I love listening to voice coaches review Chris. As an American I feel we did a great disservice to him. I’m sorry but he was ten times the talent as the winner that year. I really want him picked up by America’s music. I listen to him all day for free on you tube, pandora, Spotify. It feels like I’m ripping him off. I want to buy his Cds, his t-shirts. I want to pay him back for the joy he brings me. How can we make this happen. This guy is a legend!

Hi, a swede here! Chris actually won Swedish Idol in 2017 so he's not as unknown or unsuccessful as the show made him out to be. He was always the clear favourite and no one was surprised he won the show. However, it was cool to see him on an international stage and we are all very proud of him. I do recommend checking out his recent cover of Billie Eilish's "Ocean eyes", it's quite beautiful.
Hello there my fellow Swede! I decided to write my answer to you in English , if there's anyone who don't understand Swedish that would care to read this... Obviously we all know here that he won (much deserved btw) Idol in 2017. He had actually done some audicions for the show before, (the earliest back in 2009, where he btw didn't make it past the 1st audicion) under his birthname, Christoffer Sjögren. But the "sobbing" story is true from when he grew up. He worked systembolaget,( Swedish liquor stote)also as a music teacher at one point, playing in small bars and so on. His success story began to rise after he became a contestant and eventually won the whole thing! 👍🇸🇪😃⭐🎵🎸🎶💯

A million people probably already commented on this already below, but on your first pause you commented on his accent in his speaking and his singing voice. As a Swedish person myself, I notice this so much. We have so many great Swedish singers who can sing perfectly pronounced English but struggle with it in speaking. I lived 10 years in the US myself, trying as hard as I possibly could just to avoid sounding like a Swedish chef imitation just to learn to blend in but you will always hear some Swedish accent. Except when singing. Haha.
Diana has the rarest voice at this age - contralto! On stage, she is not only a singer, but also a talented actress! Any of her songs performed on the project "You are Super" (Russia) is a mini performance!

It's not necessarily made up but they make it sound like he's a struggling underdog when he's already won a national talent show and not mentioning it it seems a bit dishonest, that's all.

Please Adam you really have to check out YOUR EYES TELL live by bts,it was composed by jungkook and was supposed to be in his mixtape but it was chosen by a director for a movie where a girl becomes blind and a guy stay still by her side even if she’s losing her sight that’s why the song and title is perfect for it.Its also a very emotional song with such good vocals ❤️

Stop it. His story is absolutely genuine. Sweden hasn't got so many citizens. About 10 millions. So if he lied it would be headlines about it. Swedes starts singing when they are born. It's a very hard competition to really make it. You can hear more from Chris at his "kitchen sessions". Otherwise you can checkout Zara Larsson "love me land", the video is awesome. If you want her without a-tone look at her performance on Skansen or in her garden. Live Chris though, very much.🇸🇪

Ok, hehe he do lie a little about his village. Its not that small its more like a smaller town. Even though they try to make television and that he allready gotten some fame in Sweden, the story is probably kinda close to the truth. Lindesberg isnt that big, and he had to go to Swedish idol to make it in sense. He did actually try out for Swedish Idol twice before the jury accepted him. They hated him the first time around. lol. Ok, maybe not hate... but the wasnt that impressed so to speak.

He's telling the truth and it's not 'staged'. I know, I live in the same province. The accent stuff is easy, for swedish people it's really easy peasy with english accents.

I think one reason you hear a clear swedish accent when he is speaking is because of the different speech melody swedish have from english... and that shines thru when speaking but not when singing..
Please react to Kpop-girl groups! I recommend Blackpink - Kill this love. You could watch the music video and then their live performance at coachella! They were the first k-pop group to perfom at Coachella and they are one of the most popular groups right now.
