To me, Vogel im Käfig is really the central musical theme of Attack on Titan. It embodies the characters' core sense of determination against the odds, and establishes the grand scale of the setting and story. It's also such a great piece of musical storytelling itself!

Attack on Titan has one of my favourite soundtracks, and when I think about the music from the series this piece is the first thing that comes to mind! Funny story but this is basically what happened at the church I was initially hoping to film at. I thought there was a chance they might say no due to the show's violent scenes, or maybe the way it portrays religion. But they ultimately said no just because the music is from an anime! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ryan Arcand is from the same city as me! I just looked him up after seeing your comment and I didn't realize he passed away a few years ago. Very saddened by this, his music was very moving 💛

Your play is really gorgeous, but the tune is too long - if you would start the music from the sad and epic part (cut off the peaceful beginning and start from dramatic part)
