I like that part of this program is accepting that sometimes we won't be at our best, we are all human and sometimes we are going to be a little off of our game. It teaches how to get the most out of what you have available to you.

@JazzyMan1990 yeahI've had that before. had it particularly with a warbly soprano teacher I used to have. I think it reminds you of singing in a forced falsetto and that kind of tightens you up.

thing is, your a tenor. If I'm a baritone am I still gonna be able to go that high? I can't even find my head voice and am very frustrated by my current range. What can I do to improve this. I realise this stuff takes time, but I've been doing vocal excersises etc. that a vocal coach taught me for almost a year now and have seen little to no improvement.

Hey, Chris, what would your normal chest range be ? I have been working on the singing success program for two months now. And I still cant do the nay nays, I keep breaking, then I go back to listening to all the info and look at your online vids. I really want to go beyond f#4/g4. But I just cant hit those notes. what the fucks the matter with me. I have been singing for a long time, but I just cant train this!!!!!

i have a question i guess you are a tenor and you start at a C5 so i am a baritone, do i have to start at a G4? or is the head voice of a baritone and a tenor at about the same range?

does head voice just mean falsetto? cos i know how to do falsetto, but my ears aren't the greatest so i can't tell if head voice is different. if it's the same then i can do head voice, but i'm not sure if i can cos i don't know wtf it means.... please enlighten me.

@jbabe174 I belive a head note is when you sing in your "vocal crack area" (bad explained) In a falsetto note i you know what that is. I am not sure about this so don't take my word for it.

@lachlanmornard Here's the difference, this is different from what I learned from my Teacher but from my research it is true, The head voice is the voice above you modal register or chest voice, this register is basically your like mickey mouse sounding kind of voice in a sense, this is what he's singing in, in falsetto, it's the really really breathy kind of voice you may go into when you go high, but can be applied to any note you sing high or low

@blackghostofmetal well then i have no clue how to use head voice :( i wish someone could help me out. cos most videos on youtube aren't clear enough about it. i tend to either sing from my throat or my diaphragm. both are probably wrong... i wish i could sing high like Paul McCartney, but still maintain a bluesy/bass sound like him. That's why i sing from my diaphragm sometimes and really squeeze it cos it gives me a similar tone; however, i have less control of my voice and sometimes it cracks

@BMGRECORD Dude, calm down, look it up. It's when your voice resonates in your head. Basically, it's that high sound when he says "woo." Like when people talk to their dogs in a high voice - that's head voice too. People define head voice a bunch of different ways but that's basically it.

Perfect! haha! Mastering Mix uses three modes of vocal cord coordination to achieve the ‘mixed’ voice: edge, pharyngeal, and the “heady” quality. When blending these three mechanisms, the singer is able to achieve the purest form of his or her own distinct tonal quality of head, chest, and mix. From an edgy and brassy quality to a flute-like, velvety sound, singers find themselves able to produce tones they never dreamed possible. Let us help! Learn more here: singingsuccess.com/mix/

@JazzyMan1990 It's not normal, try putting your finger under your chin, there's a muscle there that controls swallowing. If it hardens when you sing, you're straining. So try singing without it being rock hard.

Yes @Ty Haddle. From a year ago I'm still not doing it right, I don't practice too much for ridiculous reasons. But I feel excited about my voice, somehow, I'm finding the correct way. And when randomly I can hit those lower notes, and hear the awesome way my voice could sound, huge, full (in my opinion), I get even more excited about it. Thanks for your answer, makes a lot of sense for me.
@Myworld691
@Myworld691 9 лет назад
Folks, about two months I wrote a letter and send it to Singing Success via email (I'm still not with an answer of them). In the letter I explained an experience of mine about the singing problem I have and that I'm almost dominating. I believe @Ty Haddle gave me a fair answer. So basically in the letter you'll read an experience, you may identify with me. I just want to share my experience to anyone who interests and who knows, it could be the same answer that apply to me, apply to you as well.
@Myworld691
@Myworld691 9 лет назад
(My experience in a letter) I'd like to say… that I need some help… I would appreciate that someone that knows about the topic or a professional read me. Apparently I can mix notes from E5 to Ab5 aprox. I would say I really mix those notes because of the the sound characteristics respective (volume, resonance). However, I'm having troubles finding my entire bridge, and I think that I almost never can mix G4-A4 or Bb4 to Eb5 really (but maybe till B4 in chest). But the curious thing for me is that I always, somehow, can mix (speaking or belting) F5-F#5 and G5 relatively easy (however when I was writing this, I hit mixing it, a C#5 in a test to myself…). Sometimes seems that I can mix from F4 to A5 but used to happen A LOT that I don't have the total control or capacity to follow and mantain that mix up till the notes from the fifth octave (aprox from A4 to Eb5). I think as well, that I don't know how to recognize my mixing notes in the fourth octave… Maybe because I have been belting too much in my chest voice, now I have problems to know when I really need to start entering to my first bridge. I notice that the only way I can mix those notes (Bb4 to Eb5) (and that C#5 I just talked about) is when I feel a quick thrill of joy, is rather a sensation, because that sensation makes me lose some type of fear or unnecessary tension, resulting in a confident and natural execution of what I really need to do to can mix the notes I usually can't, or start mixing entirely from whatever the notes I need to start, till reach to the fifth octave. (I also would like to say, that till now for some reason, I find it much easier to belt those notes (A4-B4 or C5 exactly) by saying the word for example: "see" or the vocal "e". (I'm a male) So, I think this would be I great question to respond to (if there is not a video with the answer yet) People that have been belting to much in chest voice. What we can do "now"? How do we really know when we need to start yielding and softly let go when entering our first bridge, when we "have been belting too much in chest voice", causing that our top chest voices suddenly became our most natural and used way to try replace mixing in the many failed attempts to succeed the passaggio? The question.
