Soft belting...wow...soft but firm. I FINALLY heard someone who agrees and hears the same thing I have been saying all along; I just could not articulate it, not being a music student. Intelligent singing...love that phrase!!! I'm sure that's all deliberate on his part, but a lot of it has to do with his inherent talent.
Emma, as usual, a thoughtful an appreciative reaction. One almost has to search for a video that finds him singing in his natural voice. But, everything you expected him to possess after you have seen his famous performances, and more, is there when he just 'sings' as Marcelito. His natural timbre is so smooth and pleasing, and classical training or not, his control adds so much to his presentations. Incidentally, he has some remarkable albums on his personal website.
