If you want to hear the bassist (Gorran) sing, I suggest giving 'Wade in the water' a go (still by the big push). That song's an automatic serotonin fill for me

Praise You, Dignity, and Precious by The Big Push are all excellent and lighter. Praise You is a fatboy slim EDM cover in a Beatles style. The other two are original songs (not rap, all singing). Their choral song Swan Song is almost a madrigal! And Ren plays a melodica. 😂

Love Ren anyway he decides to present himself. His solo stuff is amazing; his work with The Big Push - outstanding, and his various duets (Chinchilla, Sam, Eden - and more) also all great. I hope you consider reacting to him from time to time.. I’ll definitely be watching when you do!!

The Big Push is always immaculate vibes. Whatever Ren performs he does it with his whole soul, that's why i suggest the "Wade in the water/Nina Simone/Troubled so hard" mashup like the others.

The bass player is Gorran Kendall, the other guitarist is Romain Axisa and the drummer (not in this video) is Glenn Chambers.

Watching Ren become music is amazing but he really makes it look so easy when it can't happen without years of practice. That's why theses guys are so good. Individually they could all be the lead but they work together for the love of the music. I really hope they at least do a reunion concert... finding them after they've already broken up seems tragic.

Also here’s some info 🖤 THE BIG PUSH 🥁🎸🎤🎵 REN (Welsh) - vocals, acoustic, electric, bass mostly Romain Axisa (French) - vocals, acoustic, electric, bass mostly Gorran Kendall (English) - vocals, acoustic, electtic, bass mostly Glenn Chambers (Irish) - drums mostly The Big Push formed in 2017. Initially being Ren, Romain and Gorran with Glenn joining later to play drums. Gorran and Romain met busking, Romain and Ren then met through Facebook while Ren was trying to find a flat mate. They would all busk together and Glenn would sit in as drummer while also playing bass with another friend Rafa. They then decided to become a band and would take to the streets of Brighton and also created masterpieces of their own. They played numerous gigs including a sold out tour of the U.K. and also released a 6 track EP called “Can Do Will Do”. They busked together for the last time on 14th December 2022 and played their final gig at the Brighton Dome a short while later. Having to go on hiatus due in part to Ren moving to Canada for medical treatment and their lives going in different directions. Although they remain good friends and Ren and Romain have mentioned wanting to play together again. Great reaction Ken and what a phenomenal band to react to they are! I never thought I'd ever hear music and musicians as good as the bands of the 60s and up to the mid-70s again, but The Big Push are so exciting, so original, so innovative, so skilled and so extraordinarily musical. I love the irony of such a good rendition of “Englishman in New York” being performed by a group consisting of a French man, a Welsh man and, yes, an English man!😂 Ten just seems to draw hugely talented people into his orbit (Goran and Romain are excellent sole performers in their own right). Aside from the Big Push you have Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla, Sam Tomkins and Eden Nash - all brilliant as well.

Check out Swan Song. Gorran Kendall and Romain Axisa also have great solo stuff. I’d go It All Feels Old for Romain. A favorite Gorran song of mine is “If”. The live version where he unintentionally frightens children in a park. ❤

It's not just Ren--- Goren and Romain are incredibly talented as well. They all do everything-- easily tossing guitars and bass and lead vocals between them. Ren has two new collabs with Chinchilla coming out in March or April, also 2 other collabs and I think some solo stuff. He's prolific as hell!

Ren’s cover is for me better than Sting’s original. A creative artist makes a cover new and refreshing. REN does this repeatedly. A case in point his autistic cover of Murderer.

am grateful to spread the ren rabbit hole & big push thru as many venues as possible but have to say disappointed with reaction. nothing indicating any semblance of vocal coaching in your viewing & then to blatantly share unfamiliarity w/ the original!!! what was the point? we are all familiar, looking for insight & substance. hope next listen provides some of that
