Vocal Line singing Hallelujah in Taipei, Taiwan, summer 2005. Composed by Leonard Coen. Arranged by Jens Johansen. Solist: Jeppe Wind Visit www.vocalline.dk Sheetmusic: www.alle-noten....
I've always loved this song, but this performance brought me to tears. I've listened to it a dozen times and it still makes cry every time. I was surprised to realize that it's acapella - I thought there were percussion instruments and basses the first time I watched it! Absolutely in tune, pristine phrasing, and just gorgeous!
@pjdann100 I personally recon that it is both that the song is amazing in itself, and the it has been propelled to new heights by these awesome Danes. :)
Sang the alto part to this song a few years back. I miss this song so much!!! The challenging part of this song was there was only one other alto in our choir with me versus 4 sopranos XD we had to belt it out!
The arrangement is from the choir's conductor, Jens Johansen. You can buy it at several places and it's not too expensive. And while have some major goosebump parts, it is also flawed. I actually thought about improving it here and there when we sang it in our choir. But definitely buy the official version, it's a great arrangement idea and worth supporting.
