cuz they afraid she will critic the heck out of it if they sing live. not saying they're bad singer but they do use autotune with tiney desk and couple weak technique here and there. tbh idk :P
thanh nguyen Literally no one is afraid of that and no... they didn’t use auto tune. Not sure which tiny desk performance you listened to, but it wasn’t BTS, that’s for sure.
Well tbh I’ve already seen two vocal coaches say they have used something. Be it auto tune or what not, it’s still hear-able imo. We already know BTS doesn’t need auto tune, like at all but it’s about time people stop throwing around every time someone uses auto tune, it’s bc they can’t sing. It’s just an effect.
Was thinking the exact same thing. It's like "vocal coach reacts to lip sync". It's especially frustrating when it's people who are killer singers live
Liked the video except for some of the comments at the end. I just need to say that just bc they are considered k-pop DOES NOT mean they are bubblegum pop (they are far from it). I’m pretty sure they’ve probably covered (and nailed) almost every genre at this point and they put their heart and soul into everything they do. Like seriously the amount of meaning incorporated into almost all of their songs blows my mind and is astronomical compared to some of the other mainstream stuff that is popular today. I don’t even know if they’re capable of writing a song without having some meaning behind it bc of how passionate they are about their music. They made Dynamite to make people happy and to lift the spirits of ppl during these trying and difficult times. Yes, they did choose a style of music that would appeal to a large audience and it was their first song completely in English, but that just enabled them to spread joy to even more people during this pandemic, which is a blessing if you ask me. That’s all for now. Thanks for listening to my TedTalk. 😅
Actually, half of the groups in kpop, maybe even more, don't do that "straight bubblegum pop" music. Especially nowadays, there are more like edm and hip hop or some fusion. Such a stereotype
Totally off topic, Tara you are obviously beautiful and stunning but also You are looking ripped in this video. Very muscular and strong like an athlete! Totally random I know. Love the videos!
The funny thing is that this song is the worst representation of who they are, their artistry and their sound. This was written for them and, you’re right, a formula was used to produce a global hit. I can’t think of any of their own songs that are as bubble gummy as this one. But yes, it serves its purpose to give people a bright, feel-good song that will appeal to pretty much anyone. It’s very good for what it’s supposed to be and they brought it to a whole different level.
If you want a more emotional, and in that way more "intriguing" song from BTS, they do have that! One song that's a really piece of art is "The Truth Untold". Would find it amazing if you could check it out! :) Have a great day, and thanks for the reactions!
bts is so much more than just “straightforward bubblegum pop”, their music is so diverse; pop, hip hop, r&b, neo-soul, edm, trap, emo rock. people have to give bts a chance and dive deeper
Try the tiny desk performance - it’s live. BTS isn’t really known for bubblegum pop tho 🤷♀️. They do pop, but also ballads, hip-hop, EDM, latin, rock, and R&B.
Dynamite wasn't actually made to be a hit😅 Since it was a very hard year so far, BTS decided to make a fun groovy song to try and help whoever they can even by just a little, and they have so many different genres in their albums etc. I think you should really check out more of their songs!!
It's a great explanation for the fans. But all we know that they want a Grammy nomination so here it is. Full english song. And as we all knew it from the beginning, we were and are doing everything that we can to give them this nomination
Unless you ask the people who actually wrote the song... who were told by the companies that BTS were looking for an English-only hit and needed someone to write it.
BTS is actually more than the bubblegum pop kind of music. They have savage raps, melodic, smooth jazz, emotional songs, dark and depressing songs, they even have some classical, some moody R&B, hardcore rock style, straight up hiphop and sometimes electronic. The only thing I don't think I've heard from them was country, but ya they have genres of every kind in their category.
@@borat8745 ya but thats not their song. They barely sung in it. I don't count that because it isn't their song and they were featured in it for like 15sec.
They are so much more than "straightforward bubblegum pop", actually they do have a lot of hip hop, R&B, and rap on their discography. They have also dabbled in Neo Soul, Ballads, EDM, Emo Rock, Moombahton Trap, Dance Pop, Latin Pop etc I would have love to see a reaction to their Tiny Desk Performance, which was live.
Some of my favorite vocal songs from BTS that I always recommend are: House of Cards - by the vocal line of BTS (V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Jin) The Truth Untold - by the vocal line Stigma - by V Lie - by Jimin Awake - by Jin Epiphany - by Jin Still with You - by Jungkook There are many more but these are just a few with incredible vocals.
I highly suggest you to watch some of their live performances of songs with more vocals in it, "The Truth Untold" "Crystal Snow" "Spring Day" and "Your Eyes Tell" I'm personally not a BTS fan (no disrespect, they're great, K-pop is just mostly not my cup of tea, i only listen to a few songs occassionally, out of curiousity), but these 4 are definitely worth to watch, i think they are beautiful songs and have some great vocals in it. :)
Saying that BTS are strictly "bubblegum pop" is inaccurate. They have more than 300 songs to their name and posse such a large diversity in their discography. They've experimented with so many genres that by a majority, they're not even considered K-pop anymore. Also, this song wasn't planned, they didn't intend for it to be a hit, although considering how many records it broke it arguably is a hit. The intent behind this song was to cheer up their fans due to how difficult things have been with Covid-19. It's a pity you didn't react to their Tiny Desk Concert performance. Their live vocals are truly incredible and I would have loved to hear your opinion. Thank you for your input, explanations and your reaction! 💜
Shay Ferreira wdym they’re arent kpop. They are a korean group, based in korea, formed by a korean company and trained in korea. If they arent kpop. What are they?
@@simplicity7862 You're right! They are a Korean group, formed by a Korean company, trained in Korea and the majority of their songs are in Korean. However, K-pop stands for Korean Pop. There are artist who tend to stick to one genre but BTS have experimented with so many genres, be it: Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Rock, EDM, Classical, Jazz, Afro beats, Latin beats and even Korean beats too, in honor of their culture. Due to their very diverse discography, a lot of their fans (although, not all of them) consider the boys a genre all on their own. They are a group of Korean musicians who aren't limited to exclusively the Pop genre. There's nothing wrong with calling them K-pop though! I was just explaining why a lot of us have started to consider them as something a bit different. Thank you for your reply!
The "Bubblegum pop" might be inaccurate but you should note that Tara will react to them without knowing them fully so it is understandable that she might mention something wrong about the artist she is reacting to.
@@giannpauloayson3435 Of course, I agree! Which is exactly why I tried to inform her otherwise 👍🏻 No one knows everything about anything. We learn from each other every day.
“straightforward bubblegum pop” nah BTS are MOSTLY HIP HOP. They have 20+ genres in their discography. RM the leader was influenced by rappers like Nas, Biggie, 2 pac, Eminem etc. Definitely check out their other stuff dynamite doesn’t even show anything near their skill level. React to the Jimmy Fallon BTS week Performances, MMA 2019. Songs: Mic Drop, On Kinetic Manifesto, BTS UGH, OUTRO TEAR, DDAENG, CYPHERS 1-4 AGUST D, RM JOKE. And Jhope and Jimins dance compilations
All I could think while watching this reaction (Tara's smile and cute dancing) is that BTS truly accomplished the purpose of this song which was to bring happiness and joy to their fans and people who listened to it, they didn't make it to be a "hit" but it definitely is. Nothing to say other than I'm proud of them and the messages they spread, for me they are the greatest role models of this generation.
Not gonna lie, you have a very biased idea of what kpop is. Kpop isn't a genre. This also was a challenge for them because English isn't their first language and the whole song is in English. Kpop isn't all cookie cutter, bubble gum music.
1. you didn't focus on the MV. 2. you've missed the most of scenes in the MV. 3. you just danced to the song staring at your cam. so this is not a reaction vid.
I agree that this song is more bubblegum than the rest of their songs. Some songs in your catalog do need to be fun. That being said, I disagree that it’s so easy. I think that there’s a lot of words in it, that need to be said at a very quick pace, and they’re constantly in falsetto it seems in this song or almost. With a few dips down into chest. Add all of that together… And I’m sure they will have to dance this song… That’s a lot of work.
Hi Tara, I love your videos a lot! I must say that Bts mainly making bubblegum pop is a popular misconception and that their songs don’t typically sound like this. This song in particular sounds like that intentionally, like you said, but the reasoning was to cheer people up since this years been hard for a lot of people. Their discography is actually very diverse. You’ll find R&B, hip hop, ballads, edm, rap, rock, and plenty of other sounds and influences in their work! Their music is actually very meaningful and full of depth. So I hope you’ll react to different types of songs and live performances from them in the future and experience their diversity 💜😊
Please react to: Little mix - live lounge 2020 (they cover falling by Harry styles) Acapop kids - and I am telling you Acapop kids - fix you Loren Allred - never enough evening with David foster Morisette amon - defying gravity 2020 (she is in a red shirt) Morisette Amon - she used to be 2020 (she is also in a red shirt) ❤️❤️❤️
BTS isn't just "Straight forward bubblegum pop",they have many genres of music.Actually... i think they used all the genres and they even make new types of genres.Thats one of the reasons i am a fan of them. But there are 9,948,937 more reasons why i love them.Oh and btw, your dance was so cute😊
With all due respect… I’m not sure why you have been doing these up-tempo songs by Little Mix, BLACKPINK, and now BTS, when you clearly don’t really want to analyze them and then you just claim that they were too easy. I guess it’s just a nice dance break for you… But it’s not fair to their fans who are expecting more..
BTS is not bubblegum pop.... Far from it. Kpop doesn't mean pop either. It simply refer to korean popular music, but not the pop genre known in the west. Kpop is an industry, not a genre.
The "Bubblegum pop" might be inaccurate but you should note that Tara will react to them without knowing them fully so it is understandable that she might mention something wrong about the artist she is reacting to.
Thank you for reacting to this song, would be nice if you could listen to The True Untold by the vocal line of BTS They have many songs in different gender of music, BTS challenge themselves with various stiles, would be nice to hear what do you think about the other songs 😊 Congratulations BTS for the billboard chart!!! 💜💜💜💜
Please react to MAMAMOO'S cover of Delilah or their cover of immortal songs and please react to Hyolyn's cover of Rockabye 🙏🙏. I promise you, you won't be disappointed
You are so right that this song was meant to be a hit, not to show off their voices in a special way! There are also a lot of effects on their voices in this MV, which makes it even harder to hear what they sound like. If you want to react to a performance of theirs that is more centered on vocals, I would recommend their live performance of Your Eyes Tell or their recent performance of Mikrokosmos on Jimmy Fallon's show.
DYNAMITE is just their full english single for armys and ppl bcuz of the pandemic but armys literally topped the song in every charts (locals and us) and still breaking a lot of records left n right. Haha
I guess for someone from the west that mostly knows bts's 'hit' songs then yeah it may seem like thats what they're mostly known for, the bubblegum pop. But in reality tho bts is actually mostly known for their diversity in genres, having songs with hard hip hop influences, be it old school hip hop or the new styles of hip hop, and many different types of music like rnb, pop, jazz, edm, rock, tradicional korean music, and even released a version of one of their singles Black Swan with the original trap like beat being replaced by an orchestra of sorts with live instruments! They're well respected and admired in korea by their extremely talented rappers, very well known for having a very diverse vocal line when it comes to vocal colors, praised for the many different, and sometimes heavy meanings they put in their music and lets not even mention their performance skills right? Musically wise they're actually very well know for their messages, be it in a pop song, rnb, a ballad, hip hop, you name it, they've probably done it at some point. They're well respected songwrites and producers, aways having a hand in the music they release. So yeah, there's definitely a lot more to them than just the bubblegum pop disco vibe you get from this song in particular. A cool fact is that this song wasn't actually made with the intention of it becoming a hit. The boys themselves have stated that due to the situation of the world right now they decided to release this song as something to motivate and bring happiness to those who need it, almost like a little safe place where you can hide from all the chaos and just dance, you know? I'd love to recommend you their tiny desk concert! It's a little live concert with a live band in which they sing, not only this song, but two others as well! I'm sure army would love to see what are your thoughts about their vocals and performance skills overall 😊 much love 💘
You have a western mindset where musical acts focus only on one genre like pop, rock, rap, etc where they can only do one thing. Kpop encompasses the whole package: rap, vocals, dance, visual and style. Also their videos are state of the art. You are only focused on vocals and missing out.
Where is sohyang in this channel she made a lenger performance 2020 please react on it stuck with you.i'll be there .i will go to you like the first snow . I'll always love you . Please . ....please react on it because i love your reaction
Yeeeeeees please!!😍😍😍 She participated in the program, Begin agian, where really talented singers came out and busking in front of the public (for free)!! Originally they did it abroad, but because of the coronavirus👿, they did in Korea this time.😭😭
And also please react to her another legendary performance I HAVE NOTHING(2015) Here's link for you🙃 m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CFtRUSPxcas.html Always thank you Tara❤
I haven't listened to them before.. This was completely bubble gum.. Money for the label then gone forever.. Fun song, nothing special. I'm sure they have better songs... Someone please give me a better song than this to know who they are.
I recommend Spring Day, Outro:Tear, Not today, Fake Love, Lie, Ddaeng, Black Swan, ON, The Truth Untold, Mic Drop, Interlude:Shadow. Actually there are so much more, but I think these are quite good examples for their diversity. Also ALWAYS read the Lyrics too! Lyrics are important for Bts
Can you react to more BTS but live... For example: zero o'clock, house of cards, the truth untold, dimple, love maze, pied Piper, let me know, airplane pt2. Their tiny desk performance, festa 2021 too... BTS have so many gd songs, live version too
Hi Maam Tara.... thanks for your reviews and reactions 😍.... Please react to 4th Impact's cover of Dynamite ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aFw5ox37of4.html They sang it live with band.... for sure you will love it 😍... God Bless and keep safe
Please reaction to😣😣😣🙏🙏🙏 Nct kik it Nct baby don't stop Nct dream ridin Nct dream boom Nct blak on blak Wayv TURN BACK time Wayv love talk Wayv take off
❤ Good reaction coach! My suggestion would be babymetal - akatsuki. Pls dont be mislead by the name. The singer at that time was 16 years old. Thank you! ! !
How? She has a misconseption and people, who know a band better are sharing their thoughts. Whenever they only perform bubble gum pop is not a question of opinion but a question of knowledge. Also freedom of speech doesnt mean the freedom from criticism.
