Coach, to me when people compare Morissette to Mariah I take as a compliment to her. Because I know Morissette does have that Mariah sound but she, also, has her own uniqueness. Very few singers are truly unique among past and present artists. Personally, Regine is one of those singers. You should react to Morissette’s performance at the 2017 Asian Song Festival. You get everything that Morissette offers.

yazik, Morissette ia a regular singer in one of the biggest network in the Philippines, the ABS-CBN network. she sings every Sunday in the TV show and she is guesting to other programs in the same network, She is really very good and one of a kind diva. very stunning. thank you
Mariah ends her version with 'Let's talk about love' too :) Every bit of this was taken directly from Mariah's live version, which isn't a bad thing at all. It's kind of funny, because even the stage set-up and lights look similar to one of Mariah's performances of the song. I love that Morissette is so inspired by her! I think there were a couple of things unique to her performance though: Her vocal breaks were beautiful! I don't think those were directly copied from Mariah, even though Mariah used them as well in certain places. And, like you said, her growls were her own stylistic choice. They added more passion I think.

This was an old video. She has found more of her own style now. She is now 22. And she is improving. She had vocal nodules as a teen ager. So she has learned better techniques. And even now she is still learning more coz her schedule is so hectic that she gets vocal fatigue at times. Not very healthy. Thanks for the reaction.
