Watching Hannah succumb to the bewitching powers of Aaron Tveit is something I’ve waited for forever. PLEASE watch more of his stuff! And more Schmigadoon!

Yeaaah Schmigadoon!! You need to see the whole show, the two seasons are sooooo good! The first one is so poppy, bubbly, full color and the musical numbers are so good! The cast is sooooo amazing, like Keegan Michael Key, Cecily Strong, Dove Cameron, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cummings, Ariana DeBose, Aaron Tveit, Jane Krakowski, etc... I can't name everyone but there are a lot of famous people who did Broadway! Plus the references in the songs, you can sometimes recognize some notes or some lyrics because it's meant for theater nerd!

I love Hannah so freaking much, but her not knowing who Aaron Tveit is broke my heart 😂😂

Aaron Tveit's character is an amalgamation of several leading men of the musicals during the golden age, most remarkable Billy Bigelow from Carousel.

It's a parody of the musical Brigadoon, that's all I really know and that it has other musicals referenced, as in the intro song referencing Oklahoma. Also the guy singing the first solo song is Aaron Tviet, massive musical star. Original Broadway Cristian in Moulin Rouge, he's played Fiyero in Wicked, Rent as an understudy and a main character, one of the main characters in Catch me if you can, One of the main characters in Next to Normal, he's been in Gossip Girl. He's Enjolras in the Les Mis movie and Danny in Grease Live and many other things.

The guy who sang with all that vibrato is Aaron Tveit. He played Enjolras in the Les Miserable movie!

7:17 that isn't Gershwin, it's Rodger's and Hammerstein "Carousel", it's from the song If I Loved You. His character is a parody of the male role in that musical. 💕

You’ve got so many more shows that will get referenced (Oklahoma!, Sound of Music, Music Man, etc.), more Broadway legends singing (more Cheno, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Ariana DeBose in a TAP number, Jane Krakowski), and more extremely catchy numbers. I can’t wait to see your reaction to the finale song in terms of the blending of theatre genres.

There are so many references to the Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals in these clips! "Somehow I can see just exactly how I'd be" is a line from "If I Loved You" from Carousel, and the whole dialogue lines about "Are you trying to get me to marry you? Then what's putting it into my head" is another Carousel Reference. The spelling out of the town name is like the title song from Oklahoma. The bridge in the forest to the town is like the scene from Brigadoon, which isn't Rodgers and Hammerstein, but still. This show seems so cool!

“and somehow I can see, just exactly how I’d be” is a direct quote, melody line and all, from Carousel’s If I Loved You

Schmigadoon is such a fun show! I’d love to see you to react to Season 2 as well; that season is centered around darker musicals from the 60s-70s (Chicago, Sweeney Todd, etc.).

I'm so happy you brought up Aaron Tveit's ability to come right out to bat with a vibrato; he's such a talented singer, I loved him in Les Mis! You can see his classical theatre training in how he can hold a vibrato immediately on a sustained note, but it's clear and concise, and such a delight to hear. Hannah, I'd love to see you react to the 2004 Phantom of the Opera with Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, Patrick Wilson, Minnie Driver, and more. I'd also love to see you react to the 2012 'movie' of Love Never Dies, POTO's sequel by ALW, with Ben Lewis, Anna O'Byrne, and Maria Mercedes. Another couple of classics to consider are OKLAHOMA! and Hello, Dolly! I saw Love Never Dies live in theatre here in one of our concert halls in OKC and it was an incredibly gorgeous show visually. The story was interesting to me, but I know it's one of those that has divided POTO fans everywhere (similar to 'who's the best phantom' debates). Can't wait to see more from you, I love watching your stuff!

Yes, more reactions please. This is one of my favorite shows, filled with broadway musical theater nerds FOR broadway musical nerds. This shows pays homage to its musical roots with loving and gentle mockery. It’s phenom! Also, you will come across some good ol’ fashioned misogyny reminiscent of Seven Brides, but I still couldn’t stop myself from laughing. And Aaron Tveit… * sigh * … perfection.
