A lot of professionals that reacted to the song were impressed with him going from head to chest voice live. And he's dancing. As others have said, his iheart radio live or the Times Square mini-concert are amazing watches for his live vocal abilities.
Yea, anyone one who actually sings knows how difficult it is to not only flip between head and chest voice, but to actually do it seamlessly and make it sound easy is SUPER difficult. As a “singer” back in the day, I can attest that it takes not only skill, but a LOT of practice and great technique. IMO it’s easier to belt than it is to flip from head to chest. When I got into BTS I immediately gravitated to JK’s vocals because he does some intricate things with his voice and makes it seem like it’s easy to do which it’s not AT ALL lol. I also started to pay attention to BTS’s background vocals and add libs which you can hear JK ALL OVER doing some really impressive things. I don’t think most people realize just how much singing he does on BTS’s tracks outside of his lead vocals. Buts it’s A LOT 😂💜💜💜💜 Thanks for the great reaction!
This!!!! I truly don’t think most people realize how much extra work he puts into every BTS song with background vocals, harmonies and adlibs. If you strip those away the sounds would be very plain and simple. You can see a bit of this when they showed us their recording process at the end of In The Soop when they were all recording the theme song for that show. Yoongi basically said everyone just do your part and Jungkook will take care of the rest and JK stayed after and Yoongi made sure to get JK input on what harmonies, etc. that JK wanted to add. So many people in the fandom take this for granted and don’t give him enough credit.

And then on top of that, he’s center in their routines more than anyone else which means he has to shift a lot more than the others when they change positions. I know I sound like a JK solo Stan but I promise I’m not. I don’t even think I have a bias. Because it changes depending on whose music I’m more focused on at that time 😂😂😂😂 But he is for sure a super talented and well rounded vocalist. I know some singers who don’t do backgrounds AT ALL
@@Snowjk6997when I first got into bts I didn’t pay attention to jungkook for a long time for like a year ..then in Fire era he was sick and didn’t perform then.. I realized how much of presence he had even if I never paid attention and him not being there it didn’t feel complete then when i finally started to pay attention I realized how much of hard work he put into performance that’s how he became my bias
..and he does this in his 3rd language that he isn't proficient in (first language is Korean, second is Japanese, and he is still learning English). His whole album, Golden, is in English. He learned the words and the pronunciations. Also, in an episode of Suchwita (Suga's talk show), Jung Kook said he recorded the entire album in a week, which Suga said is absolutely amazing. You should watch a live performance like on iHeart Radio with a Live Band, or the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, or when he shut down Times Square (TSX Live) and did 5 songs live with a huge crowd but only 30 minutes official notice.

You are new to our men of BTS. JK is my bias, has been since day 1. I highly recommend, as others gave stated, checking out his live performances of his Golden Album songs... actually ANYTHING live he EATS!
He’s been my bias since day one, too, and that will never change although I do love them all. I first saw “Run BTS” dance practice and my eyes just went to him the whole time. Then RIGHT after that I watched “ON Kinetic Manifesto”. So you can imagine. I was BLOWN WAY by all of them, but especially JK. And he’s not my bias for the same reasons that he is many people’s bias. Turns out I have a grandson 12 days younger than JK. :)
Nice reaction. JK is not fluent in English and worked very hard to make sure his enunciation was perfect for this album, which is entirely in English. Also, his backup dancers are well-known choreographers, some of whom have done choreo for BTS. If you like jazz, you would probably enjoy V’s tiny desk concert. (He’s in BTS too) Great sampling of a few songs from his album “Layover.” These guys have put out amazing music during their hiatus prior to doing their mandatory military service.

@@ryanmancini.official South Korea is still official at war with North Korea. Peace was made between the USA and China to end the Korean war but both Korean countries were not exactly asked.. You may have heard about "missle testing" in NK and well... Every ablebodied man needs to serve (with a very few exceptions). While the politicians kinda wound themselves around a decision if BTS has to go to with how much they bring in money and (political) recognition - they even made a law whose condition are so extreme that only BTS qualifies - which is why it is nicknamed the "BTS Law" - to delay them - the members always said they will serve. Jin is now about a year in service: a sergeant, teacher assistant and a "special warrior" and has to serve to the middle of June. A few months later J-Hope followed ("special warrior", teachers assistent and Corporal now). Suga - because of a shoulder injury - has gone into civil service - which is longer - and therefore while he did go in summer will be the last to leave in the middle of June of 2025. RM and V officially entered on the 11th of december and Jimin and Jungkook a day later. It is unknown which unit RM has entered in but it seems V has entered into a special mission unit. Jimin and JK have both visible tattoos - which excludes them from quiet a few programs - but they did decide to enter in a "friendship" unit where - for psychological reasons - 2 people of a certain age can serve together under certain conditions - they choose a border base - the same Jin was working at (politicians said that he is now working for the rest of his service outside of that camp because otherwise you know people are not supposed to meet in the military 🙄). So it isn't exactly voluntary - it is a duty. Since going when they have to it would delay the reunion of the group - Jin was born in 1992 and JK in 1997 - they decided to go together to reunite in 2025. We will still get new music (pre-recorded), documentaries and maybe finally the K-Drama "Youth". There is probably waiting a lot of new stuff awaiting for Army - and the members will post on IG on and of - so... If you want to laugh I'd try their variety show "Run BTS". It's always funny and interesting. 💜

The I heart radio, he immediately shows you his skills are NO joke. Many of us watched Jungkook grow up. Believe it or not he was an extremely shy kid. Early days he would practice his breath control on treadmills. All of BTS would sing on tread mills to gain different types of breath controls. Now, many other Kpop artists also practice on tread mills. This isn't singing but there was a dancing challenge called the, "Smoke Challenge." It's only about 20 seconds long, but it shows he can hang with anyone. He's a beast. I honestly believe his "Smoke Challenge." if not the BEST of all, was one of the Best. Those back dancers are very well known choregraphers/dancers themselves. It's rare to see them together dancing like this. Of course JK and all BTS members are incredible dancers.
You should watch one or more of his live vocals. I suggest iHeart (live band), but MCountdown, Audacy and the surprise live at Time Square are also good. Jung Kook is not fluent in English, but his debut album is all English. He’s basically daring Western radio and the music industry to ignore him. (That’s my opinion, not anything he has hinted at) Sadly he starts his military service tomorrow. He and Jimin are the last two. V and RM started today. And the other three have been in for a while. Jung Kook released a remix of this song with Usher and a remix of his song “3D” with Justin Timberlake. He also dropped a visualizer (basically a music video) of his song “Hate Me” yesterday and iHeart released a live of it yesterday. All of the BTS members have released solo work. And all of it is good, imo. You would probably love V’s Tiny Desk Concert Korea. It's nothing like Gospel music it's more 80s Brit bands where we had excellent voical bass and drums keyboard and brass instruments. He's done plenty live versions and he'll have been singing while dancing in the MV. They don't lip sync.
I'm 66 yrs. old ARMY fan of Jungkook and whole BTS as well.He's a prodigy when it comes to any genre given to him.A versatile one.Their fans now had increased a lot and many of them truly witness of how good Jungkook is when it comes to his vocals and God given amazing talents so do with his band mates.Well so sad that all of them are now in their military obligation as a Korean citizens.Do hope that they were all safe and healthy in their activities.
