, which I know you've reacted to. It's good to remember that Dan not only sings, but directs his own videos, figures out what he's going to wear and what he's going to do with his hair, figures out the placement of the cameras and lights, then records and edits it all on his own. He used to do all the mixing and mastering by himself too, but lately he can afford to send some of that out. As to your question, I'm a long-time classical music/opera fan, so I love the classic side of Dan. But I've discovered that it's fundamentally his voice and his artistry that I love, so now I welcome all of it. He just dropped another cover of Beauty and the Beast (on Minniva's channel), so I'm glad he's still doing some non-metal stuff. The guy can just sing - I was never a Journey fan, but I find myself returning over and over to his cover of Faithfully, of all things. Just gorgeous singing. And a new song coming soon! A "Shatneresque Flourish" was so classic and fitting a description for that part. Lol. Dan's a big Phantom of the Opera fan, especially the movie with Gerard Butler. Loved your reaction. This is one of my favorites by Dan. He nails this performance, but he usually does master whatever he attempts.

His seemingly endless variety is what I like the most about Dan. Thus far there is no genre of music that he has not been able to utterly conquer. A friend of mine showed me a Mongolian band called HU, and the song I guess if you want to call it a song that they did was well in Mongolian and it was some sort of a battle chant. It was kind of cool. I copied the link and put it in the comments of one of Dan's more recent performances and told him that I would love to see his version of this battle chant. It was really really cool. So from Opera to Broadway to musical theater to straight up musicals out of movies to heavy metal to pop rock and hopefully to Mongolian battle chants - I believe there is absolutely nothing that Dan cannot do absolutely spectacularly.

This wasn't one of Dan's Metal covers. This was just an original cover with no metal influences. Regardless, it's always flawless and perfectly executed. Dan is the musical equivalent of a Swiss army knife. If it can be sung, Dan can sing it.
