Just an update on this. I was at the off road event this weekend and she ran fine. No problems. People have asked about E10/E5 fuel and whether that was the problem. Could be. I rode all the way up to Scotland on E10 as that's all you could get in the rural areas. So it had about 7 tanks worth. On the way back down the motorway I ran it on E5. It had about 3 tanks worth and was a touch lumpy off the bottom. Now with another tank of E5 it's fine. So maybe the consequence of running it on E10 is that slightly lumpy bottom end on a closed or throttle.
Hi Nathan, I sold my yamaha bt1100 bulldog due to the carbs gelling up. V twin hard to get carbs out. e10worse for small engines lots on here about lawnmowers failing. My fuel injected bike seems ok……..so far
Esso Synergy (the red pump) is marked as E5 but is completely ethanol free in the majority of the UK - they state this on their website. E5 legally means "up to 5% ethanol", and so zero ethanol is still marked as E5 in the UK. Ethanol has a lower energy density, so I tend to run this on a 2022 Vespa when doing long trips in order to maximise my range per tank.
@@volt8684I’ve been using E10 in every engine I’ve got that can run on it (which is all of them) since 2011. Zero problems. It’s easy to be scared of something different don’t use E10 as a scapegoat. The Voge oddity is that it states that E5 must be used, that’s odd but must be respected. The big Japanese makes have been built for E10 since the 1990s.
I like the looks of the Voge 300 Rally, but my G310GS has twice the service interval which I greatly appreciate. The Kove 450 Rally may be the bike I'd like to have, kitted out as an off road oriented ADV bike with the power for highway use without being wrung out as my baby GS is at those speeds. I also love the dual tanks on the Kove 450 Rally and the extended fuel range. The 2.9 gallon (11 liter) tank on my G310GS is honestly my only real complaint about the bike. Get well soon, Dorothy!
Shame Dorothy didn't make it but I have a feeling she will raise like the Phoenix and have more epic adventures ahead:) Loving the Voge but my Himalayan still has lots and lots of life left in it:)
Really enjoyed the postie bike day on Wednesday!, I’ve “reserved” one of the 93 model 110s from seven seas, so hopefully by about mid October I’ll have it
@@nathanthepostmanI got the bike after a while and after after getting the carb ultra sonic cleaned, new Speedo cable and oil change it, i got it going and it seems runs well!, im going to start on some green lanes when it gets a bit warmer and ive given the bike a few on road miles to make sure its happy. I’ll have to try and find a centre stand for it as the previous owner in Japan took it off for some reason, but oh well! Hopefully one day I’ll be able to ride it down to Devon and maybe join in on a run!
At £3,799 the Voge Rally is a lot of bike. TET/ACT/Stella /Sweet Lamb friendly. On my brief ride in the Alps, it proved to be easily rideable and well mannered. Without any complications. I wouldn’t swap my Crf250L, for one. If someone wanted a Crf, I’d recommend they look at the Voge, it’s better value and a equally capable alternative to the Crf. Now? If they did a Voge Rally 450, I might swap allegiances.
Hi there. Nice to meet you about a week ago. I was on a yellow wr250r with my mate on a crf250 rally just outside Rhayader. You were coming back from sweet lamb in the van with your bike . Be interesting to see how the bike keeps performing. 👍
Yeah not sure. Had considered that. I ran it on E10 most of the way up and e5 on the way back down. So e5 in it currently. I'm keen to get the service done before drawing any conclusions on the fuel usage.
HI Nathan your not The only one who broke down last week doing the lejog.I broke down on my Himalayan 2021 .still under warranty.I found out the hard way royal enfield road side recovery isn't worth the paper it's written on .I live in south Devon .long story short bike is still at Preston being repaired .I was left on side of the road .also I've been told I've got to pay (£325) to get bike home once repaired.
Nothing but issues from Royal Enfield. Worst part is, it's an absolute crapshoot what will fail. Broke frame/subframe, fuel pump, electrical issues, I've heard it all.
Hi, what's the range and fuel tank capacity on the Voge? I cant find it anywhere! I'm considering buying one in South America for a year-long trip, and I'm wondering how suitable it is. It's that or fly my tenere, but with the chance of getting nicked and cost of shipping, I'm thinking buying a Voge may be the way forward
They're 11 litres. On the motorway I was getting about 62 mpg. On the back roads about 85mpg. Safe range on motorway about 120. Safe range off motorway about 160 miles
no "fanfair" from those waiting for the next invite to a mainstream bike launch and fancy hotel in S Africa or Andalucia etc , no surprise eh. A bike earning its reputation from users, Social media can be crap but also a treasure trove of usefull info. Someone who wants to buy a bike to do a 500 mile m-way run wont be choosing your channel, but someone who needs to do it as yourself to enjoy their trip to the max may do so, so its all valid info. Give the girl a little spanner time to keep the story valid. Thanks.
I’ve been thinking of a big KTM 950 Adventure but when I see the prices of these brand new it’s a bit of a no brainer. As long as there’s backup because if I buy a brand new bike I’m keeping it at least five years
@@nathanthepostman A big part of what comes to the US is what sells and what does not. I helped a friend with his first motorcycle and after a few hours on my Honda Cub, figured a 250 was a good start. He was well placed on a Honda Rebel 250 and after that, I wanted that engine. There are so few CB250 Nighthawks in the US, it took me almost 3 years to find one. I bet there's 200 Rebels for every 1 Nighthawk. The Nighthawks wouldn't sell. I wanted a CX500 Standard but, what sold here was the Custom and bought 2 of those before I found a Standard. If the Voge 300 Rally comes here, people will gut the exhaust and toss the airbox for a pod filter. There is a reason we can't have nice things.
Ha. Sounds like a great find! Just check your fuel tank for rust before doing any miles on it. I had chap join a LEJOG run this year on one that'd done low miles as well and had been laid up for a while. The rust in the tank blocked his injector and he had to get recovered home on the first day. Worth checking.
wait what they would not recover you?!?? no trucks in the area ? longest i ever waiting for recovery was like 6 hours but did not have to sleep by the road side
I'm surprised 101,000 km is the 110's limit. I know it's a small engine. Has it had a hard life? 2:18 stunning scenery. The Voge sounds a good bike, and it looks so much better than the CRF. I like the dash and the screen. Great price. Parts availability? Excellent video. 1990 [Nick John]. Nathan, I'll drop the 1990 from now on, just sign of with Nick J, then you'll know who's commenting.
She's had a fairly hard life to be fair. Himalayas, Rockies, Alps. She's had more abuse than most small bikes. Hopefully no problems with the bottom end. Just some top end work needed. Cheers Nick.
I see you only have 1 spring on the side stand, there should be 2 springs, have you found the stand dropping down, mine did, found the other spring under the seat.
