I absolutely adore this song. Dimash is phenomenal. Recording this on a phone and so close to one of the speakers didn’t help with the sound distribution. This performance was at the recent Hong Kong concert. And Dimash always has backup singers at his concerts, regardless of which one it is. And it was a live band, not a back track.

I attended this concert. Yes, there were backing vocalists. But you need to keep in mind that, unlike other concerts of this world tour, this concert was organized by Chinese producers, and at their request, the concert was accompanied (backup singers, musicians, dancers) not by members of Dimash’s team, but by people who were provided by the Chinese team. It is quite obvious that Dimash has not worked with these people before, and some inconsistency in actions is possible, since they had little time to jointly hone their performances, especially new songs in Dimash’s repertoire.

This is a fan camera take and she/he is positioned on a side of the stage and the sound comes from the side speakers that probably has the sound of the chorus. Recording on a phone from the center of the stage will pick the sound of all the speakers. You should react to the duet of Dimash and Plácido Domingo, In the depths of the Holly Temple, from Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers. It’s in his RU-vid Channel. Thank you for your reaction. ❤️☮️

Dimash has been exploring his more bluesy and jazz sides lately. His most recent performance of Dudari on Chinese TV was a very jazzy surprise following a traditional opening. I'm not sure it was sung live, but still would love to see your reaction to it. p.s. another reactor went to the concert and blogged it...he said on the fan cams it sounds like DQs voice was under amplified or drowned out by the band and the back up singers, but that it did NOT sound that way there in the hall, he was very fully amplified and audible.

Thanks for this! I actually prefer the live fan cams and the live concerts he releases on his channel. It seems like any other performances get over produced in post by the tv shows. It still sounds amazing because it's still him but I like the raw vocals better. Please check out his duet with Placido Domingo!

You are absolutely right the backing singers were too loud at some point. At his concert here in Hong Kong, as already mentioned, there were backing singers from China and not the ones he usually has. IMHO their voices didn’t work well with Dimash‘s voice. They didn’t blend with each other. I‘m eagerly waiting to hear this song in a better sound quality with his own backing singers because the song is 🔥 and will sound even better with them.

❗Like a finely tuned machine/ beloved "family members" all, the same 3 backup singers have been with him for years, (recordings of them used when circumstances necessitate) on tour, in individual performance, recording in studio, in previews, videos and promotions, one left comparatively recently with everyone's blessings to perform singularly and replaced with another long term collaberator. He's known as a " tough negotiator, knows exactly what he wants, never compromises, always prepared, highly disciplined, expects the same, doesn't waste time, doesn't "suffer fools" firm, kind, fair and always a gentleman". The references made by employees, co workers, collaborators and friends.

The sound on this fancam is not great, seem they sat right in front of a speaker. We are anxiously awaiting the official release of this song. 😅

Love your videos :) I think the loud track vocals are meant to give him a bit of rest where he doesn`t have to go full power, it`s a long song in a 3 hour concert full of complicated stuff, it`s in english, which stresses him out a bit, especially when he intends to do it live (his memory of the pronunciation in english goes a bit in and out). The single low voice doubling his on "making a name ain`t easy these days", in the middle of the song, is his own voice in a lower octave, on a track, for effect. Regarding backing vocalists, he usually has his own team with him everywhere, however I think for this particular concert he didn`t, I think the backing was on carefully recorded track, which is going to be part of the music video. He filmed the music video while in the US, and I think the backing vocals (choir) might have been recorded there also. The whole concert is available, but the two song premieres are the standouts - 'The Sory of One Sky' and 'El Amor En Ti'. The whole concert is available in 3 parts on Dimash's channel, and One Sky is also on a fancam, which I prefer as it focuses on Dimash the whole time, whereas the official video dances around a bit much. The sound is better on the official one though. Part three ofthe concert has "Stranger" (17.28-23.10), "The Story of One Sky" (29.40-35.50), and "El Amor En Ti" (35.50-42.10). This is a fancam, you can't expect hearing him precisely. Plus, i can tell whose video this is, and they were up front and near the speakers, so some of the sound got distorted. We Dears are waiting for the official MV. We know it's "soon" 😂.

HE has 3 backing singers 2 ladies amd a man,they are all top vocal singers on their right,they are like family,they go everywhere with him,has his own full band ,top,producers is married to one of the girl singer,she is a great singer!

It's not a track, it's his live band and live back up singers at a solo concert in China recently. And the volume is off because when you film with phone camera, the loud parts overwhelm the phone mic and the vocal volume sounds reduced. The actual MV is coming out shortly.
