Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) miss the magic they felt in Schmigadoon and in an attempt to return, find themselves in Schmicago-the reimagined world of ’60s and ’70s musicals. Right!? The two leads are moving heaven and earth to get Dove to confront her deeply unfathomably childhood trauma… and Dove herself is mostly just excited that there are a lot of colors and noises. 🤣 Just phenomenal character work.

I was just thinking, there are some very silly, clever lyrics but Dove Cameron's vacuous, oblivious enjoyment of it all may be the best part.

Wow. They really went full Fosse on this one. I think the only thing they could have done to make is more Fosse was add Liza herself. Or possibly Shirley McLaine.

It's a shame that Apple cancelled this series after two Seasons. I keep on watching it and I think Paul Cinco is a real genius. A treat for all lovers of Musicals.
