I’ve been touring Europe for forty years on mostly Hondas. Never had a breakdown. I did grind to a halt one year on a BMW with a broken gearbox and that gave me a world of pain. Right now I’m sticking with the brand I know and has served me well. I look forward to your reviews with these bikes and stay open minded to the results. I hope they perform as well as you hope 🙂✌🏻
I’m on my second Voge, traded my 2 1/2 year old 650 for the 900. The part ex value of the 650 was confidence inspiring, I was amazed expecting the value to have dropped through the floor but to it’s credit, having been ridden through 30 months of all weathers it scrubbed up well and with little if any rust spots. The 650 took me back to traditional motorcycling, big single thumper that pulled like a John Deere tractor on steroids at 3000 rpm plus, it was great fun and nothing, yes nothing failed. I’ve done 400 miles on the 900, then gone has yet to have the first service but I can tell you it is seriously responsive and in Sport mode it flies. For those that are hesitant, I am old enough to remember when S Hoinda invaded the UK motorcycle market, we scoffed but the smirk was quickly wiped off our faces and of course the rest is history. Voge is the new Honda. Engineering qualities are equal to anything from Europe and Japan…in my opinion. I stripped the 650 and was seriously impressed, other than greasing the spindles etc, there was nothing I could find fault with, hence my upgrade to the 900 with which I have no regrets whatsoever. In 60 years of motorcycling I’ve ridden most brands, BMW’s especially and the 900 is up there with the rest as far as quality and value for money is concerned. I have a Yamaha World raid also, remapped and is such a delight to ride, ultra smooth and the power delivery is (now) superb…..but it doesn’t excite anything like as much as the 900. Both similar in style, both from the land where rice is the staple food, speak with similar a tongue but otherwise they are chalk and cheese. Looking forward to your future videos.
@@andycapp3867 you cannot beat a genuine owners review to get a feel of how a bike stands up over time. I also ride my Tiger through the winter and it still looks good. It’s all about cleaning it once a week, some polish and maintenance.😀
We did ask but we are not allowed to take them out of the country for insurance reasons. Perhaps Voge in Europe will sort us some bikes out for a real on the road adventure...
I took a gamble with the CF Moto 3yrs with the 650 MT. And I love it . I've done over 13,000 miles touring Ireland Scotland & Wales. And she's never let me down No issues whatsoever. I took the first test ride of the Voge 900 in northern Ireland and have to say wow amazing Tec and a fantastic bike . Unlike CF Moto . They seem to be having trouble with distributing the bikes.northern Ireland only has 2 bikes and I'm told there's No More until next year? So what does this mean for parts servicing warranty? That said the bike looks feels & ride brilliantly. Not one issue or bad point on the test ride other than setting everything to my own linking and feel. It's better than the new triumph Tiger 900. And dare I say the CF Moto 800 explorer.-
For 9k it’s a no brainer. BMW in disguise, great marketing on these tough times. The top manufacturers should be definitely looking over their shoulder
I’m seriously considering buying one but what are service costs and service periods. Are there actual deals to be done paying cash irrespective of how cheap they are. Other than that they appear bargain of the year or is it a true price of a bike and others are over charging
I bought a CFmoto 800MT and can't praise it enough. The very fact that most dealers now have them on back order until next March because they sold them all is a good thing for the Voge because people will view the Voge in the same light and snap them all up instead of waiting for a CFmoto. They're both fantastic value bikes and if you're worried about depreciation just look at so called "Premium" manufacturers and see what you will drop on them.....ridiculous. I bought my CFmoto on a 3 yr PCP with 2.5% finance and a 62% residual value at the end whilst being covered with a 4 year warranty. How can you beat that....Go and buy a Voge and don't worry about it plenty have been using the 900 on the continent for a year already, we are just a bit late to the party.
In history development of products has been done by copying then improving and selling for a more competitive price. U tube and media will do more for these newcomers than any advertising campaign. Real users real people not models. So looking fwd to this. So glad they recognise the benefit you will bring to the brand. Congrats GBMoto. And congrats to you two too. Futures bright. You will be with all the other vloggers in spain
Thanks so much Volt, we are very happy they value our opinion and honesty and I think they show confidence in their product giving us two knowing the miles we ride…
Nice looking bikes no doubt, but I have a mate who bought a Bennelli and literally watched it rust in front of him. Everything is nice and shiny when new but after a 6 month period I’d like to see how they fair out. I’d be a little concerned that all those extras are to disguise that the bike itself isn’t gonna stand the test of time. Hopefully it will 👍 Have a 97 blackbird that looks like it came off the production line yesterday. Hopefully that quality is here too. Good luck with the test guys 👍
A mate of mine has a Voge 900 and he loves it . Cheap and good looking . I took it for a run on Sunday and wow was surprised very nice . Power looks at a price and the equipment level has to be a serious consideration. Remember back in the day when Japan took the markets by storm well the Chinese are now doing the same . Great stream thanks . 👍👍👍
It’s a great machine so far, if they can stand the test of time and high miles then they are without doubt the future…. BUT they need to be ridden to high mileage and proven
I bought a new bmw K1600gtle earlier this year, with 7 miles on the clock. 16 miles later, it needed a full engine replacement. Proving that any bike can fail. Confidence in a brand is earned, and it's early days how these bikes will cope with the British weather and road conditions. Customer service/after sales will play a key role in the bikes success here also. It's not all about cost!!!!! Best of luck, and happy riding
From what I can see from your video you’re going to answering a lot of the questions I and others have. One more thing I’d like to know is what fuel range you get from the 17 litre tank. Surprised how small it is. Enjoy your adventure and look forward to watching more videos
Totally agree with people perceptions of brands, especially Chinese. I’ve just got my winter bike, CF Moto NK 650, so impressed so far with what has come equipped with it for the price, Build quality and ease to work on, and how good it’s been so far to ride. People forget CF Moto is a huge Chinese brand, and they in partnership with KTM, and the JJ Juan brakes are actually owned by brembo these days. Haven’t found any issues so far with parts. One day I’ll get a proper adventure bike, but 820 seat night and I wouldn’t touch the ground 😂😂
Other manufacturers should be worried as they ain’t offering anything close at this price. You will get the usual ones saying “wouldn’t have one Chinese “ but the phone and TV and house hold appliances are all Chinese 🤔😂
Loads of stuff made in China. I'm sure i saw a KTM review and the bike was made in China, some motor car parts for big brands like the VW group made in China
@@ontheroadadventure made in China doesn't mean developed in China. The engine in the Voge is developed in cooperation with BMW. But do you really think the engine is of the same standards and materials as the BMW? They are not stupid.. The same is with cars. Renault and Mercedes share development costs. But the engine in a Mercedes is not a Renault and visa versa. Otherwise nobody would buy a Mercedes anymore 😅
Usually Chinese collaborations with traditional brands have the latter protecting their reputation by having their own quality control standards implemented. I'd definitely need to be assured of that. I can recall, not too many years ago, the QC of Mash leading to incorrect CC badges on their bikes......
I'd say (and I'll get some stick for saying this) it is a premium bike its just not a premium price. If that had a different badge on it and twice the price they'd be saying it is. I'm done with bike snobbery, it looks a cracking machine and half the price of another manufacturer with the dame spec. Seen 3 or 4 of your vids and i think your chemistry is spot on. You remind me of my Polish girlfriend..she makes me laugh, wish she'd ride a bike.
Great video. Only came across you 2 today but it’s a refreshing change to see a nice couple giving honest views. I’m more into sports tourers but to be honest for the price , that bike looks pretty good. Will be interesting to find out if comes with different seat heights etc.
Rich & Ewa. Another great video. I really appreciate your honest and down to earth approach. Reluctantly, I have to confess that the bikes look really good. Cynics such as myself may find the Voge ownership proposition more tempting given that these bikes allegedly share many of the same components as other “premium brands”. Having worked for many years at THE premium 4x4 manufacturer I know the importance of parts quality and warranty history! In other words, the more carry over parts (with a good warranty provenance) the easier it’ll be for customers to trade Brand Loyalty for a lower cost item! That said, I’m a little sceptical that BMW would have paid for the tooling for major components only to make them available to competitors?? Anyway, offer a 3yr no-quibble warranty on the Voge and it’ll fly off the shelves! Just a shame it ain’t British!
Would you replace your Hondas for them and buy them with your own money ? Back in 1976 as an apprentice motor mechanic the boss called me in to look at a Datsun Cherry just because it didn’t have an oil leak like all the British vehicles we worked on. The rest is history and Chinese bike will become the future whether you like it or not.
Also did email motogp. About parts. Had the parts diagrams. But not all prices there. They said if they not used them parts prices not be there. Also priced up the luggage and racks for this. Comes to about £1700. So pretty good. 😊
You're both looking more refreshed. I presume not sleeping in a tent has helped somewhat. 😁😉 The leaders in any market do seem to become complacent over time. I've never rated BMW as value for money and their reliability has never been good - you don't want to own a BMW that's out of warranty. As such, I don't particularly see this as a BMW comparison as they've always been overpriced, it just confirms they are overpriced. Although most bikes are now built to a price, over the years it's been very annoying that basics, such as centre stands, huggers, etc, are now expensive optional extras. I think this is to support the dealers profits .The new boys on the block are right to see this as a weakness and take advantage by providing them as standard. It's cheaper to fit them on the production line than store, ship, and fit as an optional extra. Hopefully the established brands will wake up to this soon.
I'd buy one right now if they had these in the US. So far, nothing. I look forward to your long term review. Have fun and I hope the weather stays nice for you!
Hi, I have the BMW F900xr. Same engine as the voge.I travel up and down the mountain to and from Ronda in Southern Spain regularly and have never had an issue. Can’t speak for the rest of the bike but the engine is a peach. Really enjoy your tubes? Even a NOS like me (64) especially the touring and camping ones. All the best.
Looking forward to your longer review of this bike should be interesting. I bought a Chinese built ktm 790 adventure had it just about a year couple of minor issues but on the whole superb, off to Spain on it with the mrs next week fully loaded can’t wait 👍, I honestly believe my Chinese built bike is better than two of my friends Austrian 890s and I saved 3k , have fun you two are awesome.
Cracking video Rich and Ewa. For me personally it comes down to brand trust. I’m a self confessed BMW man and have had no issues at dealer level when things go wrong. However, as you said Rich I would strongly consider this in the future. I’m getting Tiger vibes from the side on views. Looking forward to seeing more on the Voge 👍
@@ontheroadadventure possibly pal. But remember that there are brand snobs out there. The Ducati Multi-strapon riders for example! 😂 Shaft drive Voge for the win!
Hi Guys, i had the Benelli 502. nothing wrong with it, I just couldn't get on with the weight and high centre of gravity, being over 60 lol. Love what you do.🏍🏍🏍
Nice video both, I had the 500DSX from Voge and loved it. I did lose a lot come sale time but as a of the bike. In absolute terms I lost £2k which as you said at the end is a lot less than most BMW owners...
Hi Eva and Rich, I am old enough to remember the Japanese invasion.. There was a lot of British is best etc.. I think that the Japanese was a more inventive.. They produced great smaller capacity bikes where we wasn't.. Like the Honda 90 cub.. Reliable, cheap to run etc.. Great dealer back up and parts.. So to dismiss Chinese makes is stupid. Apple phones are made in China.. Expensive.. Like Eva I was told items can be made for various manufacturers in the same factory. So I decided to buy a unknown Chinese mobile phone.. Brilliant.. No issues, and 90% cheaper than a apple.. For me, like most people I guess, are open minded, with questions over dealer backup, parts availability etc.. Im on my 2nd Tracer 9, which I love.. Would I swap? Like Rich atm no, but in the future once more established? Possibly.. Great review guys.. Look forward to the next one
@@ontheroadadventure Just as a add on.. Just checked out of curiosity where my nearest vorge dealer is.. 50 miles away, which is a disadvantage obviously.. But I would not be surprised if the dealer network expands quickly..
Why do you need them? As long as parts are available online to order any vat registered Bike mechanic can service your bike, if he's ever worked on a bmw parallel twin he will know this bike inside out...
This is such a good review because as you have been saying these bikes are so very cheap but on the surface look very good quality, very good so unless you're very unlucky you could ride this bike for a couple of years do a lot of touring and get 3k for it trading in 2/3 years down the line how good would that be bargain the kit you get on this bike for 9k no brainer, brilliant love 💕 it, also just want to say you guys do fantastic videos first class keep up the brilliant work and thank you 😊
Thanks so much! Most people can lose 9k on a new Beemer for example in depreciation over a year or two of riding making this this almost disposable at a year old anyway!
Bike looks nice and with all the extras on it well worth a look and test ride my only concern is getting parts if something was to go wrong in Europe when doing a tour
The bikes have been available for some time in Europe and so there’s plenty of dealers available. In the UK MotoGB has a massive warehouse we assume are full of the parts for the bikes they are selling… we will investigate this…
I've owned a number of bikes including an Africa Twin ( brilliant bike) and now a BMW GS 1250. I have to say this does look like a bargain. As you say, the main concern is reliability... the old adidge ( if its too good to be true......) however this genuinly looks like a bargain. My questions are 1) how long is the manufactures warranty 2) BMW offer an extended warranty after 3 years... do Voge offer this and if so how much does this cost and what are the conditions ( limited mileage) 3) How do they handle on and off road in comparison to the Africa Twin Can I also take this opportunity to thank you both, your videos are great and you manage to edit them so quickly. ( and I know editing is so time consuming) keep up the great work.
Thanks so much, We appreciate your comments so much. 1. I Believe its two years standard warranty, 2.... Ive no idea but will try to find out... 3. On road i would say the handling is better, the suspension and Steering damper makes this bike feel far more expensive than it should do... We are Very impressed with how it rides... Off road, well its not really designed for that, But we will do our best to test it out! see you in the next one
Great video! So pleased that you both got a Voge to test for a while at least. You really are the best for testing it and providing an honest review. Now I know you both have a bike to test and the question will be who's the passenger but my question is can you please assess the bike for two-up riding with the luggage fitted. Please check the leg room for the passenger and if you have to slacken the drive chain because of the extra weight. Comfort and ease of getting on the bike would be appreciated. Ride safe Andy & Lyn. LYB.
2 year's ago I purchased ( bought not PCP) brand new Chinese car, it came with a 7 year warranty, so far it's been ultra reliable, and although my Thruxton is a British brand, it' was probably manufactured in Thailand, again no issues but it is just a Sunday bike
£14k for a brand new car, the Chinese will establish themselves in the bike world, just look at Royal Enfield, who'd have thought an Indian brand we be so popular
Great vids again! My main concern on brands like Voge is the dealer network, how many dealers do they have, and if there would be a dealer near me… for most people I guess all the main Japanese, Italian, and German brands would be maybe in a 50 mile radius… also most new bikes are sold on PCP, the value of bike then is irrelevant if the monthly is same as more premium brands…. Lastly many people love their brand due to their long heritage and racing history, many see the Chinese as just copying designs and tech at lower prices due to their much lower labour rates and gov help….. no doubt they will increase share in market, but I love my bikes, and not sure these are for me….
I often hear the Chinese vs early Japanese reliability comparison, but by the late 1950’s Japanese bikes had a reputation for better build quality and reliability than British and US models. By 1962 Honda's R & D department was at least six times larger than that of America's largest motorcycle manufacturer. I’m nearly 60 and from early childhood memories in the 1970’s Japanese were the bikes to own. There’s a fascinating video on Honda motorcycle production in the 60’s on RU-vid
It would be interesting if a BMW fan had a Voge for a few months and then gave us an UNBIASED & honest review! (If there are any unbiased BMW owners!!)
hi guys I.living in Italy I had the voge 500 dsx.for 2 years did all sorts of riding light trails touring and have to say never had a problem great bike no problem with fittings or finish Now I went to buy a Honda cb500x so the voge the basic Honda €7999 the voge 5999 fully loaded great value but and there is a but parts availability is not good even here and the voge is popular here and they don't hold there value but I couldn't fault the bike I sold it privately and got myself a Honda nc 750 purely because of the back up you get Used to live in the lake district moved to southern Italy 4 years ago see you later Derek
If parts are a problem now, what about in 5 or 10 years. How long do Voge guarantee part supply for? That's what l'd like to know & that's something l'd never had to think about before with the big 4 Japanese bikes l've owned.
I’m seriously considering one of these, my biggest concern is dealer and importer support. There seems to be some queries/ questions about software updates regarding snatchy throttle etc. I’m not a beginner and have owned a Tiger 900 GT Pro, Ducati Multistrada 1200s and a BMW 1250 GS all in the last 3 years.
Will be interesting to see your review after a few days, the black one is the dogs! As for spares like many dealers they don’t hold stock, as long as main distributor has a comprehensive stock and can get parts next day, don’t mind that much and is normal these days except for service items which should be in stock. Even my Triumph dealer in Long Eaton is next day for most parts. Do like handles on the luggage, wish my Tiger 800 had these instead of having to buy separate, or make some. Did notice you have an arrow on the gear display, is this for eco riding and tells you when to change up or down. As for Ewa,s comment about a good starter bike, this is completely valid as not everyone has the money for a major brand bike with everything on it for touring, if it performs well could take a big slice of the adventure market.😊
Yes the arrows are to advise you when to change gear for eco riding, you get every thing you see on this bike for 9k, it seems to be a real deal, but we need to see some with real miles on to get customer confidence up
I'm on my second Toyota car, the first one was very reliable and overall a good car. But my second one I'm not do sure about, but that could be down to the previous owner who apparently lived near the sea and further north, colder and sea air. It's got some rust problems underneath, brake pipes etc. But I guess that's the problem of buying secondhand, i brought from a local Toyota dealer and i didn't know the owner was from another area. I've seen some people saying Honda & Toyota have been living on their past glory, reputation. Which said my cars 1340 cc petrol engine produced to high emissions, so removed from best buy. Who knows, but what are the other choices. I see other brands negative comments on reliability surveys. Very interesting video, I guess this is why the US is scared of China
Voge would be smart to give you two those bikes, what a credit you would be to them if you were the ones to prove those bikes are as good as your Hondas
Great viewing as always. I’m seriously considering one of these and of course have concerns re dealer support, parts availability etc. No doubt there’ll be some of these bikes that have faults, perhaps some might be major. But really, it must be a similar probability for most bikes. So that aside, I’m just interested in how these ride compared to others similar in their class like the KTM 790/890, the Benelli TRK, or even (dare I say it) the Africa Twin. Cheers. 🙏
Well we ride Africa twins and I have reviews on the benelli’s already so our opinion should answer some questions for you. Of course the KTM 890 is much lighter and more off road oriented but they have a terrible reliability reputation… You can see my own ownership experience of that on the channel… mine lasted ten days only!
@@ontheroadadventure Thanks guys. Yes I’ve watched with interest your vids on the Benelli and the KTM. I’ve also fallen foul of owning a KTM, never again. I currently own a Benelli 702X and very happy with it. I just fancy something with a bit more oomph… keep up the great work cheers.
Awesome on you both for jumping on the Chinese wagon, ive had my zontes u1 2 and a half yrs now and no issues with it at all, ive passed my theory test and awaiting to do my mod1 and 2, ive got my eye on the new zontes 703 when that comes out its the same power and 200cc less than voge and looks pretty cool to me, the prices are soo much more inviting than honda, bmw etc even when the time comes im tempted to sell my lancer and put the money straight to the zontes as my partner isnt bothered about a car and ive had my fun with 400bhp as a daily driver haha now time for a different vibe 😎😎
@ontheroadadventure that's the way forward be alot cheap on running costs and like you said in the video the resale value loss is mental on the big brand bikes, good luck in the new venture, be sure to check out the new 703 zontes when it comes out next month I think, it's a 3 cylinder and sounds great from what I've seen on here
@ontheroadadventure that's the only way to be bud, I love how genuine you guys are compared to the paid to do only good reviews people are you can tell they just lie through their teeth haha having to actually think about what they are going to say lol
I am old enough to remember the 60s/70s when Japanese cars and bikes were arriving in the country. They were judged to be rubbish, now look at their dominance . Are the Chinese cars and bike not a case of Deja Vue ! and history repeating itself.
I agree with you both. They appear to be ok. I'm a bit of a tight arze, so I would be looking at it if I were to be in the market. You can do a lot of pre paid riding, fixes or parts for 9 gran. You can easily buy what you think is the right bike but still have troubles. Result. If we're to be in the market i would definitely give this consideration.
Yes agreed, our Hondas have not been without issue… in fact I have had dozens of different motorcycles and each one at some point has had a problem or needed a replacement part when you think about it….
So you liked them before so of course they are going to give you more time on the bikes,I like the review but get on the bmw and see that you make of those …. There will always be a market for Bentley and rolls Royce same with bikes. Great content as always
A fair point but it does show confidence in their product, we have no reason to be kind to Motogb or these bikes, if they are shit or if they break as we put miles on them we will show you… it’s all we can do
I have a sneaky suspicion you will end up with the bikes. I don't blame you if you do. I am a huge BMW fan I have a GS 1300 and the latest S1000RR those bikes are every bit as good. Will keep watching to see what happens all the best
Just saw this in an article this morning: "The U.S. Commerce Department recently proposed rules that would ban vehicles with software and hardware links to China and Russia by model year 2027." So any vehicle that has connectivity to your phone or other device will be banned and we will not see the likes of bikes like this and CF Moto, etc. I wonder if this will effect KTM and BMW as well, knowing that some of their bikes have some Chinese parts that may fall into this category. So, I hope you enjoy them as we yanks soon can't.
They have realised that if successful the Chinese will dominate the market crushing the competition on price and therefore sales resulting in other brands suffering in a big way
Currently have the moto morini 650 excape , only time will tell on build quality, .The problem with chinese bikes is people won't commit to buying because of the unknown reliability and build quality so the brands stay low sales . These bikes your testing seem worth a go and the fact they sent you two speaks wo😂nders in my eyes . Off topic I'm currently walking round Venice in my on the road tee, spreading the word
@ontheroadadventure very nice bikes but are they built down to a price ? Or are the other manufacturers ripping us off ? Like you 5 years ago I would never of touched a Chinese bike , rust bucket cheap rubbish . I'm really looking forward to your tests and reviews , think Ewa's in love with the gold and black one 😍
So far we are very impressed by them... Id love to slag it off and moan all day on it but i really am picking at it to try to find fault.... But its only a few days in... Lets see if it fails as we put some miles in. We both like the Black one best!
Hi Guys, this new Voge 900 looks very tempting with all the gear that is std. and performance more than quick enough. Here are my questions: 1. At touring speeds what fuel consumption is it giving? 2. I believe Moto GB is the UK importer and as such responsible for spare parts supply, so how much have they invested in spare parts to ensure speedy supply? Does Moto GB have a computer system linked with Voge/Lonsin in China to be able to order parts quickly and more important, do they have contractual relationship whereby they can order parts and have them air-freighted to the UK, so when parts are required the UK dealers and their customers ARE NOT left high-and-dry ?
Let us know about the quality of the metalwork, fixtures and fixings. Lots of manufacturers, not just the Chinese, make nuts, bolts, screws and other general metal parts out of cheese. Give everything a really good looking at please. I have absolutely no issue with Chinese bikes and several 'proper biker' mates are looking long and hard at the 900DSX.
I definitely have close eye on Voge. See how the second hand market looks when these hit in the next few years time. Seeing the cost is low on these bikes definitely has attracting look. But we all dont talk about what insurance group this might be in. Could cost alot to insurance due to not well known and parts if needed is available for insurance companies. 🤔
@@ontheroadadventure Tried to insure my CFmoto 650MT which was only 7k bike at the time and my insurance shot uo 1k+. What insurance told me was that its not well known and they cant guarantee they can fix or replace when it comes to it. Then again, might change from person to person.
I have a 1250 GS but I tell you, if that gets stolen or something I'd definitely go for the Voge. I used to have the bmw F750 GS with exactly the same chinese engine and it was bombproof. I just found the 1250 boxer a wee bit better balanced and nicer to ride.
@ontheroadadventure Not only does BMW have to worry but Triumph, the Japs and italians should be sweating too. At last the chinese (and Indians) are giving us what we want.
I have terrible brand loyalty, on my second BMW F bike (750 GS, and now 850 GS), my car, BMW M140i. I suspect you guys are the same with your Honda's. As you mentioned, what about back-up when something goes wrong, how long do parts take to arrive? Tonight (Thursday), I have ordered some brake parts from BMW Cotswolds (the BMW car club I am a member of gets you some nice discounts). They didn't have one part in stock, but it will be delivered on Saturday, to Cotswolds and posted out to me the same day. How many service centres do Voge UK, have? I see 20, and if you live above Harrowgate, North Yorkshire, you're out of luck. I suspect that these bikes, are being sold as a lost leader, the prices will go up once they establish a foothold. But we will see! I will maybe give it 5 years to see how it goes. Hopefully, Voge will give you a couple of bikes, so that you can go off around the world exploring and document the reliability of the these bike, plus £50K a year each! Just a thought, Voge UK 🙂. All the best you two, and thanks for the videos!
Having been the owner of a CFmoto 700 CLX Adventure bike and having ALL kinds of issues I tend to be in the mind of never touching a Chinese made bike again. However you do make some very good points about treating this bike and company as its own separate entity. I guess for me it just left a very bad taste in my mouth. Having said that, Ewa the black one you are riding looks really really nice, very stylish and better looking than the BMW GS I think. I guess time will tell about reliability , in the meantime I will stick to my Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 for reliability and longevity. I am interested in what the seat height is on the Voge being vertically challenged?
With this net zero madness how will we ever compete on manufacturing with China! BWW and VW are already panicking in the low EV sales and still we import from China 🤷♂️ it makes no sense! Can’t wait to see what you think of the Voge! Seems an absolute bargain!
Really interested in this bike but could do with knowing abouts dealerships in the UK and the seat height is it adjustable or is there a smaller seat option great video as always 👍
We will talk about dealer networks and numbers soon once we gather the facts for you. Seat is surprisingly low, we are both flat footed on these both sides I am only 5’7 29inch leg
Hey, cool vid as always. Thing is you can buy a quality secondhand GSA bells n whistles for £9000 which will last years! I bet if you purchased a voge within a year a dealer would only offer £4000...
@@ontheroadadventure yes thats true but thats always been the case buying new. I purchased my GS last november for £7700 and is still worth £7000 today. My point is if i were to walk into a shop secondhand GS or Africa twin for £9000 or a new Voge for £9000 id go with Bmw/Africa twin based on build quality and reliability..
I think the question has to be asked why the big brand bikes are SO expensive? I was watching an old MCN review of the 2013 Tiger Sport and they were making a lot of the fact that it was priced under £10k (similar to the Voge), when most adv bikes cost over £10k. Nowadays of course these machines cost £20k and more, so where has that extra £10k come from in 10 years?
I think you are long past inexperienced ... you are a rider who knows your limits.. The bolt tgat connects the gear shifter to the bike on my triumph gt pro just sheared off.. the .part is on back order so clearly a problem ... the dealer has fixed it using non oem part but it shows its not just chinese parts tgat are not readily available .. love the video ... the bikes look great
(1:42) when I look at the bikes, (in general), I always want to know about replacement parts, tires, aftermarket parts, as here in the USA, this Voge are not here yet, but they have the CF MOTO 800 T & MT (as I believe is the same or a sister company under KTM). as replacement parts like oil filter are the same as KTM 790. and again, the price here compared to the KTM, is 13K, to 10,300 USD. What I'm seeing in the states is, (Looking on ride Zilla) aftermarket parts stores, that you cannot buy a matching set of tires. & they offer only one type of saddle bag, as hard packs. for an extra 900 dollars. (Most bike shops here in the USA. do not have them on their listing under brand names) It's almost like they are not getting a warm welcome here.
I think the bike looks really good. I have a royal Enfield super metro 650 . I got it because of the seat high. What it the seat high on your test bikes. I have a inside leg of 29. I don't like being on top toes. I feel unsafe.great video.(Nice cake). 👍👍👍👍
The luggage it comes with is the hard luggage but of course you can fit anything you like. Throttle is smooth in road mode, I’d say in sport the initial bite is snatchy
I used to ride a gsa 1200 but as you say far to expensive I’m looking to get a replacement soon as I can. I’m currently using a adv 350 for work but looking for something like these !
Cfmoto offer a 4 year warranty would be good if Voge did the same as that would give confidence to buyers. Is there a navigation system or can you broadcast it from your phone
Well I must say I would of laughed my T:ts off a few yrs ago if you told me you was looking at a Chinese bike, total crap! However looking at these bikes and from what you guys have said so far they do look and sound really good and you get a lot for your money as standard Hard to fault. Bit like the influx of Korean cars I have one and value for money they are bloody good and similar you get a lot as standard for your money! Looking forward to many more trips with the new rides from you guys 😁👍🏻
These bikes are not ours for the long term we asked Motogb to send us some and let us see what they are really about over a proper period of time not just a press launch day, The fact they agreed and sent two of them speaks volumes i think, They know who we are and that we are likely to put miles on them
@@ontheroadadventure good that’s the only way that we will or you will find out how good and if any reliability issues Maybe you could persuade them to give you both them as long term testers 🤔
Shame they don't have any demo bikes at the dealers. Preston told me "they're sold to order, we don't have a demo bike". I was told just go ride my mates (who i was with) 2024 F800GS as they're the same. I won't be going back.
I have the last of the 850 gsa's with racks but no luggage. Luggage is an expensive minefield. Voge have been really clever here. I am having to save for Luggage now. Would I buy a Voge, Yes if dealer support is in place.
Nice looking bikes not in us you mentioned cf moto and KTM adventure bikes are coming from china. The wife and I bought a KTM 890 s but it was made in Austria
How is your 890s? Mine was terrible, only lasted me 10 days and 1200’miles, I had so many problems they took it back from me with a full refund I suspect because they didn’t want me making more videos with it 😆
My doubts about a Chinese motorcycle would be: availability of parts and where are the dealers? If I look at my region, the nearest dealer is almost 120 kilometers away. The dealers in the Netherlands are also the smaller dealers.
It has to be a vat registered garage to maintain your warranty. All dealers will lead you to believe it must be them to do it because of course they make more money on the servicing of bikes than the sales of new motorcycles
@@ontheroadadventuregood question . Hopefully have it in November . Had a look at one last week and looks well put together so I’ve taken a punt on one . Time will tell ….
Love you both and what you do, but please adhere to the Highway Code. I was fined £60 by the Police for entering the Cyclist Box at a junction and for being over the white line!!! Be careful.
I remeber the reaction of people, then korean cars first came to Germany. Everybody was making fun about them, cause they were just copies of old Vauxhall/Opel. And look there they are now, especially Hyundai and Kia. And it was the same with Royal Enfield. Here in Germany nobody really cared about them some years ago and now they are a big player in the buisiness. It is a big mistake to underestimate chinese brands. What they do is, first copy things, throw them on the market and see whats happening. Then they start to get collaborations with big brands, improve their products by this and bam... there they are. If these brands find some dealers and shops who take care of the service part then they stay in the market for a long time. And the Situation with the parts from CF Moto... ask Freddie Dobbs, how long he waited for his Triumph part he needed.
That’s so true I know of someone with a 10 year old triumph and he needed a wheel spindle… triumph tell him the bikes obsolete and they don’t make it anymore, he had to find one in the states and wait for it
