@@wlk2408 Paarl must be arguably the best town (not city) in the World for producing Rugby talent. The place just churns out first class players and Boks - even Canaan Moodie, Curtley Arendse and Grant Williams are from there. Even Paarl schools outside of the big two are even churning out players now.
Same, was at the game. Great atmosphere, Crowd was singing, specially the 2nd half. Bulls look to have strengthened the correct areas in the pack. Hopefully they can keep it up for the whole season. I see the Bulls have the best attacking stats in the URC this season, even with losing 2 games. Hope a good crowd turns up for next week against Saracens.
Think there will be strong crowd against Saracens as we bought some tickets last week and some of the blocks were basically sold out (like about 5-10 seats left in some blocks)
I like him . . . but with his frame I doubt he will generate enough go-forward ball as an inside centre at test level, I do think he would make a great outside centre or utility player at that level.
@user-vj2dt9jg5i Willemse is a starter these days..That opens up the utility bench option for someone..Willie will retire after making it to 100 caps..So there's hope for Kriel for sure
Best part of this game was how the Bulls defence has improved from last season to this one. Limiting that Bok laden backline to just 1 try is mightily impressive.
Yes very impressive defense, but the Sharks backline doesn’t have any Boks who played in the last 3 matches at the World Cup, plus having an useless 10 and 12 so the Sharks backline players are not as good as made out to be
@@jj56x7.5mm yes I’m aware of that , currently none of them would be in the a Bok 23, including Am. They are just not good enough as a backline, that’s what I’m saying.
I was burning in the sun but it was worth every minute. Initially I was scared of the Bok laden Sharks but after 10 minutes I knew it was going to be a Bulls fest.
Plumtree made a massive mistake benching Nche. Sure that works when you have someone like Kitshoff to start. But Wilco Louw ate their scrum for breakfast and by the time Nche came the Bulls had already scored four tries.
@@matthewvanrensburg3824 I heard Wayne Barnes and Brian O'keefe are moving to SA after their retirement after all of the love they have received and being national heroes down there
@@ebhi-rn5hr Wait, wasnt it the TMO that everyone said messed up by calling out the ref's mistakes on everything he was missing when he wasnt suppose to? So much salt its fogging up folks minds something terrible🤣. All the moaning about interference by TMOs calling out the ref'ing mistakes says the complete opposite about the ref's doesn't it?
@@internal1000 I would understand if the Sharks were a NZL team…but they’re not. Great game by Bulls. NZL teams for your info don’t start Super Rugby till next year. I don’t believe Bulls will ever face a NZL team since we don’t play in same tourneys…but good luck with your premise
@@HeeniKeke Let us clarify... OUR coaches are better than yours! Our National team is better than yours as well. Plum needs to go home. He is ruining our Springboks.
Super rugby final. In 2007 the Bok deprived Bulls lost their semi against a mostly unaffected cheetahs team. You'll remember 90% of the RWC winning team came from the Bulls and Sharks.
@@agonsfitness7308As a Stormers fan, I suspect that will change. The Bulls are looking absolutely formidable and we’ll have to really step up to take it to them
Sharks keep disappointing, even for a neutral like me. I was expecting a tight, hard fought game, but it ended up a blowout. I think their problems are at 10 and 15
Don't forget that Am was literally one of the best centers in the world less than a year ago. The man just has to get back into his rhythm after his injury. @@jj56x7.5mm
Just look at those empty stands... 20 plus years ago this game would be sold out. Is domestic rugby dying in SA? (I lived there for 20 years by the way)
Looking good this season Bulle!!! Also, that card for Sharks 2 is ridiculous. Kurt Lee ran into the guy just standing on a rugby field. Pathetic WR laws.
You are wrong. The guy made an illegal tackle. Running into someone means that someone is standing still or moving with no intention to play the ball carrier (Kurt-lee in this case). The tackler here (note: tackler) made an illegal tackle. It’s simple rugby rules
@@sifisomagagula5476 The laws are clear. If there is any contact to the head/neck it’s a red/yellow. But the laws are wrong. If the attacker runs into a player (ie, man standing his ground) then how can a man standing his ground be penalised? WR legislating against physics. Who do we think will win?
the broadcast director / or cameramen, were pathetic in this match...hardly ever showing important moments from the right angles...and then there was the TMO...I thought the ref had a good game for the most part, but horribly let down by the TMO. Probably had no effect on the game's result, but it still leaves you very frustrated, which is not what you want for the fans if you're interested in expanding the viewership of the sport...
The Sharks are rubbish this season and for that there is no defence. But bulls seem to often get the rub of the green. Gans try at 23 minutes was a joke (there was clear separation) and in build up to Akker VDM try in 71st minute, I'm pretty sure a bulls player entered a ruck illegally and whacked a sharks player on the head, which doesn't appear to have been reviewed. Early in the match, I remember sharks on attack and bulls player cleared away from the ruck with a neck roll, also not reviewed. So, when the bulls are heavily penalised elsewhere, it feels like the chickens come home to roost.
Terrible highlights again from URC - this ref seems pretty good but nobody wants to see conversations over the actual action like the ‘dangerous tackle’ Nice to see URC succeeds in spite of the organisation rather than bc of it
Rubbish to award a penalty try AND give a yellow card. Overkill and deflates the contest. Make it either or, not both. Or perhaps give the attacking captain the the option to pick one.
That no hands shoulder charge on the last try by Bulls was a shameful, he should get a ban, instead they get advantage, terrible officiating, what on earth was the touch judge and TMzo at ?
