Hi Missy, Haley grew up performing with her singing family, mom and dad. Jazz and 60's rock is her wheelhouse. She was on American Idol in 2011, the 10th season where she came in 3rd. Many believe she should have won. She has done quite well since with a few albums of originals and remakes. Lay It Down and Don't Know How To Love are 2 of many great originals. She also did the track of Elvis' Can't Help Falling In Love for a TV commercial in 2015 for Wrigley's Extra Gum that went viral. IMO the best vocalist on the planet. A new rising star who I compare to Haley is Angelina Jordan who is now 15 years old and has been performing on stage since winning Norway's Got Talent at 8 years old and performing a complete remake of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody on America's Got Talent that went viral last year. She has signed with Republic Records (UMG) and has released 2 originals but she just released a cover of Adele's All I Ask yesterday and it's making waves with reactors. Please check it out. This was honestly a really helpful video. I’m covering this song at my school and I’ve been looking for videos about what people like and don’t like about vocal performances especially those so versatile. I’m trying to find new ways to sing and different tones and placement and this was amazing. I’ve never had vocal training but like RU-vid is way more helpful than people think haha

Haley Reinhart is one of my favorite singers ever since American Idol. Her soulfulness and technique are incredible. If you haven't already you should also check out Angelina Jordan whose style is slightly different, but also incorporates jazz and soul into most of her music. She was raised on the classics. She's also only 15 years old but her professional career started when she was seven!
