Two of their duo singles were quite successful - Don't Worry peaked at number 5 and they still perform it during concerts. Natalie is by far the best and most confident of the two sisters. I also love her tone, so distinctive and warm. Thanks for the reaction
I really like this, Natalie has always been my favourite Saint, Fantasy was #2 and Don’t Worry was #5 for Appleton’s singles so they did pretty well with their first couple of singles
I loved the Appleton album! I feel like the slow songs work a lot better like 5am or Don't Worry - Natalie sounds amazing in all her performances.I feel like Nicole projects more when she sings harmonies but isn't so confident in her solo parts (as much as I look forward to them). Both Nic and Nat's voices to me are what helped 'blend' the All Saints vocals together, since Shaz and Mel have much more distinct vocals that are more suited for solo parts. I also just remembered that there's a performance of Under the Bridge (Canberra, 2019) where Nic sings Nat's solo part because Nat was home sick that day. If i had to rank it would be Shaz Nat (underrated!) Mel (she isn't worse per se but her range is a lot more limited - her vocal tone is more interesting than Nat's though) Nic
another superb honest reaction by yourself. it is so refreshing to hear someone's actual opinions and not just what the fans want to hear, well done. i would love to hear your honest reaction to my favourite voice, australian katie noonan, try the video of her singing a cover of sia's chandelier live at the sydney harbour bridge
I really do think there is more for Nicole to offer in her voice, but this song was not in her ideal register. They were also going for this edgy rock band vibe, hence the static performance, Nicole was married to Liam Gallagher at this point, and Natalie to Liam Howlett of The Prodigy. xx
Love Appleton's work, but obviously their voices blend so well in the harmonies of All Saints as a whole. If you see recent performances, it's great to see how they've all grown in confidence, especially Nic :)
Just a quick comment. My 8 year old grandaughter has the pillow your daughter designed in her bedroom window seat. She loves it and sits by it every day. We tell her friends who ask about the artist of the pillow. They are always so drawn in by the lovely design.
