Wow, just stunning harmonies, beautiful and clear. Brought tears to my eyes. I love the Coldplay version, but this slowed down was so sweet and gorgeous.
Me and my friends from the Namibian Southern Youth choir based in Keetmanshoop, Namibia and our lovely conductor Mr. Salomon Kinda really love the song and its version. Greatly done. Mwhah!!! Mercy Zaahl
Exquisite harmonies, gorgeous sound, beautifully articulated, heart-wrenching dynamics.... this is an example of the magic of music.... how it reaches into the soul. Hello - to those who understand. :)
Good question! We use mics for all songs exept for this one. I want the sound to stand more naked in the room to make the audience listen even more to the lyrics. We often forget to listen to the words. Best, Jens
@@user-lp4th8bg8s that's mostly a product of the recording not being exactly professional quality, as well as a very powerful and large soprano section.
I've been at some concerts of different choirs...they were nice... ..but when I listened to it...it gives me gooseflesh... I think this interpretation is idyllic...wonderful....something like sounds and emotions...
Very few songs/ vocals bring me such happiness that I begin to cry uncontrollably, due to the sheer brilliance. This is one of those rare moments, that gives me hope for humanity yet. Thank you.
This takes a lovely song into a differend dimension and opens it up in a lovely way, almost like a church hymn and great harmonies in the passing chords. Thanks, It's very special! Peter in Buenos Aires
Great job! Fantastic control of those dynamics and incredible harmonies. There's so much soul in it! It sounds very great even on good systems. I can hear the voices spread out in a line almost like how they are standing. When you guys sing louder it can knock you off your chair! Thanks for that and props to your recording engineer.
This arrangement is wonderful. It's unique enough to be memorable, while at the same time keeping the soul of the original. You really did the music a service, making this. Keep up the good work, Jens. Brava!
used to rule the world Seas would rise when I gave the word Now in the morning, I sleep alone Sweep the streets I used to own I used to roll the dice Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes Listen as the crowd would sing Now the old king is dead! Long live the king! One minute I held the key Next the walls were closed on me And I discovered that my castles stand Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing Roman Cavalry choirs are singing Be my mirror, my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason I can't explain Once you go there was never, never a honest word And that was when I ruled the world It was a wicked and wild wind Blew down the doors to let me in Shattered windows and the sound of drums People couldn't believe what I'd become Revolutionaries wait For my head on a silver plate Just a puppet on a lonely string Oh, who would ever want to be king? I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing Roman Calvary choirs are singing Be my mirror, my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason I can't explain I know Saint Peter won't call my name Never an honest word But that was when I ruled the world Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing Roman Calvary choirs are singing Be my mirror, my sword and shield My missionaries in a foreign field For some reason I can't explain I know Saint Peter won't call my name Never an honest word But that was when I ruled the world
After spending an hour listening to ALL the other choir versions... I found the best. This is outstanding, in a single word... 'sublime' Angels in heaven could only match this...
really beautiful! an arrangement incredibly well done! Wonderful! could I get those scores for my choir singing in Brazil? we'd love to! Bravi a tutti!
Absolutely beautiful! We've ordered 40 copies of the sheet music and they've arrived yesterday. Can't wait starting to rehearse this wonderful arrangement with our choir ... Thank you! :-)
