There are bloopers of me trying to say their names at the end of this video if you're after a laugh.

They did it again, their vocals and stage presence is so so good. Upon watching this clip a bunch I feel that wheein concentrating a little more before her belts might be simply because of what we heard in her throat earlier in the song. It isn't massive and only noticeable if you're listening for it. Overall it was a flawless performance. p.s you can bet your little radish hearts that I caught the Hwasa Maria premier last night and have already listened to the full album. Maria and LMM were my favourites w/ nobody else really impressing me with Hwasa's pronunciation.

Good thing you brought this up! Ahhhh~ I remember Moomoos protesting to not have them on that show because it's like a suicide mission. Imagine going for a performance show after 3 consecutive concerts (4hrs each straight each concert). But these queens still slayed. I really enjoy your reaction Julia. You hear things we don't and I'm learning a lot. I wonder what you think of the Decalcomanie performance in Queendom. See you there!

All of the songs (or at least most) they performed on Immortal Songs actually didn’t have a rap originally as they were mostly from an era in korean music where rap wasn’t prevalent. So they’re all written by Moonbyul (girl in white suit lol) herself.

Blue suit, Wheein, has grown more confident with her vocals but earlier she did mention her worry and discomfort for high notes. Yellow suit, Solar, is the oldest and I as well love how full and clear her voice is. Really hope to see you react to more of their their Immortal Songs 2 performances. I personally really like Passion Flower! Also their predebut song is so good, it’s called “Dont be Happy”

First off: I really enjoy your reactions! The insight you give is great and makes me appreciate them even more. You're right about Solar and Wheein! Solar is known more for her power vocals, and Wheein is widely considered to have the best technique/control out of the members. "Meeting" is another Immortal Songs appearance (the most recent) and is a ballad. It's pretty tame (comparatively), but I loved listening to the harmonies (especially Moonbyul's). Hope you'll get a chance to check it out. :)

Also, you're not wrong about Solar(yellow-suit), she has the most training out of four and the oldest but her face is jussst, it's so baby... a lot of people had mistaken her as the youngest. If m not wrong, Solar had the least training out of them cause she became a trainee at 21/22. Hardly 3~4 years of professional training until debut. Before that she was preparing to be a flight attendant. And yes Wheein has the best technique whereas Solar has the powerful belts.

Solar had the least training actually. She only started taking singing seriously at the age of 21 which is quite late compared to the members. She just worked really hard, needless to say the other members worked hard too.

You make a good point about how moonbyul is able to make her raps fit within the song well. Since she writes her own verses and also occasionally writes for others, shes got a lot of experience with writing rap segments into songs.

Your pronunciation was pretty good! I'm impressed. Mamamoo is probably my favorite kpop group that focuses a lot on vocals. Their songs are also super varied. They throw in a lot of jazz-y and latin sounds and rhythms.

The yellow suite is the oldest (29 years old) and the leader and her name is Solar, White suite the rapper is Moonbyul (27 years old), the light blue suit is Whee In (25 years old) and the red suite is Hwasa (25 years old)

thank you for another mamamoo reaction! And don’t feel bad your pronunciation is fine. Most English speakers will just pronounce it like “we-in” which is fine & probably easier to say but they way you said it is technically closer to the way it’s said in korean with the “h” sound in front. Your moonbyul pronunciation is fine too it’s probably just awkward for you to say since it’s unnatural to you but don’t worry you can have more confidence next time and you’ll be fine :)

I started getting into female kpop just over a year ago but only got around to Mamamoo two weeks ago. I've no idea why I left it so long but it seems I saved the best till last. I'm glad you spoke about their stage presence as that is one of the things that has struck me the most about their live performances, essentially on Immortal Songs. might as well react to hwasa new song maria :)) but yea mamamoo is a top tier performing kpop group. i dont know any girl kpop group has reach their level of stage presence. their audience engagement, vocal quality, harmonization, transition within songs, ads lib, etc are all excellent. been a fan of them for over 5 years and i never been disappoint at their live performance once.
