I think another vocal coach reacted to Josh and she thinks he really intentionally pinches his voice for whatever reason. She thinks it is his personal choice after she studied a lot of their songs.
I really admire REAL vocal coaches/ reactors who react to sb19 and who know how to handle or explain some flaws on some of their performances. Because they don't criticize, they coach. That's why thank you sir for yur nice reaction ❤️
this is the first reactor I saw that analyze their performance. And he's not "mean" about it. I love SB19 and is "officially" an A'TIN but I still think that they still have to work on their vocals Not their fault thou, I started stanning after I got addicted to a country acapella group (Home Free) and they have a better sound as they been doing it for many years now and have "different" training. This is why Im excited about #SB19 coz I know that there's a lot more to look forward to.

The first guy who sang really has that deep husky voice. That's really his tone. SB19 do have good vocals. You should hear their upbeat songs to see how they handle singing while dancing. Btw, they always sing live. Try their song Love Goes.

Im proud to say that Sejun did all the arrangements in this song and even added the rap verse which was so gooood. You should watch their live performances of their dance songs cause even if it is live they still harmonize while dancing. I really love your reaction, more SB19 please.
8:14 fun fact! The guy wearing the brown jacket (the very first guy who raps) is the leader and he wrote this arrangement! His name is Sejun and this ballad originally didn’t have a rap section. The original artist of this ballad is Michael Pangilinan and he’s a really famous singer in the Philippines. He’s actually one of the favorite singers of Justin (the youngest member wearing the white shirt furthest on the right)
The 1st artist, Ken, it's his normal voice. The 4th artist, Josh, is originally a rapper but really can carry a tune. And he's sick that time. It's really live that time. 😊
They are all Filipinos, they are just trained in a Korean way specially in a choreography basis obviously they are promoting OPM music. Josh is the one you're talking about who is pushing his voice, actually he is the main rapper he is damn good in rapping, but he is now working through his voice since many criticize it (in a good way). Then Ken, he is the one you like, he's voice is just the way you hear it earlier. He has this unique voice really. Then Sejun who is the one doing the runs and got that raspy voice, he is the one who arranged the song, and actually all of their songs. Then Stell he's the one hitting the F#, he is called the heavenly voice since he can sing that high. And Justin, the one who's doing the bass part. They sang it LIVE with no added effects. We know, because one of them mispronounced a word which should have been avoided if it's prerecorded. Also, you notice that there is one that is struggling a little bit, his name is Josh, he knows that he has weakness in terms of vocal talent but he is improving now. His strength is more on upbeat/rap than on ballad.
Actually josh has a beautiful voice but he just forces himself to sing with this tone which makes him sound off tune. When he sang hanggang sa huli he sounded comfortable

wow yazik! Finally SB19 ❤️ all of them are Filipinos. They were trained here in PH but by a korean label. All of their songs are in Tagalog and English language (lyrics written by the members themselves) They often do covers of korean songs though because as of the moment they've only got like 3 officially released songs and 2 unofficial released tracks. They're fairly new. They debuted back in 2018 but just only got huge recognition in the latter half of 2019 due to their hit song *"GO UP"* (please react to it as well 🙏 i dunno if you enjoy dance practice but if you would give it a try, please do react to their GO UP dance practice as well. That was the reason they blew up overnight 😉) It's so frustrating cause they've got such good flow with their career when Covid-19 happen. All of their upcoming concerts were either cancelled or postponed ☹️ Anywhooo THANK YOU ❤️
they have covers of korean songs ...and they dont just sing..they rao and dance in these korean covers...idk if they sound natural to korean ears though...im a biased cause im a fan but i think they sound great even in korean

They have a freaking good stamina while performing. They dance synchronized with STABLE voices! You would love seeing them perform live (they always perform live). And the first singer is Ken, the main dancer of the group, also part of vocal line and he own that deep/thick, husky, sexy voice!!! Ken is so gifted.

The song they sung is originally from Michael Pangilinan and doesn't have rap on it. They add the rap and they arrange the song. They end up to a korean company through an audition ouside a big networks in the Philippines. And they are handled by korean Company that branch out in the Philippines who believed in the talents of the Filipinos that doesn't get the chance to prove themselves in the country.
