This song is a metaphor for getting downgraded from being someone significant to a person (having a name) to being someone unimportant (just a number). This song is from the album Love Yourself: Tear and the album was written and recorded in a time where the members were questioning whether they made the right choices and were also honestly expressing shifts in their relationships and dynamics (Suga recently told the story in a Vlive) so this song is really opened to interpretation: could be a metaphor for a romantic relationship, for a friendship or even for a fan-artist relationship. As always, with BTS, nothing is as simple as it seems. 💜
Great explanation! Also regarding the numbers: Pluto was downgraded from a planet to a minor planet and sometimes left out of the line up completely. 134340 is Pluto's official name. Destination: 134340 Pluto. edit: haha I need to start watching the whole video before I post comments.... as I get to the part where he "gets it" because its in the video..... smh :)
Ok you figure out Pluto. RM feels strongly about everything he does. When he isn’t writing songs dancing or singing he is reading. This is why BTS are not the artist of 14 yos like the media likes to say. Rm is deep, much of his stuff goes over the kids heads of the kids. He loves word play. For example, old town road he did with little nas x. In his verse he wrote you’ll get your money with my homey in your back yard. Here in the hip hop world a homey is your friend in Korea it’s a garden trowel. Rm IQ is 148 he is a genus he is in the top 0.1% of the world. If that’s not enough he tested 900 in English for international communication and the boy taught himself English while watching friends.
THIS SONG IS TOO UNDERRATED CUZ ITS MY FAVOURITE 💜💜 134340 WAS THE NUMBER GIVEN TO PLUTO AFTER IT WAS NO MORE CALLED A PLANET....THIS SONG DESCRIBED THAT HOW ONE PERSON IS NOT WITH THEM AND STILL CAN'T BE FORGOTTEN AND THIS WOULD RELATE TO THE FEELINGS OF PLUTO IF IT WERE A PERSON. YES NOW IT MAKES SENSE?💜👀
@@naddaditv3287 So basically Pluto was the 9th planet of our solar system. But due to its small size and a huge revolution course around the sun, it was exempted from our solar system and given the number 134340. Now even if it's not considered as a planet it is still revolving around the sun. So in the song BTS is personifying themselves as Pluto (like they have done with a previous song of theirs - Whalien 52). So consider the person they are talking to is the Sun, then the lyrics will make more sense. Like in RMs verse it says you(sun) might not love me anymore but I still orbit around you (talking about a failed relationship and the members still lingering in that past relationship). Then he talks about "you" liking Eris more (which btw is another dwarf planet slightly bigger than Pluto). So basically talking about the "you" finding someone better than the members and moving on while they are still stuck in the past. Read the lyrics properly and you will understand the song much better. Rap line really showed that they could literally personify any entity and make it into a song talking about their feelings. I hope I helped in making you understand this song a little bit.
I love the multiple existential crisis he had through the whole reaction 😂 I am glad the live had the reference clarified, too. This is a great song. ♡
OMG YES 134340 IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BTS SONGS, THANK YOU FOR REACTING TO IT 💗 Edit: I'm actually rly glad you read the lyrics, a lot of reactors just ignore the lyrics and it makes me so upset, so I'm glad you focused on the lyrics and tried to understand the meaning behind it, the story behind 134340 has to be one of my favorites amongst most of bts songs, and again thank you for your reactions! 💗
it’s so cute how excited you got when you finally understood the song!!! haha yes bts seem like they were really hurt by nasa’s decision of denouncing pluto lol, but yeah that’s how amazing lyricists they are! like who would get the idea of comparing pluto that’s no longer a planet yet continues to orbit the sun to a relationship where one person “is orbiting” the other and not getting the same amount of love back
That's prob Namjoon's "sexy brain" & IQ 148 working overtime! :D Also reminds me of that hapless interviewer mentioning they'd even written a song about "the planet Pluto" and Yoongi retorting in Korean that it wasn't a planet any more - the whole point of the song! Lol :D One of my fave BTS songs for sure - I love the whole vibe, esp the jazzy flute - I think it's a Tae kind of song!
this song is produced/composed by Suga the title is Pulto and since Pulto is not considered as a planet enymore Naza gives it the number134340 and it's a metaphor at how a person can be forgetten and change after a breakup.. Suga is so genius all his song's are deep...
this song's meaning is very deep and interesting! it's also vocally very pretty, so that's why people request it often. please react to "still with you" by jungkook, it's a song he released recently and it has beautiful vocals (no live performance but there's a short 20 seconds clip of him singing it live when he and suga did a voice-only live with fans ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ufU_yeRfJBA.html), and it'd also be great to see you react to "if i die it's you" by v and jin, live & audio!
Hi react to Bts Jamais Vu is Jungkook, J-Hope and Jin, there is a live version from there Bang Bang con live , or just the lyrics, but is moore amazing live
Yes i love hearing taehyungs voice singing this live because of the thickness in his voice it sounds so good when he does it and honestly sound better live then in the recorded version. I like their voices better live in general though. 💜
loll Adam, I loved when you realized when the song was about! (: Yes, lyrics are very important in bts songs, they change everything!! Please react to Still With You by Jungkook, and Stay Gold, which is their new Japanese song
Suga’s normal speaking voice has that vocal fry. He just usually talks like that😂 And if you look at the lyrics he’s “talking to someone” so he is using his normal speech to rap, hence you hear the vocal fry
134340 is the number given to pluto by NASA I guess after it was demoted from the status of the planet. It's actually pretty smart. BTS never chooses a bizarre song name. Every song name has a deep meaning. This song is from pluto's perspective. Fun fact: this is not even like a 'concert' concert this is an annual fan meeting event. :)
since training days, BTS' attitude in everything they do especially in their performance have been more than professional... it's their passion and sincerity that gives them the drive and determination to practice with more time than resting and sleeping to be able to give the perfection they want to present to thwir ARMYs that's why everything now becomes effortless to them when performing! for me, no one could sing their songs perfectly than themselves! despite having the voices of an angel of the vocal line... V has the deepest most soulful voice in KPop, Jungkook has the most soothing voice, Jimin has the most impactful voice while Jin has the most powerful voice hitting those high notes! BTS is the best! there's nothing like BTS!
I love this reaction, it's so happy and cute! Feels very sincere. The way he reenacted the comments he gets, and told us how he's losing it because he's been cooped up, made it more personal and fun too. I lol'ed so hard when he realized what the title meant and said "thaaat's whyyyyyyyy" XD
Can we all ask for Adam to listen to the BTS graduation 2020 live performance on youtube? Because they SLAYED those songs. They said "My mic is ON"!!!!
I love how you *still* remain professional but as time passes you show more personal interest in the song lyrics and bts themselves, and you show glimpses of your personality l, instead of just talking about their vocals 🥰
The Suga bit that you were talking about at around 5 minutes - I always had this feeling of being underwater and slowly coming up to the surface. It's probably my favorite part off the song just because it paints such a vivid picture for me.
Adam, please don't listen to anyone who tells you to change how you're doing your reactions. We know the unique value you have to offer, and it has nothing to do with just sitting there for four minutes and then saying, "That was great." 😂
i love the excitement you have when you find out what the title means and understand the lyrics references 😂 thats literally how armys feel when we figure out small details and the meaning behind them in bts lyrics and music videos haha
I really liked this reaction. Not only did it have your usual vocal critique, but you also delved into the lyrics and meaning of the song. Just makes everything more dynamic in my opinion! I'm not saying the vocal analysis part in itself is not enough, it just gets so much more fun and engaging this way!
Adam the part where you said you got comments saying you talk through most of the reaction 🥺 I love your reactions and have literally been watching ALL of them (which is pretty big considering I usually don’t keep up with reactors). I’ve been watching you ever since you just got into bts and were struggling to learn their names. one of the reasons why I love your reactions is cause you give a detailed analysis about the vocals and studio equipment, and even constructive criticism. Most reactors don’t really say much about the music, but you’re much more honest about what your listening to. AND THE FACT THAT YOU KNOW SUBTITLES EXIST 👏👏👏 anyways thank you for making these videos and I’ll keep supporting you in the future 😗✨
Suga used a lot of numbers for his first mixtape (small trivia). This album was released during 2018, when they had it hard (the start of it specifically), doubting if they should disband (i guess because of all the pressure and different life style that came fastly with their fame, which is talked about it in "Interlude: Shadow" or even "Sea") but after thinking a lot, they ended up signing another 7 years contract with the same company and came back stronger: 3 albums during a year time, and 2 more. Now we have On, Louder Than Bombs and We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal where they talk about not being afraid of the pain anymore /songs you should react to btw👀/ Your reactions are becoming funnier lol it's okay to pause, i learn a lot from you
Adam don't worry about the comments too much and just react like how you usually do, i have to admit some of us armys just love the boys so much that we can't be statisfied with any type of reactions 😂 but you're doing great so far
You have earned my respect, Adam. I subscribed to your channel before you even started reacting to BTS (thanks to a twenty one pilots reaction) and just seeing how they've gained your trust after each video has made me so happy. RU-vid is full of people making money out of BTS while being disrespectful and fake and this always makes us armys worried because we can't do much about it, but you've proved yourself not to be one of them. I see genuineness in you. I see how you pay attention to the lyrics, praise all members equally (even the rappers), how you notice the smallest things, how you never dismiss their hard work and even explain things/give tips and I can't thank you enough. I'm sorry if any army ever offended you in the comments, I apologise on behalf of them, some of us are just really sensitive. I'm looking forward to your next videos, Bangtan is going to be releasing a japanese and a korean album soon, so you will have lots of songs to analyse 💜
Adam, they are singing about Pluto, but a second meaning behind the song is a broken relationship that you are still in love with the person and you just circle around them in life, hoping that they will notice you and bring them back into your life! That’s how I interpret it!
Adam, if people want to listen to the song they can pull it up. The reason we come here is FOR your reaction. Stop as often as you need to, back it up and replay it. We have time 😜
I loved the reaction and how you put it "making a fool of yourself", because I saw more of you, your emotions and personal thoughts idk but I love that. Also you now understand struggles of Army's. Don't worry, we all were in this situation 😂 (btw being a BTS fan is making me learn so much new things, like about that planet and more, they're really educating us sometimes 😂)
Same same. I didn't understand this song at first bec I'm so poor in Science but very thankful to ARMYs for explaining the meaning of its title and the whole song 😊😊💜
"248 degrees below zero" seems to be a reference to absolute zero on the Celcius scale, although sources say absolute zero is a slightly different number. Absolute zero is a concept: the coldest temperature on any temperature scale, far below what we call freezing. Outer space is rather close to absolute zero. It is an apt way to describe the feelings of the singer - the cold feeling from rejection, and the perception of being frozen, unable to move, whether it's going back to the love relationship or going forward by letting go. The action of orbiting really only keeps the singer stuck looking at the person who used to love him, going in circles. When the two meet by chance, the singer sees "Eris" - the one recently given full status - is with her. Warm sounding greetings belie the fact the earlier relationship is frozen - dead. Eris is the planet that was discovered that called into question whetherther Pluto fit all the requirements to be called a planet, as it is larger than Pluto, and fulfills other criteria as well. "How am I not as good as that moon?" The question we ask when replaced by another. Pluto was a planet for a long time, but with new perceptions, it was seen to fall short, and now has no proper name. "Now I'm just a hard number to remember." This song is from the album Love Yourself - Tear.
Really enjoy these reactions and how they give insight the technique at the same time! Would love to watch you react to BTS's Arirang, the explanation and their performance at France KCon~
I am so happy you got the lyrics since it's so full of wonderful analogies. I appreciate your analysis of their vocals and postures that affect their performance. That's something almost no other reactors can bring to the table. Thank you!
