- The Songbird: Ingeborg Hallstein is a famous German coloratura soprano and actress. Her mother, Elisabeth Hallstein, was her main voice teacher. She was taught how to sing by her mother and her mother also wrote cadenzas for Ingeborg to sing and demonstrate stratospheric high notes. She was invited to perfom at top-class Opera houses in Zürich, Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Venice (La Fenice), Buenos Aires (Teatro Colón), London (Royal Opera House)... Successul roles of her including Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte by Mozart), Susanna (Le Nozze Di Figaro by Mozart), Gilda (Rigoletto by Verdi), Violetta (La Traviata by Verdi), Sophie (Die Rosenkavalier by R. Strauss)... Unfortunately, she wasn't famous in America and not performed regularly at important opera houses there such as the Met, Chicago Lyric Opera... She also an excellent singer in Johann Strauss waltzer and operettas (Die Fledermaus, Die Tänzerin Fanny Elßler...)
- Vocal: Stratospheric high notes above high F6 (acuto sfogato range) and crystal clear timbre are the things made her special. But different from another "stratospheric singers" as Erna Sack or Mado Robin, Hallstein always perfomed her high notes with taste and good aesthetic. Her cadenzas are always fit the songs and made her songs extraordinary.
