It's just embarrassing... major improvements??? Only 4 things and one is a simple dark GUI? It's just a joke what you are trying. You yourselves are calling it a Update and not a Upgrade in this video. And this is just what it is... Should be free for anyone who bought Ultra. I mean I just spend money on Vocalign Ultra a little over 3 months ago and that doesn't qualify for a free Update???
Your upgrade price is an insult for what it adds. Your customer service is non-existent. I filed a support ticket a week ago and I've yet to get a response. What LANDR has done to you guys since acquiring you is absolutely pathetic. But keep making these videos to try to convince people it's worth the upgrade because even you are embarrassed.
It's really too bad you guys p*ssed off so many users by asking for ridiculous upgrade prices for minor upgrade features. Dark mode GUI? WOW!! Undo/Redo? OMG!! Show/Hide panels? WOW!!
Given the comments already posted it hardly seems necessary to add another one but as a disgusted Ultra owner I feel it necessary for Synchro Arts to really feel the wrath of their existing customers. I paid $275 for Ultra and, with that kind of pricing, assumed I'd be treated with some degree of respect by the company. However, making the update from Ultra to Pro a paid update shows how little they care about existing customers and making videos like this one show how little they think of their customers. This video is pure and simple gaslighting. The move from Ultra to Pro consists of bug fixes, cosmetic changes and a couple of very fringe workflow changes. There is absolutely no justification for this being a paid update and making a video talking about "major enhancements" and "massive improvements and changes" feels like a further kick in the teeth. It's just not true and saying it over and over again still doesn't make it true. I've already told Synchro Arts that I'll never spend another penny with them if they want to charge me for this update and thought that was the end of the matter. But this video just triggered me into commenting again. 😠
This upgrade is so shady. Some people are getting 75% discounts whilst the rest of us who have supported Synchro Arts for years via reasonable prices and equality are being shafted. What about one reasonable upgrade price for all and make it public? All this skullduggery in the dark for some & not others is making loyal customers very disappointed/angry....I'm not the only one who feels this way. Synchro Arts/LANDR open your eyes and ears.
I agree with Marco. First off, I upgraded from Project 5 TO Ultra in Dec 2023. So now, to upgrade to Version 6 Pro, it's $169! SCREW THAT! haha....I agree again, that this UPDATE should be free with my Ultra, and only from 6 mos ago. BUT for my fellow commenters, this is nothing new from these blood-sucking, money-grubbing Plugin Vendors. I get inundated with "Upgrade Requests" from too many of them, probably partly my own fault for buying too many plugins to begin with! ONE other culprit right now is Izotope with their upgrades from 10 to 11. No thank you to any of these folks. I also see this in other areas of the music industry in trying to pawn off even courses, like audio mixing/mastering courses by some folks. I can also tell by the discounts they are ALL offering, like Izotope's $29 Offer for NeoVerb, with its ridiculous LP of about $199 or so. Like I really need another ANYTHING Plugin! I believe this crap economy we're all in is the ROOT cause of it, as I've even seen all these vendors and companies with "extending the Sales Period" offers. They all have to be hurting. Hence, get out those UPGRADES no matter WHAT! Sorry Charlie, no dice here. PLUS I buy most s/w from Sweetwater, as they have an actual competent TS DEPT! Let's ALL SEE how long the price stays at $169! Dreamers.
All the commenters complaining about the 'upgrade' price.... you're right! It's worse though, when this was initially announced, there was NO discount for Ultra owners... a bunch of us hammered them on here into giving a measly 50% 'discount' for just basically re skinning the thing. Another one here who won't be giving SA another penny. At least they didn't do the 'waves subscription' thing on us, that'll be next i suppose...
