It’s so refreshing to hear Christina hold long notes like the one she did at the end. I think she often doesn’t want to risk something going wrong so she riffs out of holding long notes.
No matter how many covers of this song are out there in any platforms, this song will always be for her. The power and the ability to emote is way too out of this world. She's indeed a legend.
I wholeheartedly agree. Her head voice is so angelic and poised. She is using too much chest and pushing a lot aka screaming a lot in the last few years. My favorite album of her still is Stripped as it showed off her head voice much more than the other albums.
The most incredible thing to me is how powerful and gritty her voice sounds, yet she's still able to perform runs, riffs, and switch registers with ease. She's so good.

Look, Xtina tends to REALLY oversing, especially when she sings live. I mean, sometimes she gets lost and doesn’t realize there’s an audience who is counting on her. BUT this 2020 rendition is FLAWLESS. It is essentially a VOCAL MASTER giving a MASTERCLASS in tone, depth, and power. Just WOW.
When I first saw this I felt that the original version was like your baby girl getting ready to go out into the world. This version is baby girl taking the world by storm with no apologies.

I know everyone's voice naturally deepens over time but she hasn't been able to sing most of the stuff from her first 2-3 albums THIS well in so many years. I'm grateful that she was able to do this as well as she did. I can hear some rasp in the higher and longer sustained notes but I understand cuz she's older now. Still, this is a lot like the Christina Aguilera of old. It's refreshing to hear this today and takes me back. Had such a huge crush on her back in the day too.

She’s one note down. D5 instead of E5, but her voice is much more mature and heavier than that tiny teenage soprano. So for her to hold that note now, even though it isn’t as high, is just as, if not more, impressive ☺️☺️
@@DereBear true. Hitting a lower note when your range matured/lowered is still impressive. Coz the amount of effort is still the same even though it's lower.
