damn i needed that, I watch your videos all the time. Its great im able to hear from the masters, without trying to break my neck to buy your time just to get the knowledge i seek for mixing music.
I'm using FL Studio 20 and I followed all the steps but unfortunately it doesn't seem that we can route the both back into each other to create the endless loop. You can only do this once. If anyone has a solution, please help! Awesome trick, Dave!
I was wondering, can't you just automate a distortion plugin ? How is this different from automation?. I am not hating on Dave or anyone here, but I just want to understand the difference between automation and this.
Hello Dave, I've been trying to figure this out for 2 days, I'am useing the AIR LoFi along with the ModDelay III and the Delay keeps going and going until I bypass the Delays is it because of the AIR LOFi or the ModDelay 3I'd Like to learn how to make this work. thanks Dave .
***** Great stuff as always. Anyway, do you know that you can turn on and off your inserts and aux sends on PT just alt-clicking them? No need to look for the bypass button every time!
Fun tip! I'm in Cakewalk and it seems, to me, that they don't offer a way to make a feeback loop. Or at least not that I can figure out. Blue Cat Audio just came out with The Connector that makes a feedback loop possible. It works good but the DLY side being sent collapses effect to mono unfortunately. If anybody figures out a workaround to keep it seperate feel free to respond and let me know. ;-)
I've been away from engineering for a while, so if someone could explain, I got a little lost when he brought in the lo-fi effect. How exactly is that effecting only the delays? And why when he brought that in did it create an infinite delay?
this is *super cool* I really appreciate this kind of creative idea sharing. I know this video is old but if anybody sees this can you please help explain exactly how hes doing this to me? it's hard to see on my phone screen and I'm on a different DAW so I'm a bit confused, does he have the "hush" routed to two different sends (left & right) and then each with their own delay, and then those sends also sent partially back through to each other? (so vox to send L & send R, then send R 50% > send L & send L 50% > send R??) this seems really cool I wanna try it, really hope someone sees this. thanks in advance if you do 🤘🏻🤘🏻
so there isn't really a difference between sidechain and ducking then right? Aside from it's settings I guess. Pretty cool with the delays. Is an aux track the way a return/insert works?... I feel like a noob about that part
Very cool! I think maybe I can write some automation using a sinx function to automate this is some unique way using FL studio so that no matter what it controls it will always be unique. Math= Music :)
did someone tell me what monitors did he youse, i recognize the KRK subwoofer ( but 10s or 12) and avantone, and is it the event 20/20 or yamaha ns10 , theresbehind him, but i don't see anythink thank you, and thanks for the pleasure to hear his video
