The best vocal mixing tutorial i've seen in a long time. He really explains everything on the go as well, makes it look and sound easy but it's the same techniques that everybody uses. Great plugins aswell!
Good tutorial. Probably over your studio monitors you can tell the differences, but on my computer speakers, not so much. Still, all the points are things to consider. Thxs.

In the raw vocal at 0:52, the gate is chopping off the transients/consonants at the beginning of words, making this sound like "iving on the ite ines." Someone should have checked this for quality, especially when you're trying to sell a product. Haste makes waste...
i dislike it, simply because he mix it solo. of course it sounds better. no, not better, more like processed. cuz who knows that it match the music? the music could be punk rock, acoustic with piano or guitar only, house, hip hop, kids happy song, or with full orchestra. i don't care if you know what to do, but since this video is meant to showcase it with people, then viewers need to know the context.
