I think if you really want No effects whatsoever, react to Jungkook singing acapella in his live streams (vlive) I'm sure there must be a compilation video out there. Not sure if there is a live performance of all of them which doesn't have some level of mixing on their voice (even tiny desk)

4:12 lol this is Jhope and the first singer one jungkook … jungkook is the main vocalist and Jhope is a rapper.. however jungkook is the only vocalist who is also a sub rapper and Jhope is the only rapper who is also a sub vocalist lol I def hear a lot of similarities in their voices and styles in some songs for sure. Jungkook is a vocal enigma though honestly bc his raw voice changes so much from song to song bc he has had very little traditional vocal training … he’s super passionate about singing and a true artist at heart so his voice starts from the emotion of the song… it’s hard to explain but really interesting to hear him talk about that and how he learns now… bc he’s always trying to learn something new he sees or hears… ge recently went to the silk sonic concert when bts was in Vegas and how inspired he was by them being so tiny but having such powerful voices really had an effect on him and he talked about how when he hears songs he paints a picture of what he’s hearing in his mind to try and understand what the layout of a song and production would look like and how the singers get their voices there… basically he had a similar experience when he went to the Ariana grande concert when they were all in LA lol he’s got such a thirst for knowledge about singing bc he’s so passionate about it.. he just loves it!! There’s some really cool videos like the “main vocalist jungkook” video where we hear him talk about his learning of singing and then the other members and kinda what they think about him in this role and there’s some vocal production breakdowns with some interviews with producers they worked with and why he stuck out with them recording , some live clips of the adlibing and harmonizing that are his signature… he LOVES layered harmonies and shows them recording music and kind of what the group expects from him… and just a really cool insight to this insane position as their main vocalist as the baby of the group lol it’s so good. That or “jungkook king of acapella” by Ida s bc his raw voice is the best way to hear it! He does these livestreams where people request songs and he just sits there and sings them… no fancy equipment or anything or microphone… just sitting with his camera on a live lol it’s insane to hear how he sounds exactly like the track… but usually a lot better :)
I'm with a lot of other people who have commented here, their voices sound the same as when they sing without a mic esp in Vlives or mucking around ... and most of us have watched if not hundreds of their vids on yt
Hmmm least mixed and effected performance?? I think the 2021 Festa Room and I’ll Be Missing You cover on BBC One have less mic mixing. There you can see who the rappers v vocalists are. The Festa is a medley so you get an exposure of their music over the years too.

While these guys have amazing “bops”, they are loved even more by Army for their more serious songs. They have covered various mental health issues and disorders that have resonated with so many people. Songs about tragedies, loss, loving yourself,discovering yourself and loving and accepting others without prejudice. Their message radiates from very young to the Blue House and recently to the White House -Grandma Army

for me most of the pandemic perfomances had a lot of autotune put on them, which i personally don't like that much, so i would recommend perfomances that are recorded with a live audience, before or after 2020, they don't have autotune and they're voices sound awesome anyways
i think dynamite live performances are not a great way to showcase their vocal abilities because they intentionally add autotune for dynamite due to artistic reasons. even in tiny desk for example, they used auto tune mostly for dynamite whereas the other songs didnt have auto tune specifically.
@@jamais_vu3 tiny desk has a lot of auto tune in all the songs I think it's these performances that are "pre recorded" and edited (as in video editing), the production ppl just add a lot of autotune and it's not just dynamite, it's butter, ptd, ON, life goes on, they all have a lot of auto tune when they are these edited performances
55 dad of two and married 33 years and love these guys. These guys always sound like this, they will use aids for effects, like auto tune, but for effect, not because they need it. Two of the singers you heard here were the rappers (second and third singer). I’d suggest seeing live performances like Tiny Desk, Festa Room Live 2021, The Truth Untold and House of Cards to start with.

Jimin also has a powerful lower range… even a growl. Check out his solos, Serendipity and Lie. Also, his part is lower on Black Swan and Fire. I can’t remember the songs I have heard him growl on. He has a beautiful voice and a very attractive stage presence! Love him!
I’m not sure how old you are, but it’s pretty likely that these guys are all closer to you in age than to a 13 year old. They’re in their mid-late 20’s, the eldest will turn 30 this year. They aren’t trying to cater to an audience that young and haven’t been for several years now. Their music and themes tend to mature with them, which you’ll discover if you keep looking into them. I’m 38 and have been a huge fan of theirs for a couple of years now and most of the ARMY I know are closer to my age. I think you’d like the Tiny Desk concert, but also check out BTS Room Live from 2021 FESTA. It’s one song from each album, there’s no choreography, and it’s a much better chance for all of them to shine. The English-language songs are not the best representation of their talent and diverse style. The rappers get their chance to shine in that, too. I hope you react to it! Jimin's singing voice is WAY HIGHER than his speaking voice. It has nothing to do with effects, that's just how his voice is. In fact many liken his singing voice to closer to feminine range.
You are right, but, there's definitely post production on this performance... Idk if it's an effect or the mixing... But there's that vocal sound that makes pop singers sound more metallic and the lines less straight, more as if they're jumping up and down. It's something I hear in almost all pop performances nowadays (in which there's either that, or a lot of reverb.)

That doesn’t have anything to do with how it’s mixed lol it’s not the note she’s talking about and this is something I always can hear in live performances bc this is a taped performance and they clean up the audio sometime similar to how the online concerts are live but when the dvd comes out the audio has been cleaned up a bit if there were technical issues or the member was off on a certain point. It’s the quality of the part that shows a very different sound or texture to other parts of what he’s singing and this is used quite a bit with jimin bc he sings higher than is natural to him. His more natural tone is deeper but still higher than the rest of them… and all the years of him pushing to be higher… can cause damage to his vocal chords which is what I always worried about. Watching old live performances his live voice has a completely different tone and texture .. but bc he worked very hard o this unique sound and technique… it can cause regression over time and it’s why he struggles live more than some of the others… which sucks bc I just love him. Ppl always talk about how crazy it is that the vocalists have clear different tones and styles they sing.. but what people don’t understand is that this isn’t just natural.. these are tones abs styles they’ve worked over time to create and maintain which can be hard to maintain overtime… Tae kinda has the same problem and issues with singing live and often there’s a lot of production mixed in with his parts that they do very well.. but you can always catch if you’re paying attention to their voices and mouths as they sing and especially with a trained ear like a vocal coach

Jimin's, especially, is regarded as one of the most unique voices in the industry. Contrary to what it seems like, his singing voice sounds like that since the beginning of their debut. He used to really sulk about it, always questioned why it had to sound like that and require more control in comparison to others. Being the lead vocalist, he shines more in his upper register, taking most of BTS's highnotes. International critics frames his voice together with the likes of Michael Jackson and Adam Levine. The other vocalists (Jungkook, V, and Jin) all have unique edges on their own. Jungkook (main vocalist) is deemed the most stable, with great emotional depth and unmatched understanding of pitch. V has the most range in the group, mostly settling in the lower parts but can match the others when it comes to the higher ones. Jin, last but not the least, is often praised by critics because of his "silver-like" falsetto and emotional range. He shares most of the high notes with Jimin, but takes on a different approach. The vocalists have continuously improved through the years. The rappers' styles on the other hand, also have their own identities and stories of growth, which might take too long to also unravel in this comment. Being successful rappers, producers, and songwriters on their own, they're surely not considered as one of the best raplines in kpop for no reason. Anyways, sorry for the long comment. Ok You went a little too far with this "the majority are into their 80's". No, the majority of BTS fans are between 16-30 if I am well oriented. But they also have a huge fanbase of 30+, 40+ and up fans. Both males and females of course.

This is consistent with the recent ARMY demographic survey, if I recall correctly, and I think international fans tend to be older than k-ARMY.

Makes a lot more sense when you consider the luxury brands BTS represents that ARMY buys up; the fact that ARMY travels all over the world to see BTS, boosting the economy wherever we go; and the billions of dollars of merch and peripheral items that ARMY buys up. 'Tweens don't have that kind of money and access.
If you read her comment when she posted she did say sorry. 25-55 has the most fans but their are a lot older and younger. Plus close to even of male and female.

Your eyes tell live! That’s the one. And just putting it out there- jimins voice is just like that, he’s got a really high tone when singing that can go deep when speaking. Don’t feel like you can’t fall in love with them…I’m 45 years old, some of them are almost 30…..imo dynamite, butter, ptd..(basically their English songs) don’t do justice to how incredible they are live.
Hey I'll be 48 in a couple of months and I enjoy BTS. My favorite songs are ANSWER: Love myself...Magic Shop...Love Maze...Bullet Proof the Eternal... so much more. It's hard to pick just one. These guys have more to offer than what you see.. Dynamite is a fun song to cheer up people when the pandemic began. Try checking out their 2021 Festa Room live for their 8th anniversary so you can sample a medley of their songs. But right of the bat I will recommend the live performance of House of Cards (with English subtitles) from the vocal line. 59 yr old Army mom here and other than their handsome looks, charming, respectful & humble personalities, it's their lyrics that also drew me to them. actually when jimin talks normally lately his voice is very thin not thick like most other boys jimin when talking usually sounds deep but deep thin :v

Great reaction! Would definitely recommend their live performance of "Your Eyes Tell" as others have suggested (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YAXDiCL5v1c.html). I'm pretty sure they don't have a backing track and minimal, if any, effects, and you can really distinguish the 4 main singers' vocals.
There's no backing track, but that performance has a lot of reverb. Because the original studio track does. I guess it's because Jungkook wrote it, he likes reverb a lot and it's common on the pop-indie music from younger singers that he tends to like.
If you dont want any effects you should listen to some of Jungkook’s singing on vlives (do the videos by Ida s). It’s with no effect and at times even acapella. He is ridiculously good and his voice is so beautifullll
Just a little help before you get in trouble with ARMYs. By saying "if you were a 13 year old girl" fed into the misnomer that their fan base is mostly made up of teenage girls. While there are lots of teenage girls who are army, this is not factually true. In fact the majority of their fan base is in their 20s and 30s and extends well into the 40s and 50s age group with a large percentage of those being male as well. There are actually statistics to back up that information.
It’s also just super insulting to the guys. They are grown men and it’s ridiculous to assert you need to be 13 to find them attractive. No one is saying that about solo male artists in their mid to late 20s or actors in their mid to late 20s.

Jimin always sounds like that when he's singing, lol. That's not the result of any effects. Jimin inhaled helium once and started singing with it and Suga joked that he couldn't hear any difference.

you can probably watch Jungkook Singing on Vlive by Ida S to get a good feel of his real voice, his vocal ability is amazing because he trains all the time wherever he is for many years before and after his debut.
Hi, the only performances in which you'll hear them sing without mixing are videos from their own concerts or award show performances (award shows in which they're physically there live, not a pre-recorded performance from a set, such as what they did during covid). I'm not a vocal coach, but I've been a fan for 6+ years and have watched literally every piece of content BTS have ever released, and I can confidently say that even their "mixed" live vocals are barely touched up.
jimin most of the time sings way higher than his normal speaking voice so much so, a lot of people often confuse his singing voice with a female vocalist and, for a performance where there's little to no tuning on their mics etc you should watch some of their concert footage i can recomend "bts dope+silver spoon+fire+run" or their medley live performance in japan

Jimin’s voice is that high but he can go lower. I know that ARMY will suggest some live performances or high note live performances, but please react to a video showing them singing acappella and if possible, one that is recent. Loved your reaction. I would recommend Your Eyes Tell. It's a Japanese song for a movie soundtrack, but the live performances have clean mics and they crush it. Also, check out solos from each of the members to really understand what each one brings to the table. As you have no doubt heard already, ARMY comes from all ages...not just 13 year old girls. Jungkook is the main vocalist and it’s hard to find performances without mixing bc of the industry that they come from in kpop. These kinds of things can be tough to find sadly. Jungkook does livestreams where he just sings without a microphone in the earlier ones but in the recent ones he has a little mic and sings along with some of the songs and dances a bit but you can def easily hear his voice. He also did a birthday live stream where he took comments from army for his birthday and sat and took those comments to create a song and recorded it live with harmonies background vocals and ad libs lol he’s just insanely passionate about singing and quite a bit more then the others and I think that’s really where the nuances in his voice to professionals is more clear … he has always been like this though.. even in 2013 when they just sang on radio stations and stuff… it’s crazy how good he always has been. Kpop is an industry that takes people with interests in any aspect of the entertainment world and shows them to the public on these groups… but the groups are built with so many different types of skills necessary bc they do so much more than music for the groups honestly… but jungkook was the only member recruited specifically for his voice
Actually Jimin, his voice is indeed very unique. Maybe you think he sounds like that because of his mic, Well of course his mic affects something, but his voice originally already sound very distinct from any male singer i've heard. He almost sounds like a girl sometimes because how high his voice is. You can check out his solo performance ( when he's singing with an ordinary mic and dancing at the same time ). Yep, that's just Jimin's voice. It's just so unlike anything you might expect that's it's easy to assume it's an effect. I feel like he uses his speaking voice as shock value when he's singing-- he uses it the same way in his solo song Filter. Also, four singers (Jungkook (aka JK), Jimin, V, and Jin) and three rappers (RM, Suga, J-Hope), but in their earliest songs, JK also did some rapping, and J-Hope also does some singing (nowhere near as much as the vocal line, but more than the others in the rap line generally). (There's a great part in Outro: Wings where JK and J-Hope rap/sing a duet.)
a lot of pandemic performances are multiple takes to get the best take and there's some post processing and mastering. that's a luxury they had due to the pre-recording and not having a live audience. they weren't really hiding that at all lol that said, I think festa room live, a medley they released for their anniversary last year is good as well as the mtv unplugged performances they did for hearing them well -- though I do recommend headphones if you want to really hear them to full effect as a side note, the tenors often get accused of using more autotune than they do, which you can check by finding behind the scenes etc of them singing off the cuff. they do actually just sound like that lmao you can also look up their concert performances. you'll still hear support tracks but there's little editing done on most of those
You can check "Jungkook singing in his vlive" compilations for JK (Jungkook). They come online to talk to us, and he usually ends up singing for 2 hours, most of the times "unprepared" ^^
Jimin's voice is the one that most differs from the 7 because when he sings his voice is high, you can differentiate that he is apart from singing in high notes

9:07 yeh especially with jimin this is used quite a bit but with all of them at some point… and I guarantee half the comments are defending his vocal tone and missing what you’re talking about with the audio mixing and the vast difference between the way the yell sounds compared to the singing part. There are very devoted fans that kind of have blinders on when it comes to this and I always notice these kinds of things or how they’re moving the mic all over the place in position from their mouths but the audio stays clear and constant volume never shifts in the slightest which is impossible. In kpop they sing and perform and ungodly amount and it would be considered illegal in some countries with the amount of training done with them and fans become so biased that they want to act like they’re perfect all the time but they’re human… they get sick, overworked, have off days and make mistakes or struggle some days more than others and that takes nothing away from the amazing artists and performers they are…. And I hate seeing people swearing up and down that things are just totally natural when there’s nothing wrong with technology being used to support them in specific performances or moments… but guarantee most army won’t be able to look passed their bias to see the human effect on bts . Doesn’t make me love them any less to see the off moments being covered for any of them … they work their asses off and are beautiful inside and out and that’s what matters

The man who starts the song is our main vocalist jungkook (jk)...he is the only member who is Mr. Pitch perfect of the group...his voice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥his range from higher to low note ..... sooo good....he can go anywhere soo smoothly..his transaction is super smooth...he has super vibrato...n jk is the king of harmonizing ..he always harmonize with all the members n his voice blend well with everyone the most....n 90%of harmonizing done by jk...n jk with rapline ( suga, jhope, RM) ad-libs most n jk the ad-libs king also....jk also sing the vocal guide (most of them )that all the members follow it to fill their parts....jk the perfect main vocalist indeed 😍🥰😍😍..n his falsetto is the best...he makes everything seems soo easy n effortless....n jk's vocal live better than studio.....the best even when he dance so hard....

@@rajiasultana6597 ok u got the words in the wrong order, i wondered if you meant perfect pitch, but i went with what you typed mr. Pitch perfect. Perfect pitch is rare but not superhuman or anything. I heard V was able to name a note and apparently has perfect pitch if he did that which is how it's defined. When JK was able to replicate that melody on episode on those colored buttons he definitely showed he has a great ear but someone with great tonal memory who was able to remember which button went with what note would also be able to do that. After that episode lots of fan discussion referred to JK having perfect pitch but that was actually a demonstration of an excellent eat using tonal memory.
@@Lovmyself n for this ability jk can easily understand the producers well sings most of the vocal guide for the group even for rapline.... Producer who works with BTS always praises him for his understanding of music n good hearing ability....the catching ability......n that's makes him different from others......
Just do not assume they are a typical boy band, because they are participate as producer, song writer, lyric, etc in many of their songs. They do many genre of music and I like their older songs. Even Suga awarded as best producer for other artist (Suran). Their lyric sometime very deep and sometimes just for fun. They talked about society, politic, economy, education, mental health, etc and their lyric discuss in university. Some lyric maybe hard to understand for teenager so this is way they have fan from baby to elderly people, man and woman.
I would love to see you react to the BTS Picnic Live (MBC) performance of their song Tomorrow, an old fan favourite. The production is a lot more raw. There are also youtube compilations of them singing acapella (mainly focusing on the four vocalists and especially Jungkook, who shares more stuff like that). It's a lot of behind the scenes and them half playing around, but it's still great and you'll be able to get a good idea what their voices are like.
I would definitely listen to their tiny desk performance, they do have a little mixing in dynamite.. but can hear jk more . The rest of the songs aswell should give you better clarity on thier actuall voices ... or the cover of coldplays fix you . You can hear there natural voices
go watch the tiny desk concert. all of it, 3 songs, they all use doubling on their mics, all the time, just like everyone does. they don't use autotune unless they are dancing and even then, not much falls through. Also, watch this again and keep you eyes on Jimins throat, I think you'll be surprised how little of his voice goes to head voice. I was freakin, shocked.
Well BTS members are 25-30 years old so you don't need to be a teenager LOL So many think they are "boys" and they are not they are grown men. Also Jimin's voice naturally sounds like he has it mixed but he really does not. When he sings and talks it sounds the same and when he sings without any mixing, he sounds like they are doing production on his voice. It is natural for him. That is why Jimin amazes people.

There’s actually a backing track in 2021 FESTA. You can hear it distinctly during Pied Piper when Jimin misses one line. It’s an amazing performance and should definitely be watched by everyone, but I don’t want someone going into it not expecting a backing track and then hearing it.
@@WhalienDNA The only 100% non produced performances online are live concert fancams... Bc there's always post production mixing at least (makes sense, considering they're seven members with different voices and volume has to be regulated). Their singing in karaoke is also non-filtered, but karaoke microphones are bad quality. Also, their singing on live streams, but they rarely sing full songs during lives, and Kookie often likes adding a lot of reverb too. To be fair, I've found this to be the case for the majority of pop stars, including people like Halsey or Billie Eilish... Only live concert is sometimes non-filtered in post production. Even Acapella groups like Pentatonix does post-production on their videos (well most of those are MVs/non live.) And same with RU-vid singers (actually, maybe they started this trend of adding a lot of reverb idk). Well, in a way, even using a microphone is a form of production/altering the voice artificially, by elevating the volume more than the natural voice.)
@@WhalienDNA I know but that's actually very normal. Almost every artists have backing tracks just to fill in the harmonies or filtered vocals. I recommended it because it's just overally very clean without any effects on their vocals! Normally any live performance of theirs is without vocal effects except for some dynamite performances that use autotune!!
Hello, good reaction, in fact their voices there are exactly what they sound like, they don't have mixes or added effects, of the boy with an added microphone his name is Jimin, his voice is like that, very bright, light and sharp, you can search for videos where they sing without instrumental and only their voices and you will see that of the 7 their voices sound just like you just heard them, sometimes they growl, or change their tonality a little according to the emotion that runs through them when they are enjoying their songs a lot, in concerts you can notice this, in the case of Jimin in concert in some songs he usually puts a little growl, but his voice is always like that.
@@angiesplaylist23 I know that production arrangements and microphone effects are made in pre-recorded performances, but BTS has never used them during live performances, and I never said that they weren't singing live, what I meant is that there are videos of them where they are not singing with microphones and it is only their voices, like in the behind the scenes or in the bangtan bombs, so it could be useful since their voices sound the same, I have been an ARMY for 5 and a half years, so I am informed about these things and that is why I recommended looking for these types of videos.
Wow I was with you until you said “if I was 13,” um lady I’m 35. They are 24-29 years old. Harry Styles is the same age as 2 of the members of BTS and I highly doubt you’d say that about him these days. Enough with the stereotypes.
There is no age of liking bts it is just a perception of the west especially Americans that army's are 13 or 17 years girls I don't think there is a age to leave a crush on someone personally I am a 15 year old army who had the same idea that bts was just a group who attracted young girls but they are not some boy and they are more than that I hated them for 2 years and now that I think back I realised that I hated them without even watching their content maybe you guys should try to understand that ☺💜

I saw you blushing, I don’t know how old you are, but BTS ages are from 24 to 29. I am a 60+ female and I absolutely adore BTS and yes, they can still make me blush. I may be an “older mature woman”, but I am not dead.☺️🤗. V, the member with the deeper voice, he slapped his bottom at the end,😳😉 is my Bias. It may surprise you the majority of ARMY are I believe 24 and older. So, be a fan girl, please, if you see any unkind comments, try to disregard them as you will find that ARMY are very protective of BTS. I think 'house of cards' the live is the best if you're looking for there voices with out effects But that song is actually just the vocal line members are singing it
React to Crystal Snow live. There is a very minimal effect on the mics, but it's beautiful. There's a live version with a focus on Jin's triple high note (it cuts to a fancam of him at that part, it's amazing) It's not a Korean song, it's a Japanese song. Also check out the live version of your eyes tell. It's also a Japanese song. It was mostly written by Jungkook. I believe it was for a reboot of an older Japanese Television series that they either did another series of or movie. I'm not sure. But it's beautiful and really high

I saw them in concert with my then 14 year old several years ago and was so impressed with them! Their concert was amazing. True talent... not only their singing but dancing too. :)

When you listen to NPR Tiny Desk Concert, you will hear some backing vocals and a bit of autotune on "Dynamite" again. It's for the effect they want for that song. However, the next two songs are pretty acoustic and wonderful as well. You could skip the first song and do the other two. Thank you for your great reaction!
I would recommend You to go for their live performances that include them dancing WHILE singing. It's crazy how they can pull it off. They are basically always live (with maybe few exceptions), only with a little bit of backing track. The fans favourite is probably their MMA2019 - it's long, but reactors often make a few parts out of it. MAMA 2019 is great as well. If you want shorter performances - I would go for Black Swan or Idol on Jimmy Fallon maybe?
