VOCES8: Santa Claus is Coming to Town 

Just goes to show how versatile this group is! The contrast between their classical performing and their vocal jazz is such a stark difference, and in such a good way! VOCES8 is certainly one of the greatest vocal ensembles to exist today.

O wow wow wow. We are now in the realms of “We’re not a big band but we act like one and sound like one”. Trumpets, saxophone, drums, bass, it’s all there. Simply lovely and so well executed! Very reminiscent of the Danish group Touché led by Jesper Holm (which is a big compliment!).

How can they do such a thing?!" Very well, it turns out. This is indeed a redemption of the mundane into the fabulous. I believe that ranks as a super-power and you should all be featured in the next Marvel movie.

Eh, a little too sanitized overall, but I applaud the musicianship all the same. Those harmonies are crisp and gorgeous. I just wish Voces8 would dig in and get grungy when the song calls for it (solos especially...). Yes, you've nigh-unparalleled blend and classical delivery. This is a jazz piece. Get a little dirty.
