Your vocal talk throughs are soooo informative! I am not the least bit musical. I can’t sing , play or read a note and previous to this I would listen to music/ singers more as background noise. But now I actually LISTEN and it’s a whole new and enjoyable experience . I don’t understand a lot of your technical references but I’m a lot more aware of what’s going on in a song now. So THANKYOU for that . You really are an excellent tutor!! X

I love your vocal analysis of Morissette. I am a fan of her the first time I heard her 1 year and a half ago. I know she’s a very talented and unique singer. She is able to connect to her audience and make us feel the song. Her tone is so calming and soothing and powerful. I’m glad she’s getting the recognition that she deserves.Soon, she will be a amazing superstar sibger and performer. I so love her.

Love how she manages to go to the edge of her range, and still outputs a vibrato. That is the difference between an artist and an average karaoke singer. Especially on her falsettos. Not many people can go falsetto and still have such a distinct vibrato, much less extended vibratos.

This is how it sounds when an actual vocal coach talks through music - the breadth of coverage in your analyses is so extensive! Some of the coaches on this site have little know-how and poor communication skills - that's why your channel is so refreshing.

Wow! Why you took so long to have time for Mori? This is the first to see a vocal coach that analyzes phrase by phrase :) New sub! What I like about her? 1) When she's reaching high notes after high notes, it is still pleasing to my ears. 2) Her face does not become distorted when she's hitting high notes. 3) Her diction is great. I can still understand the lyrics. 4) She's so grounded, a good child and a good example to her age group. She's hyperactive but she's serious to her craft. I wish Mori the best!

i think I've seen this 5 times haha. love your intricate breakdown in all your videos but in this one you kept catching new things ever few secs haha. i would love to hear you do more of her videos, especially her newer vids. just looking at some of stuff from 2 years ago, she's evolved quite a bit. i personally think she has a more of a Beyonce with a little Mariah technique thrown in. not sure why she keeps getting compared to sopranos, but check out her Listen 2017 or even her You and I cover on the Wish bus. good stuff! honestly i was hoping you'd react to her, but i subscribed a while ago :P i like your format and I'll tune in if your next Talkthrough is Morissette or mickey mouse (tho... i hope its another Morissette video hehe).

Upon hearing her sing, Rhett Lawrence, the producer for Mariah Carey, flew to the Philippines last month to negotiate for her to sing in the mainstream USA music scene. I know others prefer you finish the song before reacting. To each his/her own.
