This makes SOOO much more sense as our reaction will show our confusion as to what was happening in the video towards the end lol. However, the video was still done well and the clips used were beautiful :) Not to mention - the some is AWESOME, which is what counts.

I just love how BTS in this song are basically saying: Army, you have treated and loved us so well, now treat yourselves the same way you have treated us and you‘ll be fine, just love yourself 💜
That's it exactly, and brings such tears to my eyes. They're making us promise to believe in ourselves as much as we believe in them. This song really does save lives 💜
Magic Shop, basically, is a psychodramatic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude. The song is based on Dr James Doty's book "Into the Magic Shop " : a type of psychotherapy where a therapist takes on the role of a magic shop owner (it comes from a series of children fantasy novels Magic shop by Bruce Coville) who attempts to barter with “customers” in an attempt to satisfy their needs and wants in a constructive way. When you walk into the magic shop, you may ask for anything or try to sell what you don’t want. Everything comes at a price though. What you come in looking for isn’t always what you leave. A few of the lyrics of Magic Shop talk about how the boys want to replace ARMYs “sadness and pain” for “comfort”, much like the way the psychologist/therapist acts as the shopkeeper to exchange one thing for another. It's the second "offical fan song" after 2!3! , the first JK took a lead in writing and producing, besides RM, Hiss, Adora, J Hope,Suga and others. Song by BTS for Army, to comfort them, and also a promise : BTS will always be there for Army. It's one of my favorite BTS comfort song, (with Serendipity and Zéro o' clock)
I'm 40 years old but when i need a reset or am feeling a bit down this BTS song and Zero O'clock is one of many other songs I listen to. No matter your age or disposition BTS always know how to provide comfort.
I love how the comfort songs are a little different, too. This one makes us promise to believe in ourselves, to love ourselves. Zero O'Clock is about how each day is a new chance for things to be better. And they're generally like that - not just "cheer up" but things with substance. Mikrokosmos is about how beautiful we all are together, how we can light up any night. For me, that one is a comfort song too - I always think of it paired with Magic Shop. 💜
This is a comfort song for the ARMY and an encouragement too. It's like BTS challenge to all of us " you give me the best of me so you give you the best of you... show me" which ARMY replied I'll show you.

True TMI Story: Last month I had a painful & scary medical test with a tube down my throat & I had to keep sipping water at designated times to evaluate my swallowing. I was in a total state of panic, because it hurt & my body wanted to expel the tube that shouldn't be there, so my gag reflex kicked into overdrive & I had to keep myself from throwing up because we needed the test results & if she removed the tube, we had to start all over. My eyes were tearing. I was trying not to throw up. Trying to breathe. Trying to swallow the sips of water on cue, so she could record them. Meanwhile trying to calm my mind & body & I was scrambling frantically mentally trying to sing BTS lyrics in my head, so I could have something familiar & comforting to focus on. Even though I know many lyrics & BTS songs & sing them all the time, the ONLY lyrics that I could grasp in my panicky state were "So show me, I'll show you, so show me, I'll show you." It became my mantra for those terrible moments & helped me settle down enough to complete the test. I' ve never been so grateful for an earworm in my life. 💜

Love Magic Shop. How many artists out there have such a truly deep connection with their fans, that they consistently write songs to help ARMY and the members find happiness within themselves. It’s just so sincere, as you can always tell when an artist feels the song that they are singing, esp. live. I always prefer live as well, as even their mistakes are just so endearing. They don’t need to be perfect vocally, although they get upset when they can’t perform as they feel they should. They just make me happy just seeing them. I would love to see you react to the video of Jimins songs Rebirth and Slow Dance. It is really amazing from his new album, and if you get a chance watch the behind the scenes video as well. Magic Shop is a masterpiece written/produced by JK. The beginning of my BTS experience. I didn’t know BTS before it just pop up in my feed and oh boy the start of digging the rabbit hole and I’m stuck since then. You guys are the best love your energy and your warm smile. Example Nr. 7777 that BTS is better experienced live :) Now imagine back when this tour was online we didn't have the paid concert live streams with great quality. So army's in the stadium audience streamed the concerts live for other armys around the world with their phones with a wopping 144p quality. These videos sometimes got more than 100k watchers while they were livestreamed. I was one of the people that will be forever greatful for those streamers because they allowed us to experience these songs and the beautiful mix of army's and BTS' voices even from the other side of the world. I cried so much watching my first concert stream in 144p...could only see them blurry but it was still better than anything else I ever experienced. In the middle of the night right before going to work ;)
I’m so glad you watched them singing this live so you got to hear the call and response. Jungkook has been known to launch into that when leaving the stage and of course ARMY answer back on cue. The Fifth Muster is based around The Magic Shop and contains a wonderful sketch where a sad Jungkook goes to the Magic Shop to get help and encounters a very flirty shopkeeper played by Jimin who sends him into see each member who each has their own solution to his problems yet none of them work. Eventually finding the shoes he wore in the early days gets him back on track. They sometimes hold a Muster which is a special fan event around the time of their debut anniversary which is also known as Festa. J-Hope has said that they listen to the guide which is usually sung by Jungkook then they decide amongst themselves who will sing which parts. Some fans complain when they think that a member might be being short changed with the amount of lines he has but they decide so it is little to nothing to do with their producers.
What's really awesome with BTS voices is that they all have their own distinct hues and texture vocally and not only the vocal line but the rap line too. Those vocal textures really make them able to experiment with songs and put out incredible sounds. They shared before that they each sing the whole song and then decide which part goes to who based on that -- that's how they determine whose vocal best suits a part and a combination too. Their background vocals are a song in its own too, they take their craft seriously because they all have common love for music.
Watching you appreciate their live vocals is so fun - you notice their choices and I don't know if you realize how often you give little nods of approval 😂 This song is really meant to be live, so the audience can play their part. I love it - it's such a beautiful gift of a song. It saves lives, even. Can you imagine the power of, from the middle of a crowd of thousands of people, promising BTS that you'll show them what a beautiful person you can be? Promising to believe in and love yourself, at the top of your lungs, to give something back to these men who have given us so much. It genuinely changes people's lives, that moment. We believe in them, they believe in us, and everyone is their own beautiful galaxy. 💜
Magic Shop will always be a legendary and special song for ARMYs. But actually, my non-ARMY friend cried when she heard and read the lyrics of this song. 💜🥹
You absolutely need to listen to Stigma. Would love to see you react to V's full voice range. Its one song that really highlights his vocal range and vocal abilities. This is the song that made the world and fandom realize just how good his voice really is. He is overlooked as he does not often have the big notes in BTS songs especially in early days. Great reaction as Magic Shop is a favorite. JK knows how to write songs to Army.

Have you listened to Jimin's new songs? He said in an behind the scenes that he was told he was singing in an unhealthy manner and so has changed the way the produces his tone. I definitely hear a difference. It would be interesting to see how you hear what is happening with his voice.
hm, would be interesting, but I think also difficult, because the new album also has a lot of autotune. I‘m not sure if it is possible to here the change?
@@JackInTheBox0294 I can understand you, sometimes, I just wanna here an artists pure voice. But from a production standpoint, sometimes I also love when autotune is used really well. For me, it depends a bit on the song. For Jimin‘s album, I would also have appreciated a little less autotune, but it is his choice and it sets a specific tone for the album. So I will take what I can get :)
@@MrEQuecky yes, me too. Their producers put autotune in songs and make good sound tracks with autotune sometimes. For example: ON, Dionysus, DNA, Outro:Tear, Butter, Dynamite, Black Swan. But at that time their producers made awful sound songs for jimin. They used so much autotune, although it is not needed.
I really think it's time fir you to make a reaction video to another album from BTS, my recommendation is Wings, this is for many armys the best album of their career so far. 😊

<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="948">15:48</a> ish : its understandable - because Hobi was only a dancer, he didn't originally know how to rap (I know you guys know this part but I'm just giving a refresher before i get to my point lol), Namjoon & yoongi would be rapping and battling in the dorms. Hobi once said "they were always rapping and I couldn't just stand there I naturally had to join in" or something to that effect. The point is, because he learned from those 2, he incorporates elements of both of their styles when he raps. I've gotten yoongi & Hobi confused before too, mostly in songs I don't listen to daily. So don't feel bad! It makes sense when you really think about it. 😊 💜

The other thing you don't generally hear on the recording, that you DO hear live, is ARMY.💜 The interactive element of this song is REALLY something special.

Here's a suggestion for future BTS reacts -- "Life Goes On" by BTS (has official MV) and "Life Goes On" by AgustD (no official MV)... I bet you will find this very interesting if/when you get to see it back to back. AgustD's version is one that he submitted for the BTS version but didn't make the cut. The best live version of LGO by BTS is the one in MTV Unplugged. AgustD's live version was during his D-Day Tour.

I get scenes from a fan made video can fascinate the eyes of a person not deeply immersed in BTS material. However, when virtually all the clips used are intimately connected to well-known landmarks on a BTS journey, much of it for me was "good lord what loosely cobbled together intellectual theft being monetized in the guise of love ". I guess Magic Shop is a fan service track, but as even you picked up, the final scene lifted from Suga's Shadow was so misplaced as to belie the song's messaging. Magic Shop is a beautiful work which fortunately transcends all so hopefully the purity of the ARMY/ BTS relationship seen in the live will be your lasting memory, not the collage of images which are best left as eye candy in the context they were released.
Thank you for reacting to one of ARMYs' most dear and cherished songs. I'd say to check out Jimin's new song ''Who'' from his new album ''Muse''. It is an amazing song. But if you check the MV, please please do check out his performance in Jimmy Fallon, his live vocals, even though they always have been great, here, they are beyond great.
these fan made video's with proper caption are still much appreciated for reactions as long you know theyre fanmade because besides live performances majority of bts songs don't have music videos so itll be difficult using live performances with more risk of block or lyric videos with risk of wrong translations fan made videos are sometimes good visually but mainly good for lyrics being correct. so hope you use this in future videos if you dont see a music video on hybe labels or bangtantv, 1thek, btsworldofficial, universal japan etc those are the main official channels with bts music videos but if its a song without, fan made is a good backup plan as long they have translations for the lyrics. :)
