My personal belief is that that line is a small "reminder" that Tuomas tries to hold on to. Not to get dragged into the darkness that life, struggles and feelings can be (and the hardship he has endured), and strive towards wellbeing, new experiences, and yeah.. adventures =)
The voice of an angel to badass rocker she sounds amazing in everything she sings , Voice is so pure , no manufacturered vibrato .Not to mention her control and power .Love this woman
my job is to deliver food. after my last delivery, on my way home, i put on the Tampere version of this song. This is one of Tuomas's favorite songs to play. Very fitting as the last song of the concert. Great reaction as always.
Floor perfected this. Great reaction too, your face looked so blissful with her vocals and energy of the band. You tube also has the "official live clip" put up by Nuclear Blast Records, not sure which one is best both are utterly perfect. Floor is seriously a goddess!
First, nice to see someone else react the way I do to Nightwish (lip sync, hand gestures and head movements...nice to know we all have that same reaction). Second, it sounds like Floor's song is so very true as everything she does if it is not original then her 2.0 version becomes the one you remember and want to hear especially LIVE. Great reaction and I loved the surprised looks several times during the song. This was the perfect ending to a magical night and Floor and the band looked like they could of gone on for more if they wanted to. We will await your reactions to Wembley Arena and Tampere concerts next!!
Floor adds to her vocals with outstanding facial expressions and overall gestures while Marco...damn...anyone else notice that he plays the bass guitar "rythmically" instead of "traditionally?"...awesome song and review 👍👍
Marco brings the thunder when needed but I think his tone is more complimentary to the guitar(s) than drums, a lot like Glenn Cornick or Felix Pappalardi.
@@MrFrikkenfrakken- Wow, haven't thought of/played any Jethro Tull in a bit...Thanks for mentioning Glenn and Felix, although I'm not familiar with Felix (for now) I soon will be 👍
Nice reaction. The last song from one of their best concert that makes them more recognized world wide. I'm glad Floor with Nightwish, they just perfect match.
Hi Elvann, this song is amazing, I've seen the video for years and gives me the same hype all the time! And, it was also fun to see how you enjoy the song... I was almost expecting you to sing along..have a great rest of vacations in Canada!!
Really like your reactions!! Keep em coming! I wish you'd react to The Poet and The Pendulum at Wembley or She is My Sin at Wacken. Both amazing songs and Floor is just fantastic there.
Poet and the Pendulum is coming this week!! She is my Sin could be in the next batch actually (I haven't yet made a filming schedule for when i'll be back to Finland) :D
I also liked the version from a few months before this with Alissa and Elize (and Tommy not having a clue of the lyrics and taking selfies) in Orlando, as end of the tour where floor started.
Nice reaction to the last song from their iconic live concert. By the way their Live from Buenos Aires DVD just released today and someone already put it on YT. I hope you did a reaction to some of it especially "Dead Poem's Boy", "10 Man Down" and "Come Cover Me" 👍
Thank youu! I was starting to change color at that point, and ended up on sort of turquoise-ish green XD But now I've died it again with a more permanent dye and they are electric purple!!
One of my favourite songs from Wacken 2013! Unfortunately this is a rip from the Blu-ray that runs at only 96% of actual speed, but has been pitch-corrected. The Dvd-version is ok. Later releases from Tampere, Wembley and now Buenos Aires doesn't have this issue on any format.
the entire live at wacken 2013 is amazing ;). But please, take a look at this great version: "The Poet And The Pendulum - Nightwish. HQ with lyrics. Live @ Wembley 2016". One of the best symphonic metal song !
Their energy is so intense. By reacting you probably are the only one who can work while listening to them. I find it impossible to have them as background music. Lucky you :-)
Nice to see how you're enjoying this music. At this moment you inspire me to be happy too. Thanks. My favorite song by them is 'seven days to the wolves' now. Very pretty. Like you, when smiling;)
After listening to this version, I dug out my Imaginearium album and listened to Anette's version. I realize that people like to dump on Anette, but she did a very good job on this album. Her rendition is quite good. I've always enjoyed the two Anette era albums and still do. Something did just occur to me though. When listening to the Anette albums and the later Tarja songs, the orchestra and choirs are very forward in the mix. They have taken a backseat with Floor on the EFMB album and apparently even more so with Human. Nature. It is as if Tuomas decided that given the versatility of Floor's voice, she can provide much of the range, dynamics and colour previously supplied by the orchestra and choirs. We can see that transition when we compare Anette's Storytime to Floor's version. Probably explains why Tuomas is always grinning like a Cheshire Cat, whenever Floor is singing.
"Last Ride" is a wonderful performance closer as a contrast to the pre-recorded orchestral outro music they have playing when they bow and whatnot. It's the music from the end of the Imaginaerum album, where all its prominent themes are compiled. But without that outro touch, i could see "Ghost Love Score" as an excellent finale. The thing about Floor is, her abilities to assume any style she wants to aside, she conveys an understanding of the lyrical content and fully communicates it in a way her predecessors couldn't, or wouldn't, do.
Loved it all...song , band, Floor, your reaction...the whole ''shabamm'' haha 🤗🤗😊🎶🎶🤘🤘🤟💞 What more can i say?...Another great one... Keep up the Superb job dear... (Owh, and you've got mail...well not only from me i bet...haha lol).
Yess! :D And thank you!! And yeah, I have so many things going on I haven't been able to check my mail fully quite yet!! :D And I've got a LOT of it to my biggest surprise!
Oh yeah, dear Elvann, this is the way how it's supposed to sound, I fully agree! Like with every song when Floor sings it... And when you said at the end, give me a like so I can see I should do more videos like that... just look at it, 284 likes right now and zero dislikes... enough said... :-)
Elvann - are you aware of Camille and Kennerly, a.k.a. The Harp Twins? Their harp covers of metal songs are fantastic - especially "One" by Metallica. It has to be seen to be believed. Can you do a reaction to it, please?
Actually yeah I do know them! ^^ I watched a couple of their videos! I have not planned to react to instrumental music or covers at this point in time but maybe eventually I can ^^
I can totally understand that. As someone with zero harp skills, I think it would be a hard thing to react to. To the layman, it sounded great but they aren’t very expressive. I can watch 2CELLOS doing something and marvel at how they headbang, not destroy the bow before the ends and they interact with each other through eye contact, etc..
6:14 You just nailed down both what I think most people feel about this song, and what Tuomas strived for it to be, in those 7 words :] This song is just pure hype and joy.
This song is one of my favourite Nightwish songs now. I listen to it almost everyday. It’s so uplifting. 5:35 - pretty sure that wasn’t in the original.
@@ElvannReacts I did indeed, Ive got smaller versions of Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden, and Ive got Snufkin :) I also have some of the books too, loved them since I was a kid :)
If you are fast (before it gets blocked) and don´t f.. it up, then you have one of the most amazing fan-singing experiences. Song is btw "I want my tears back", where Floor dances things out of herself.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XK8M8_3BDl4.html
Great way to end the show. EVERY_SINGLE_SONG of that show is worth the price of admission. Love that wide-eyed thing she does, in this case when she starts sing this song
The song provides the basis of the climactic scene in the Imaginaerum movie so it seems reasonable that there was at least a thought about the nature of the song fairly early on even if not precisely when it was written.
Wait...what no lipp sinking 🧐 Merde Yes lovely up beat song, from the start 👍 was that the air piano or you wanna become a Maestro 😁 or cause no sinking at least there is the chair dance 😎 I think it did...when written it was for ending the show 🤘 Well Thnx for this 1 😊 and till the next ...👊 That one point that draws me to Floor her versitality her diversity 👌
You know the Wacken performances all have a little special embelishment. Those lucky, lucky peolple... Please put Shaman Fairy Tale live on the list for reactions. If you loved this and Romanticide, you'll love it too. Discover the magic of the late André Matos, if you haven't already. Symphonic metal has an older brother, right? ;-)
If I hadn't been hopelessly in love with them before...Wacken 13 rouses up my inner 14 yr old, she staggers into walls, trips over chairs, flaps her hands and gibbers. I just can't trust her around breakable objects.
I understand that you don't want to watch anything else but the songs, but it seems to me that you're always in such a hurry to stop these videos before they end, the moment the music stops. One would think that because you're such a big Nightwish fan, you would like to watch them from the beginning to the end and enjoy the atmosphere as much as you can. Anyways, great reaction E.
