Quarantine has been so beneficial for Mariah. Vocal rest and tranquility have really strengthened her voice and given her the confidence she lost because of all the scrutiny and criticism. She was on fire and totally feeling herself! I loved everything about this performance. I would pay to watch an all at home concert because when she's all in her element she kills it every time.
She definitely does look very relaxed, Mariah is well known to be very pedantic about hitting all her notes during a performance and looks tense onstage as a result. Her voice has aged like the finest of wines, shes a legend! I also reaaaally love her with darker hair too, Mariah is my Hero ❤️❤️❤️

Adored the creative changes to this song. MC is such a master when it comes to musical interpretive wit. Her improv skills are world class. Plus she was looking fly af with her darker hair, almost giving us Bianca vibes. My only issue is the vocals sound heavily edited in parts. I thought after the memoir she was comfortable to show imperfections, Mariah needs to know she's good enough
In recent acappella clips she’s uploaded, she sounds beyond incredible. The fact that she heavily compresses her vocals in production drives me insane. It ruins and changes the quality of her voice. It creates a tinny and thin like quality to them!

You probably haven't seen it but in a recent podcast Mariah actually talked about how covid has actually been helpful for her voice bc she hasn't been performing constantly, and this performance plus her hero/Joy to the world performance proves it.

Seriously this is the best I've heard her in a long long time even though to me she always sounds good, it's the whole style, the hair, the ensemble the band and backing vocals that just adds to the whole atmosphere! Mariah voice is truly magical … I love to hear the old Mariah back even though it’s prerecorded and she is miming , there are also enhancements on her vocals but who cares. After slaying on stage for all those years doing show after show of more or less impossible songs to sing( only Mariah can sing them) it’s no wonder at 51 her voice is not going to be the same as her young 19 year old self. I’m surprised she has a voice left with the strain she put on her vocals over the years … just want to say 👏👏👏👏 props to you xx
