Kamusta actually is often used in normal conversation, and has actually become an informal variation of kumusta. Hence, either words are correct in some sense, but if we talk about formal writing and speaking , the latter is recommended. 😍
"Kumusta" came from Spanish "como estas". In Filipino, if you say "Kumusta ka", it's "how are you doing" (if speaking to a single person), if "Kumusta kayo", it also means, "how are you doing" when you are speaking to many people. So if you want to say this in your program, you may say, "Kumusta kayo" or "Kumusta po kayo" when speaking to us all, the latter is more respectful because of the word "po". FYI. And Michael is the Khel of Bu-da-khel, with BUgoy drilon and DAryl ong. I love this performance too. Thanks for your very informative reaction. Enjoy your vacation!
Hi this is my first view in your video i just want to say you are my favorite reactor btw im from Philippines i wish that you can collab to michael Pangilinan
I've learned so much on this reaction. I feel ashame for myself bc i cant even reach a high note when i sing. Thank you so much for telling us that we dont need to sing high notes just to be called a real singer but rather be creative and have some techniques in some way on how to sing a song.
Yazik, fan and subscriber here! First of all thanks for featuring Filipino talent on the international (RU-vid) stage. Humble request, since it seems all internet reactor are reacting to just a handful of our talents, I beg you to please discover and showcase new ones - try some underrated Filipino band IV OF SPADES singing COME INSIDE MY HEART on the Wish bus and be one of the few who reacts to them and be blown away by talent.... also try Original Pinoy Music (OPM) royalties Zia Quizon (daughter of Comedy King Dolphy and Zsazsa) and Robin Nievera (son of concert king and queen Pops and Martin Nievera) collaborate to perform a beautiful cover of "Crazy" (Gnarls Barkley) and Hotline Bling (Drake) LIVE on Wish 107.5
If you listen to the original version of this song. You'll see the very difference. They just gave this song a beautiful different version💓 really loved it too💓
Totally agree. It doesn't really necessary means that if you can hit high notes you're a great singer, sometimes it's better to keep it simple and enjoyable.
I really appreciate your feedback on this music. I always love hearing expert observation on great music. Kind of like a scientific breakdown of the music. More power to you and your channel!! Peace and love from the Philippines!
Michael P. is a well loved singer in the Philippines. He's actually got the highest number of views on wish bus performances. I think he's a product of xfactor but he didnt even got to the finals. He's always perfectly on pitch. I dont see him a lot on TV but he's more known on youtube than on mainstream media.
Yeah, he's with BuDaKhel ft. Katrina in One Sweet Day. That girl is Ryssi Avila, you should check out her covers too on her channel, others also said that she sound like kz. You should check Michael and Ryssi singing Nadarang.
This was one of my suggestions ❤️. It's like listening to a musical poetry. Everyone did their part excellently without trying to outdo the others. Thank you for reacting to this.
Your reaction as always is so good. Well I hope you can react to Morisette's Naririnig mo ba. I was looking for your reaction around since I've been following you for 2 years now, but I haven't see it. If you like, please react to her Naririnig mo ba. It was on wish bus. Greetings from Phil keep safe!
Kumusta is derived from the Spanish "como esta" or "how are you" in English. "Ka" is a pronoun for you. So actually kumusta ka is literally how are you you. Kumusta alone is enough. Better yet, add "po" as sign of respect.
actually... Original Pilipino Music (OPM) are not just about high notes song. One of the top favorites is acoustic like this. So there are lots of acoustic bands in PH like Ben & Ben, This Band, Kamikazee, PNE, etc. KZ even covered Tadhana of Up Dharma Down. ^ ^ Pinoys loves to chill.
Hi Coach Kumusta is a tagalog word for " Como Esta' in Spanish & how are you in English. I know a little bit of Spanish. The song is wonderful cover & it is an Original Pilipino Music (OPM) . Thanks or Gracias in Spanish Coach fr. Manila.
Kamusta or kumusta is the same word it is derive from spanish language " como esta" meaning how are you. Just a bit of history spain coquered the Philippines for more than 300 years. That's why we have mixed of spanish word in tagalog word. Appreciate your effort to known tagalog word...
I'd love to see you at a concert one day singing like that at your own soft vibe and just kind of chilling. It would be so lovely and pleasant to hear.
You know what I hate about Moira? Nothing. Nothing is wrong with Moira. But I hate that every new artist out there is copying her sound and style. It gets irritating and I fear Moira is eventually gonna be buried under the hundreds of sound a likes.
Michael Pangilinan is indeed a talented singer. You should react to his cover of lay me down by Sam Smith. A lot of technique can be learned there. You'll surely be amazed Yazik.
Really love watching you enjoy this song “Rainbow”, originally recorded by a Filipino Band called South Border, an OPM music (Original Pilipino Music) and performed by Michael “Khel” Pangilinan, Roserely “Rhyssi” Avila (the girl who sounded like KZ Tandingan), Ralph Padiernos (the falsetto vocal), Kem Ali’s (guitar and back-up vocal you noticed first but it’s actually Ralph who first sang as the back up vocal), Theban Aquino (keyboard) and Benj Bamba (percussion). This is one those videos that I posted in my Facebook page to spread good vibes to people, especially during the lockdown period. The message of this message is really very positive and uplifting. That’s why you were feeling good while listening to it. Thank you for your continued supports to Filipino artists. Maybe it’s time to listen to more OPM music to make you feel good. Most are in Filipino language but loads of music are in English too. Please check them out. FYI Gary Valenciano recorded loads of English music.
Kamusta / Kumusta From the spanish phrase "Como esta?" -"how are you?" Can either be pronounced with a "kamu-" or a "kumu-" (but majority pronounce it as "kamu"). Pronounced fast and straight! Kamusta? ☺
Actually either way you can say “Kamusta” or “Kumusta” its the same and means How are you. But “Kumusta” is like textbook. No matter how you pronounce it, your Pinoy fans still understand you. Thanks for having an interest in Tagalog and in our culture. More power to your channel. 🙏
Hey, Kamusta and Kumusta are just the same! Maybe Kumusta is more standard mostly found in formal letters/technical books/national newspapers but Kamusta is for everyday conversations.
Ho coach yazik. Can you sing for us a filipino song? Maybe either one of these? I think it will really fit your voice. Halik Sayang na sayang Buwan Minsan lang kita iibigin Bukas nalang kita mamahalin
The girl’s name is Ryssi. Please react to her another collaboration with Michael Pangilinan’s cover of the song NADARANG. It is in Pilipino language. By the way, their group is called MML (Michael Music Live)
Hello, thank you for reacting to rainbow. By the way, I suggest you to react more to the girl performer's music. Her name is Ryssi Avila. She recently auditioned in Idol Philippines 2022, and she's been trending in our country for quite a few days now. Pls react to her audition "ALIPIN" and also her "NADARANG" collaboration with Michael. This girl can sing and rap dope too!! She's so talented. 😍
