She somehow did once, she has a song duet with David Hasselhof the star of Baywatch, the song title is "More than words can say" it was shot in the L.A.
When she was very young she really had the chance. She flies to New York, coz got an agent and will debut her in Hollywood. But she chose to go home, coz she prioritized her family..

I admit to downloading this off of RU-vid a year or so ago, burning it to a CD, and binging it in my car for months! When she hits minute 4:48 I'm a freakin gonner everytime! I want to scream, cry ,everything there! I personally am not looking for sterile perfection in a performance (yes good techniqe and intonation is essential ) what I am looking for is simply to make me FEEL! She does that here and I adore this performance! Congratulations Tania on 100k well deserved!
Wow, that's what Regine said in a singing competition she is hosting recently where she told one of the contestants that it's always important to arrange the crescendo very well starting from a low register note, putting emphasis and volume to the mid part and finally, ending it with an explosive barrage of playful high notes with pure consistency, idk if that's exactly what she said but I remember she told her that it's a technique she's been doing for years esp when singing challenging ballads :D
Let me just emphasize that Regine is not using any earpiece. That’s how musically gifted she is.. She has a very sharp ears.. She is in a big venue with large crowd. Imagine how she nailed the songs with all the noise, the band and the crowd.
Congratulations!!! 100K 👍🏻. I can’t believe you haven’t reacted to this video. I have the same sentiments about how Regine handled this masterpiece. What separates Regine from other artist is her control. From her amazing low register mid-song to her high belt at the later part of the song, to her crescendo, from her soft feminine start to her solid aggressive attacks at the end. She knows how to take her time. I agree about some singer just belting from the beginning to end (One good example is So-young 😜), listening to someone belting or hitting high notes is just part of being a singer. Using your low register, control, and tonality are far important and what separates an excellent singer from good singers. Regine is the best all around. 👍🏻
i remember watching Regine back when she was just starting to get famous. i remember her performed at Robinsons Ermita. her voice echoed and the mall vibrated coz her voice was so powerful.
Watched her live back in the day, damn she is soooo good. I am not even a fan of her music but damn I became one, huge respect to Regine. Thank you Tania for insightful analysis and p tips.
Great observations and commentary as always coach Tania. Ah, the classic Regine rendition, arrangement specifically for her by the great Louie Ocampo. Every time someone sings this song in the Philippines, it is inevitably sung in this arrangement. Normally she goes high in the last part where she sings "I" in "And maybe then I know" but she held back because she wasn't in ideal condition. When she sang this in Toronto a few years ago, standing up and feeling fine, she was just absolutely incredible. I've seen her sing this song with such ease that it looked like she was thinking about what to cook for dinner XD . My goodness did we ever take her a bit for granted back in the day.
WHOAAA!!!! What a Brilliant, Jaw Dropping Performance!!! She was even sitting while belting the song... SHE NEVER FAILS TO AMAZE HER LISTENERS EVERYTIME SHE PERFORMS... REGINE... AN ACE SINGER!!! CONGRATULATIONS, btw COACH TANIA.. Loved your Reactions and Insights regarding Regine's performance... 💕💕💕🇵🇭
Yes but she was told to twice to change her nationality, first to cater Asian and second to American listeners and audiences, and she both declined the two different offers because she is proud of her roots and family!
I think you will appreciate more of this performance if you will hear the original version of Sammy Davis (the original version of What kind of fool am I) the arrangement of the song by Louie Ocampo (the guy on the piano) brought up the emotions which are essential and more complimentary in our music generation era of today. Regine adds up more to the emotions and if you will notice how she sang it was phenomenal that is why she is known as the Asia's song bird, she started it all!
Congratulation on 100k.. I'm glad you finally reacted to this performance of Regine Velasquez.. Thank you... You must also react to her performance of the song "where do I begin" thanks again...

I was a part of this orchestra and as a musician, it is so inspiring to play and give meaning to the song, especially when the singer is as good as Regine Velasquez (Ve-las-kez). If you notice she was seating which proves that she has a good control of her lungs. She's just so good.

Hello Ms Tania, just subscribed to your channel. Just want to share that in the Philippines kareoke is a way of like releasing stress and most of the songs filipino sing are classic songs, ballads. I guess because of the influences as well. If ever you visited the Philippines you will notice tons of kareoke bars, on the streets and in residents. Anyway, thank you for sharing your reactions I enjoyed all of it.
👍You can also watch and reacts her same song that much higher and effortless than this. It’s also an epic performance. >>>> [RESTORED & REMASTERED] - What Kind Of Fool Am I | REGINE VELASQUEZ (SOP)
You should have listened to her version of this from her One Night With Regine Concert. She slayed that better, she was sick in this one, but nonetheless, she was marvelous on this one.
100K subs Congratulations ms tania levy thanks for watching the Queen RVA love it!!! I hope you can react to her Love Story where do I begin thanks you and God bless...more subs to come...😍😍😍😍😘
OMG is all I can say Tania. Regine has a bagpipe that never quit. Not only she can sing, she is an outstanding actress also, so keep up an amazing job. God bless.
I hope you can also react to Regine’s successor and currently the highest paid performer in the country named SARAH GERONIMO singing I BELIEVE I CAN FLY. Thank you!
hi tania.. i just want you to know that the correct pronounciation of her lastname is velaskez..in the philippines we pronounce most of the word that has QUE as Ke.. just like Quezon.. instead of kwezon.. we pronounce it as kezon.. i just want you to know.. but anyways thank you so much for supporting our filipino artists..
I can see how good teacher you are. 😘😘 can you teach your students some Regine Velasquez song? I'm pretty sure I will become viral here in the Philippines! Thank you in advance. Mwah
May i invite you to listen and critique Regine Velasquez singing Windmills of your Mind duet with the great composer of the song Michel Legrand. She was so privileged to sing with one of the brilliant masters at the early part of her career.
