Okay, while I appreciate that Beyonce can sing, I've never thought much of her. She has half of her head sucked into a fan and she's still singing while people are trying to get her out. I get why she's called Queen B now.
When Pink fell, she was hospitalized and had to stop moving during her shows, they were only singing, because she got seriously injured. And Katy Perry was done on purpose, as a comedy sketch.
I love how kind you are. You have to be one of the most pleasant people (especially in the world of singing/vocal artistry) that I have ever seen. I miss lessons/coaching since I graduated with my music degree. I would feel so comfortable learning from a teacher like you. I've never heard someone assess mistakes with such kindness and empathy. (including actual technical/artistic mistakes).
For Mariah, it was during the "snake era" her manager was awful and almost ruined her credibility even her career. She was just taking advantage of her money and power. And during that time she was in a very bad place and her voice in very bad conditions, she seemed always drunk and ( probably doing drugs too) , you can actually see that a little in her TV reality show. Also there was her bipoloraty disorder that she spoke about later. So that's why. Because there's a video on Mariahxlambily showing how she has always handled very well stages problems like those ones during all her career. So yes she could have handled this one very well too. But she wasn't herself at all at this time. Like she called it " the rocky road ". But well she's in a very good place now😊☀️
@Francisco Delgado The lambily were not mad at all, watch the concert. There were so many good live moments, she looked and sounded relaxed and happy, and the lambs were laughing so hard and having so much fun watching Mariah throwing jokes and acting silly. It was a good night :D

@@the.chocolatefactory P!nk was dragged across the stage because only one half of her apparatus was attached to her belt. She was in terrible pain, and was taken to the hospital. There was no way she could have kept singing in the middle of that. If this woman, who can sing upside down while spinning and flying through the air could not sing, you know there was a problem!

I think Mariah Carey here is drank in the first video and in the second video she cant hear anything she is wearing earpiece and she have a interview about what is the reason

Mariah was high as hell during that first clip. She could not hear herself during half of that song. The rest of the show was pretty good. Same with the second performance. There was too many very VERY loud speakers. In a video recorded by one of the fans in the audience we can hear that some speakers were playing the song like a broken cd, other parts had too much echo. So she couldn't even hear the right part of the song on the stage. The saddest part is she still suffering from that episode. She's extremely afraid to perform in front of cameras. We can always hear how nervous she is.
Doesn't she do soundchecks to identify problems like this before it goes live? It just seems unprofessional all around, especially the fact that she was high.
@@lavenderbee3611 Girl, technical problems happen ALL THE TIME with every artist. About her getting high: she still did the show. The audience was living. Not very professional but she did the gig LOVELY.
@@lavenderbee3611 Have u been on stage? I am sure not a huge stage like MC. But even with 10 sessions of rehearsal, if your ear monitor is not okay, it's not okay. Singer and dancer are diff.
@@jacqualinemc7122 technology is also not perfect. Like I said before, EVERYBODY HAS PROBLEMS LIKE THIS. Her monitor came back seconds after this clip ended. It happens. Yes I have been on stage several times.
It infuriates me when you pay BIG money to see someone singing live and they lip-sync! Why not stay at home, save your money and listen to their CDs? Don't know why they bother showing up.....it's CHEATING!
I can forgive some lip-syncing if they’ve gone all out on other aspects of the show (like Britney Spears does) or if they’re on a long tour and don’t want to damage their voice by overusing it. I never understand why Mariah does it though.😩
Sanbika “never understand why Mariah does it..” Do you even know about Mariah’s unique/fragile voice due to nodules that can harden/swell up from time to time? Atleast she records new playback tracks and doesn’t lip to the studio versions. It’s kinda necessary for Mariah to lower the key and to lip the climax of her most vocally demanding songs. I hate that most people are stuck on the Rockefeller 2014 (when literally a week later, she sounded phenomenal on her AIWFCIY Tour opening night) /NYE 2016 fiascos (a year later she sang 100% live in -15 F degree weather and sounded amazing). People need to watch her 2018-2020 performances (Caution World Tour and Asia Tour specifically) to see that she still has her 5 octave vocal range and can sound very similar to her “past voice”. She never lost her voice, she just lost some ease/agility and her tone changes frequently. I just feel like she doesn’t get the recognition and respect that she deserves as a legend/ *member of the vocal trinity* /the songbird supreme. (don’t mean to sound aggressive, just ranting loll)
@@Sanbika89 P!NK goes all out and still sings live. That’s no excuse. A concert should be about the MUSIC. People paid to hear her sing LIVE. Not a musical show. If she has to pick one or the other, it should be singing. Of course, if you can do both, why the hell not?

The Mariah thing in new year's eve was due to her missing her in-ears, so the track, the backing track was audible for the dancers to dance, but she didn't have her ears to hear her own voice, and didn't have regular voice monitors, all she could hear was the feedback from the main speakers, which you know are always delayed and a nightmare to try to sing to... her back-up singers weren't on stage with her either, they were placed somewhere else, so she had nowhere to turn... that was awful for her! and she was so vilified by the incident, nobody understood what really went on...
Mariah could hear herself fine. The problem was that the backing track with her pre-recorded vocals didn’t play. Most of Mariah’s performances now include pre recorded vocals due to how much her voice has deteriorated.
In Mariah’s defense, the dancer only need to hear the beat and they know the tempo so they carry on knowing the tempo and how the steps go, but with singing she needed to hear the notes, at least the key and specially hear herself on top of all that people screaming! I heard the audience footage and it was a weird sound, seems like it had a reverb on the track, it was not well done, totally not her fault. At least she came back the other year and sang live in the freezing cold!
Next year she sang completely live in that freezing cold, I wish more people knew about that. People always look at an artists worst moments instead of their bests

Noo... Have you seen the Jamaica concert? She was high there and was not singing the original song but was 'improvising'... For Fantasy, the original song was used as a background music while she improvises but her mic went on and off... Notice how her mouth is not following the original song.... It was so unfair because she was serving vocals that night

Have you not watched her review of his live performances? She admitted that he really was a great singer with natural talent. & every clip she watched and reviewed was live or acapella. While not learning the words to that song was a shit thing to do, you are mistaken in saying he only lip syncs in the "few" live performances he's done. He does live shows all the time.
I thought it was a go to when it wasn't a call and response. I've seen many singers just point the microphone toward the audience and the audience just continues the song.
They are still human, imperfect and often make wrong choices sometimes, but the good thing is they are trying to give their best to the word entertainment. 😀Peace everyone. #justsayin

@ivanchu0509 whistles are a little different and I would also point out that those instances are one of the reasons why when she DOES have the track, she does her beautiful harmonies and ad-libs. Most of the other people using the tracks are just straight up average singers who struggle with putting all aspects of the performance together. I think her Broadway experience is a big contributor to her ability to fully perform and if she hadn't been so traumatized she would be able to put on even more amazing shows.
On the first Mariah’s clip, she was super high and confident. She sang and improvised live over pre-record tracks. She was like composing new melody on We Belong Together and My all at that night but the sound engineer just cut her off with pre-records.
You should definetly react to Taylor Swifts BBC radio 1 live lounge session 2019. It was absolutely amazing, her vocals were on point. She does a acoustic version of her song london boy, The lover, The archer, Can't stop loving you cover, Holy ground acoustic and you need to come down.
The reason Ariana can do that is because she was performing to a very small audience and she wasn’t very well know back then so it’s not like she performing at some huge arena

zachisdiabetic John legend & came out & said that they don’t have the proper equipment on the floats to sing live. For some reason everyone always seems to be off when they’re lip syncing on those floats lol
I don't understand these celebrity singers and their management teams. In the event a number suddenly goes to pot, you should be in a position to say, "Stop! Just stop," and move into singing acapella right there on the spot. That means never letting your voice get out of shape and reviewing your music so you're confident you know it by heart. Your raw talent should always be available to you.
I guess mariah said that her ear monitors weren't working and she couldnt hear. The crowd screaming, and noise from the square in general she said without her ear monitors working she couldnt tell if she was on key and didnt want to sing it out of key and make it worse. I understand her frustration there.
I feel bad for Justin, people still hate on him even when he is joking around because of his 2014 bad boy phase. 5:16 Mariah was a lil “happy” if you know what I mean during the whole concert. She ditched the lip syncing and was one of the most confident and free performances she done in the 10s instead of looking a lil stiff.

The first Mariah clip was during a jamaica concert I believe and she was high, she ditched lip syncing in other songs she did that day. She kinda gained confidence and was running and up and down the stage and was just so relaxed and Great vocals. The second it was the malfunction of her earpiece. She said during rehearsals her earpiece wasn’t working. She could have still sung but she couldn’t hear threw the crowds noice and cmon all the noise in nyc and in New Years plus she missed her part so she didn’t know where she was at.
