It is a poem written by Lloyd Stone in 1934. Actually these english lyrics are written before finnish lyrics by V.A. Koskenniemi. Hymn was composed by Sibelius 1900. Also this hymn was a national anthem for Biafra (Land of the rising sun), which no longer exist.
