I love the groove and that old school Motown-style riff/bass line. And of course, the vocal is amazing. Night owl and black coffee pretty much sum up most of my personality and, while I don't drink anymore, I've certainly done my share. So, I really relate to the lyrics as well. I'm so glad you reacted to this one.
Love his phenomenally beautiful voice! As catholics of multi-ethnic heritages..when his Take me to church song cane out..we had interesting family generational discussions re the topic of the song. Glad I was part of the sensitive 60's. Glad my grandchildren expanded it. Just sayin. 👍 to Hozier!
A bit of a correction, it's not his middle name he uses as his stage name, his middle name is John. He uses the first part of his hyphenated last name.
I love how the lyrics are arranged - some songs are very simple rhyming and of course this has rhyming as well but how the lyrics are arranged makes it much more interesting to listen to. It's like he's telling a story.
Love this! His voice is somewhat a relief for my ears, and I can't explain further. Also, his band is neat I have a suggestion for you: listen to Chappell Roan's Good Luck, Babe. There are some notoriously "odd" techniques around her voice. For as much as I can tell, it's some 80's, like Condy Lauper and Kate Bush, but also a bit of Florence and country music. And she is also a drag queen! Yay thanks for the great video again!

I love ur channel!! As a proud UC strudent and a proud Coimbra citizen, I would love to see ur reaction to "Canção de Coimbra". Basically "Canção de Coimbra" is a type of fado, that the students from Coimbra University sing to the city in a specific event that is called "Serenata Monumental da Queima das Fitas". Here in Coimbra the university tradicions are really unique, and so the music. There's also the Tunas, that are groups of college students who create also very typical music, but the "Canção de Coimbra" is something super special that I believe you'll love. Personally I would recomend "Balada a Coimbra" from Grupo de Fados Amanhecer
I would like to take a moment to Say I appreciate your channel and I truly enjoy your genuine reactions and emotional responses to what you are hearing. And to that end I would like to strongly recommend a Metal Singer ( Russell Allen) From The Band Symphony X arguable one of the best Metal singers of his generation ...at least. The Song I would love you to hear and react to is (A Winters Dream: Prelude pt.1) off the Album (The Damnation Game) you won't be sorry. Past that anything Russell Sings is worth listening to so clean and powerful.

I've been an absolute fan of Hozier ever since I first heard Take Me to Church. Swoon, isn't he just the coolest (extra) tall drink of (Irish) water? 🇮🇪❤♾️🇺🇲
Un vídeo entretenido el cantante con una voz muy suave le va muy bien con el estilo de música terminó gustandome la canción bien Beth 👏👏🍀🍀 mi H Prrj ❤🇲🇽
It's crazy that most of his songs are just as good but this one is getting all the attention lol I'm here for it, but definitely listen to his other songs if you like this one
G’day Beth I’ve been watching your reactions for quite a while now. I was watching you watch our Aussie Legend John Farnham singing Help. I was hoping you might be able to react to John Farnham and Olivia Newton John singing Please don’t ask me and enjoy there duet together. I really think your love it. So please keep reacting and I and everyone will keep watching. Thanks. Maybe a silly question but your accent from Scotland yeah ?
Isn't this the studio version? Doesn't she usually react to untampered live versions of songs? Sorry it's been a while since I've watched one of her vids
I sincerely think (kind of request please hahaha) that you should react to "León Larregui - Como Tú (Magic Music Box) (Video Oficial)". I truly think that it is a very similar song than this one from hozier.
I've seen him live and he sounds the same so definitely no auto tune on this song. The only auto tune i thinj he uses is for the beginning of "eat your young" (an amazing song).
When people will react I'm Kissing You Des'ree have a unic voice and her vibrato it's so perfect, i keeping beg in reactions channel, tired, SHE IS BETTER THAN BEYONCE.
The ballet dancer was for the "Movement" video. Later were we known about his homophobic opinions who are not the core of the "Take me to church" video. Check the informations before putting them on screen, thank you.
There's a video of Sergei dancing take me to church that was directed by David LaChapelle and went viral back in 2015. Sergei even did live performances of the song on American TV. A few years later, he appeared on the Movement video you just mentioned🙂.
