Hello beautiful Coach Nina. What I love of Morisette and Filipino and western singers, is that, they have lots of songs with such beautiful melodies on its natural human sound/tones with minimum sound effects. While singers, like, mostly Indians and some Koreans also have beautiful melodies and high notes but I don't understand the sounds/tones of their voices. In my hearing, it's having full of sound effects that it doesn't sounds human voice at all. Like machine voice! Thank you Coach Nina. ♥️👍🙏

Nina -- Unrequited love is part of Filipino identity (blame it on colonial catholicism). The word "Naman" is one of those difficult Filipino words to translate into English. "Mahal kita" is "I love you" but "Mahal 'naman' kita" is a kind of pleading with no expectations returning to the pleader. A blunt translation would be: "I love you, but don't worry about it."

She looks like she is wearing the same outfit as when she recorded Rise Up on the Wish Bus. If it's from the same day I suspect the breathiness could be because she had a cold that day and needed more air.

"nman" can mean either "but" or "also". for this song its the first case. the context is something like "but i love you - why do you love someone else?" i like the modern interpretation of the song with the new adlibs and runs. i would have preferred though that Mori left the melody of that line as it is. there's no other melody/adlib that can replace the original
