Yes, some songs later she sang Sleeping Sun, and it's beautifully performed. She's a beast.

If the technique is prorperly done even growling shouldn´t affect your voice. obv Floor is always a master class

@@GaboObando Yep, takes a bit practice to accomodate your throat (not really throat of course, the placement is much higher) to it so that you can still do clean singing after it. I have only kinda tried it (as I'm not going to need it regularily anyway) but I feel like it's already a lot easier.

I've gotten to where I can go back n forth from fry and clean, but my voice isn't accustomed to pushing more air for the fry, so when I go for louder volume it wears me out but doesn't hurt.

hahaha, it's singing happily, at random moments. We have NO idea why it's doing that! Sometimes it does in the middle of the night! It's like it doesn't want us to forget to do the vacuuming!

A surprisingly high number of reactors don't realize. The growls are kinda subdued under Marco's voice, so it's not super obvious.

Luiz Gustavo Yes I totally agree that it’s deceiving due to Marcos vocals. I don’t think people expect it’s Floor due to her vocal range at the higher end. I’ve seen a few reactions where people haven’t had a clue And are oblivious to Floors growls altogether. That’s why it’s awesome how Elvann noticed straight away. When you know Marco and his voice, Floor stands out immediately. 😊

The issue is that every moron and their brother requests a song like this from a reactor specifically with a message like: "React to "Yours is an Empty Hope"! FLOOR GROWLS!" or some other such bullshit. Like, just request the fucking song and let the reactors discover shit for themselves... Even in this video, @Elvann specifically mentions that she was expecting growls, because of the people requesting the song. She didn't expect as much, but she already knew Floor growled in the song. It's like requesting a fucking Jinjer song saying: "You have to listen to Jinjer - Pisces, the singer switches from clear, beautiful singing to death growls in the middle of the song!" You just fucking ruined the surprise when you explain it before hand. "You should watch Avengers - Infinity War. Sure, Thanos collects all the Infinity Stones at the end and with a single snap of his fingers disintegrates half the population of the world, including Spiderman, but it's still a good movie!" BTW, no mad at you, since you weren't spoiling anything, but you brought up an issue that gets me worked up.

Max Griswald 😂😂 love the avengers reference. Yes I get what you’re saying and have to agree with you! The reason for watching a reaction is to see the person truly react with honesty without any prior knowledge. Jinjer reactions for example, most like to see people’s faces when Tatiana switches up from her cleans to her gutteral growls. You kind of miss the point otherwise. 👍🏼

@@ElvannReacts I wouldn't give you this suggestion of next video to watch If not COMPLETELY into it too. But I really am, I've been listening to this new version in the car like 12 times today. It is so good. Yeah you know how to find it, their most recent newly released Live Video from Buenos Aires. You need to watch that. I don't even care if you react to it, just watch it. It is really heavy with extra heavy sauce on top of it. But I don't think you will mind at all.

After Forever had a male growler, she started doing it with Revamp. They weren't great in 2010 concerts, but consistently got better.

In After Forever she didn't do growls. She started that on the first tour with ReVamp.

Yes absolutely! I know that it's possible to achieve doing that without hurting yourself, I just think doing so in a way that doesn't hurt you is a whole mastery in itself that's very different from regular singing. It doesn't transpose instantaneously to all singers having a good training/technique. So getting to the point where you can pull both an amazing singing technique and growls that are healthy is impressive to me!

@@ElvannReacts I figured you knew that screaming, growling and distortion can be done heathily, I just saw an opportunity to give a bit more detail about the particular scream/growl/distortion techniques Floor was using.
