The nodulous of her here are quite clear to hear, had shows that she reached more notes, but this live was televised and she always gets very insecure in these types shows
I'm glad that you actually take it to consideration that she does have nodules ! People forget or don't even know that she has that barrier from keeping her singing certain things freely, yet she still kills it everytime.
@@ahaquarius98 well...first of all her songwriting is INCREDIBLE!!!!She have much much MUCH better songs from all of them...and she still have the ability to convey the emotion of the song....and this is very important...and i am sorry but none of those singers tat yoou just said have that...they care more about the fame and less for the art of music and singing....
2 things 1. Generally : everybody's voice deteriorate by years 2. Specifically : her voice is weak, it's even easier compared to others to weaken. Her voice, even at the beginning of the career, changed every year. Still the best vocalist by far
I diden't know the whistles were live till you slowed down the video, And im AMAZED litterly doing whistles for 30 years with nodules and going high and low with her voice honestly she's a gift and such an underrated gem nowadays
Wael El i did some research and talked to my friend who can whistle sometimes lol Nodules wouldn’t really effect whistles they affect belting in chest voice/falsetto and holding notes out for a long time. My friend said it’s really hard for her to whistle when her throat is well primed and warmed up, and that she can sometimes hit them when her voice is worn out and tired. So the nodules actually help Mariah hit whistle notes
Ummmm she is 3 decades into her career and we don't care if this is live or not but I compliment her for even still trying to sing her hard songs ❤❤❤I really love how u are getting in the Groove Mariah 😍
Her voice is truly a phenomenon. Once in an interview, she said she can access the whistle notes sometimes *more easily* when she has a cold or her voice is acting up. I think the nodules have something to do with it. So I'm not at all surprised these whistles are live. Honestly, the whistles are probably the only reason she still performs that song--she knows she can show she's still got it.
Right! People wants her to sing like in 1993 but COME ON! She’s almost 50 years (we don’t know numbers...) so we can’t wait her to sing like when she was 24 😂 that’s IMPOSSIBLE but she still got THE VOICE
What gets me is people criticize her and she's almost 50 years years old and she can still sing way better than all the haters ever dreamed of singing i mean come yall look how many records she holds she proved herself a long time ago i love mimi ❤❤❤
This version of emotions with the intro is my favorite. I feel bad for Mariah everytime she has a subpar performance people always have something negative to say. Shes still the 🐐 even when she messes up. Even 20 years past her prime she still sounds amazing most of the time.
About nodules - they start as a soft tissue and get harder with time, making cord closure harder and harder and leading to swelling and other problems. I would like Mariah to never sing this song again. Even on her better days, it sounds super underwhelming without the high belts. There are tons of gems in her discography that suit her current voice much better or still sound good in lower key.
This isn’t the best emotions performance she has done in 2018. Please react to a 2018 Mariah Carey Vocal Range (preferably from a Channel chalked “MariahxLambily”) where it shows the best notes she hit
she did good, even though that's one of the worst Emotions performances of the year, her belts just weren't there that day. her performance in Taipei was way better. anyway i love your input❤️
Great video! I also feel like Mariah is one of the only artist people expect to sound the same as 28 years ago. People need to be fair with Mariah and understand that she’s human, not a machine.
Mariah singing all her lofe with nodules. and still sounding amazing to this day! people can be really mean sometimes. she still got it! she still can sing!
Mariah is like the amazing athlete, Michael Jordan. At one point MJ was past his prime but he was still far better than everyone else in the basket ball court. Same with Mariah. She is the ultimate vocal gymnast.
Those whistles were all live, actually. She often can do her whistles live because she still has that part of her vocal range due to the placement of her nodules. And when you slowed it down, you could hear how the vibrato on the whistle was natural, a bit choppy and flat at times, which confirms there was no correction done to it.
People have to remember that Mariah Carey has been belting it out like nobody’s business for more than 30 years...30 years! The fact that she can still deliver such amazing performances is a testament in itself...this performance gave me such emotions!! When she hit those whistles I transcended 🙌🙌 no matter what anyone says, there is and will never be another Mariah Carey, God only blessed us with her once 🙌💖👑 #MyQueen #SongbirdSupreme
I think she should get the surgery for the nodules. She’s already proved so much so even if she does lose her voice, she’s already left a path for so many singers now. It could make singing easier for her.
wow this was such an amazing reaction video! I love ur honesty and I love the fact that you played it back to prove it was live. Whistle notes come from a different register and sometimes when it comes out it sounds fake, it looks like somebody pressed play somewhere in a different dimension LOLOL! I can whistle and specially as a male, when we do it , it's like the notes came from mars, venus or something! LOLOL I would love for you to make a video as to why you think mariah doesn´t do surgery. I am a male singer and I had for a while a huge stomach problem in which I have suffered from severe reflux problems due to stress. The acid in my stomach used to burn my vocal chords while I was asleep! I developed polyps through that and I had them surgically removed via laser surgery here in Brazil. I used to be a recording artist up until 2013 so on and so forth. Anyway....I had surgery done and didn´t speak for a month! (jeez it was tough coz I can talk for days). When I sang for the first time after surgery it tickled so much it was horrible and the first time I sang I almost passed out. I was shaking like crazy. I wasn´t able to whistle right away, it took me about 2 years to be able to do it again. I had to do vocal training all over again and had to lean how to place my speaking voice all over again as well. It was tough. Of course I never had huge success like Mariah, but what do you think of the whole situation? I would love to get a video about nodules and how different they are in men and women. I had a polyp she has nodules....what are the effects of surgery in both situations? Bring it on.....it would be amazing if you could interview a doctor on your channel in regards to this. Super kiss....ur very likable! I enjoy ur videos. Big huge hug from brazil innit? (lol) I love when brits say innit! Not everybody says that, but it makes me smile when I hear it. I have spent a lot of time in the UK. Big huge huuuug from Brazil! Cheers!
Loved your review.. so objective , honest and respectful to her.. Im sure all lambs appreciate you are so well inform about the natural voice aging and her nodules...
This song was hard for her in her 20’s, she’s now almost 50 and is still a better singer than most pop singers of today. Anyone who knows anything about pop or pop culture knows that she is a skinny legend, I’m glad you acknowledged the reasons why her voice has deteriorated, rather than just slating her by saying she’s lost it and is now shit because she isn’t, deterioration is natural x the whistle notes were live, I love your videos!!
I love it when you do MARIAH. I suggest Emotions live at Amsterdam during Sweet S F Tour, she did an amazing impro at the beginning that night and she was super confident. Cheers from Buenos Aires Argentina
Love, I really adore your vids. Such a true musician and coach. It’s like you are coaching Ms Carey in person. You’re the kind voice teacher I use to love. Always there to say let’s sing it Dollie.
Our beautiful honest coach thank you once again for making this video for Mariah Carey!!!please please please make more videos with Mariah!!!pleaaaaaase!!!!!and may i say something?coach you have a pleasant voice...i mean i don't know how can i say it but your speaking voice is happy and optimistic voice...i like it :)
Wow ! This lady does her research 💖🤩💋 in her prime Mariah had 7 octaves now she has 5 which is more than any singer alive in the USA at the moment . She made Guinness world record book and was named the song bird supreme .
the thing about mariah is that her voice is not only mature but deteriorated.. i mean she is a lyric colatura soprano for godshake. so basically her voice naturally would be so bright and light but because it was damaged therefor she sounds so dark, hoarse and heavy that makes it somehow unpleasentable if she sang on higher octave because its not how her voice should actually sound.
Im not a vocal coach i know but i think in my opinion that getting vocal nodules removed is extremely risky and could destroy her voice forever but on the other hand, she could be singing like the late 90s and 2000s if the surgery is successful
Heck no, Julia Volkova from now ex russian group t.A.T.u had surgery done near her vocal cords and they were destroyed no longer can sing high notes and has a completely different voice
Love ur reactions! U Cldnt have said it better. She can still sing amAzing! Sure It’s not like it used to be cause her voice naturally deteriorates w age but she still can sing brilliantly
I like that you seem to do different songs than everyone else. Is there a master list the record company sends out? It seems everyone else reviews the same clip at exactly the same time. Please continue to keep the content original. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🥰
It's interesting with Mariah today, she'll sing songs like Emotions and Vision of Love, extremely hard songs to sing, 100% live. Yet she sings relatively easier songs, newer songs, more adapted to her voice now, not so live.
