Heavenly Father, as we come to the end of another week, we thank you that we know that you are the true God and that you alone give us eternal life through your only Son. Help us to keep ourselves from anything false or anything that is of the evil one. Keep us in your fellowship and away from the idols of our age. Through Jesus Christ our Lord and only Saviour, Amen.
I have to ask...WHY am I only now discovering your group??? I LOVE TO HEAR YOU, Listen to such a fascinating bunch of voices. I was (repeat, was) a singer...a capella...choral, barbershop...was born singing harmony...LOVE WHAT I HEAR even to this day...the BEST Group I have EVER heard! Wish I could still sing...but my voice (untrained - sighs) is pretty much gone these days (I'm an Octogenarian)...
We sang this my senior year of choir in 1992 for Area. I still know every word by heart. Amazing performance by Voces8. I wanted to belt out my Tenor 1 part but it's almost midnight and my wife's asleep - don't think that would go over very well.

Es ist immer Zeit, den Herrn zu loben, egal, was die Uhrzeit sagt...vielleicht hätte sie ja mitgesungen? 👋👋👋 Herzliche Grüsse von einer alten Chorsängerin
Nothing less than angelic!! This IS perfection! Please keep singing together and in this space- acoustics are fantastic! Phenomenal job- everyone!! 👏🏼 👏🏼 ❤
At about 2:40 in this recording the rising notes in the word "Sion" are beautiful. I love the whole piece, but I listen out for these every time. Funny what grabs us...
I've been binging on your recordings for the last two hours tonight since discovering them. I love the balance and unified sound you've achieved with 8 voices especially on some of the more 'choral' of the works you guys sing- Thank you!!!
Just want to echo ISAIAH'S comment. The SOPRANOS are very well restrained. So easy to overwhelm. i wish that I could hear more songs emphasizing the lower register. Great group!!!
i like Voces8's bright harmonized sounds..... i only few times attend their music concert, but very emortional happy their concert was my memorial in life....
Isn’t quite the same without instrumental support-but a spectacular performance nonetheless! (I grew up on the Gregg Smith Singers recording done in San Marco in the 1960s…)
+Dennis Travers They all move some with the music, which seems to be common with many *good* musicians. Motionless automatons are much more distracting.
Great music. Besides, I think it is not polite to wear a hat or cap inside the christian places of worship. It actually applies to rooms inside almost any building.
Sorry chapesses but it's out of tune - not very good for Voces 8 and disappointing! This is a magnificent piece - what you've done with it isn't working. I'm a Voces8 fan and love a lot of the work you do but they're not all winners!
