I am 53 years old sound engineer, very much into music and have listened to thousands of artists since a very long time. Never came across anyone close to this guy. Never. Incredible skills, unbelievable talent.

This song was originally sung by Russian singer Vitas who is known for his high notes. We will never hear Dimash sing this again because Vitas blocked Dimash from singing it after this performance. (Dimash went higher.)

Yes, Dimash is for real! His confirmed range is C2-D8. Yes, D8! He's 25 now and has been classically trained since he was 5. There is so much that you need to watch now!! One of his newest is "love is like a dream". You get a real good sense of his range from lows to high on that one. Autumn strong is another great one!

My theory is that Dimash was born with an amount of talent however he works hard as if he were born with none...that's what his teachers always say about Dimash...he is a hard worker and a perfectionist add to the equation that he has an AP absolute pitch and huge talent. That makes him look like an alien.

People will push for favorites but I personally think following the Singer before moving to newer stuff is experiencing the evolution of Dimash.

"we're going off planet today" made me smile. the guy they show right after his performance ends is his dad, and dimash didn't know he was there watching.

Hey, Sam--as Marina Dewill commented below, you'll see why the Kazakh Opera House all but pleaded with him to join their opera company, when he was still studying at their national musical institute, if you'll use her link to his Arnau concert (Dimash 48's fancam video) and the song "Ogni Pietra" (written especially for him by iconic Russian composer, Igor Krutoy, with whom he's been collaborating for almost a year, now). Krutoy and Dimash arranged the song so that it challenges Dimash to cover 5 octaves of his 6 octave range, but he performs the whole cantata in the "bel canto" style (deep baritone on up to soprano [E6, I think])! He is at the height of his vocal powers in this impossible-for-a-"human", epic anthem! This will leave you reaching for a bottle of something stronger than tea or coffee, laddie!

This was from his performance on Singer 2017 in China. If you could continue to react to his performances on this show before going to anything he does now, you will see how he has improved and is so much better now. This is a song composed and originally sung by Vitas, a Russian singer who also has a wide vocal range like Dimash. In this performance, Dimash went beyond Vitas. This was 2 years ago. Since then, Dimash has further developed, his bass/baritone has gotten deeper and darker and, with his partnership with the multi-awarded Russian composer, Igor Krutoy, has polished his performances and made them more sophisticated. You have a long way to go.

This is a Russian song about a man who has built his house, but is still alone..and the wind is blowing at his windows and door..The high notes.....This is a 2 1/2 year old video...Dimash was 22 at this time...He is now 25...believe me you haven't seen or heard a drop in the bucket yet...Dimash is constantly in demand ..Lots of performances and concerts...he sings most of the songs at his concerts that he performed on the Singer Show....Just go to his RU-vid channel and take your pick.....

Good as Opera 2 is, it pales in comparison to Ogni Pietra. He just won't stop growing! Honestly, I admire your self discipline. When I discovered him I could barely sleep for hunting down youtube videos with him in it.

The last man shown is his father who showed up without Dimash knowing he was going to be there, his father and mother both sing and his grandmother who watched him while he was a baby and growing up was also an opera singing and he has taken music from age 3 up to the present. His father is in the music business and I believe teaching the stage presence and appeal of performance, whatever that technical part is of stage presence. You can see Dimash presence himself well during the songs.

You should listen to Dimash's Love is like a dream and Hello which both songs he showcased his incredible belting skill and vocal. He is out of this world.
